Barbara J. Six

Barbara J. Six, 83, of Harrisville, WV, departed this life on November 3, 2024, at her home.

She was born on June 6, 1941, in Mellin, WV, the daughter of the late Aubra Bernard and Ada Newbrough Shrader. Barbara was a 1959 graduate of Harrisville High School and the WV Banking School. She started working at The Union Bank in Harrisville prior to high school graduation and retired from Huntington Bank in 1996. She was a member of the Harrisville Woman’s Club.

Barbara is survived by her daughter, Kristina Steed, grandchildren Andrew David Steed (her pride and joy) and Fredrick Martin Steed II, grand puppy Pepper, special niece Penny Pierce, along with several nieces and a nephew, and many great Mary Street neighbors.

In addition to her parents, Barbara was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years Ronald Six, siblings Sharon Daugherty, Harold Shrader, Mary Isner, and Raymond Shrader, sisters-in-law Jane Simmons and Linda Jackson, and brother-in-law John Six.

In accordance with Barbara’s wishes, a graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, November 8, 2024, at the Harrisville IOOF Cemetery with Pastor Darrell Farley officiating. Raiguel Funeral Home in Harrisville is assisting the family with the arrangements.
