Scott Beaty

Scott Michael Beaty, 60, of Parkersburg, passed away April 30, 2024, at Marietta Memorial Hospital.

He was born February 15, 1964, in Parkersburg, West Virginia, a son of the late Frederick Beaty and Charlene (Biggs) Beaty.

Scott was Baptist by faith and was an Abstractor for Best Title.

He was a member of Switchback RC Racing.

Scott enjoyed RC Racing, spending time with grandchildren and family, family card night and cookouts, and he was his daughter’s good luck charm in basketball.

He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Janie Beaty of Parkersburg, two children, Jessica Dawn Beaty of Parkersburg, Sammie Jo Beaty (Damien Horvat) of Parkersburg, four grandchildren, Jayden, Lilah, Deegan, and Baby Gannon, four brothers and sisters, Jenny Raber, Rick Beaty (Michelle), Jill Ross (Joe), and Patrick Beaty, several nieces and nephews, and special fur babies, Zuma, Marshall, Buddy, and Gracie.

In addition to his parents, Scott was preceded in death by brother-in-law, Mike Raber, and in-laws, William and Jeanette Gum.

Service will be Saturday 7:00 PM at Leavitt Funeral Home Parkersburg with Reverend Larry Miller officiating. Visitation will be Saturday prior to service at the funeral home from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM.
