Delbert Paul Whited

Delbert Paul Whited, 79, of Parkersburg, WV, went to be with the Lord on Monday, April 24, 2023, at WVU-Camden Clark Campus in Parkersburg, WV. He was born July 3, 1943, to the late Virgil and Ruth (Rhodes) Whited.

Delbert was a truck driver for a local company for over fifty years. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.

Delbert is survived by his children, Paul (Becky), Jeff (Molly), Brenda Strum, and Michelle Yocum (Allen), his sisters, Ruthie Evans and Marie Walker, grandchildren, Allen Dailey, Zachary (Brittany), Dillon Sturm (Cheyenne), Travis Whited, Todd Grimm (Kathie), and Kendra Yocum, and his great-grandchildren, Liam Daily, Clayton Whited, Ryland Whited, Paislee Sturm, Kensley Grimm and Kylie Grimm.

In addition to his parents, Delbert was preceded in death by his loving wife, Dottie, and his brothers, Carol, Jim, and Roy Whited.

Funeral Services will be held at 1 pm, Thursday, April 27, 2023 at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home Parkersburg and will be officiated by Pastor Chris Waldron. Burial will follow at Sunset Memory Gardens. Visitation will be at 11 am to 1 pm Thursday at the funeral home.
