Bruce D. Pfalzgraf

Bruce D. Pfalzgraf, age 61, went home to be with Jesus on Jan. 12, 2021, on National Pharmacist Day at Camden Clark Medical Center in Parkersburg, West Virginia.

Bruce was born June 11, 1959, in Parkersburg, West Virginia, to the late Robert and Francis Pfalzgraf Jr.

As a graduate of Parkersburg South class of 1977, Bruce loved music and was an all-state trombonist who was given the John Philip Sousa award. Bruce demonstrated his strong work ethic by working his way through school and earning his degree from WVU and WVU School of Pharmacy in 1985.

Bruce started his career at Camden Clark where he met a beautiful nurse named Molly and married her a year later. They shared thirty-three joyous years together. Bruce worked at Stouts Pharmacy for twenty-five years and was blessed to eventually take over the business as his own. Later Bruce was employed at CVS Pharmacy in Parkersburg. He was a dedicated servant leader. Faithfully following Jesus, he provided for his family, staff, and community. Bruce’s dedication to family and community started as a child in his youth group at South Parkersburg Baptist Church, where he was saved during a youth camp. His values continued as an adult with his family trips and in his impactful involvement at the Liberty Street Church of God youth group. His faithfulness was rewarded when both of his children made their own decisions to follow Jesus just like their father.

Bruce enjoyed spending time with his family, cooking on “The Big Green Egg,” bird watching, photography, and of course, WVU sports. He supported his son through years of travel basketball and proudly walked his only daughter down the aisle.

He is survived by, his wife Molly Underwood Pfalzgraf. Son Micah Pfalzgraf, wife Danielle. Daughter Sarah Beth Allen and husband Timothy. Along with three precious grandsons who affectionately knew him as “Pop”; Gavin, Mathis, and Samuel. He is also survived by three loving sisters; Selene Tucker, Gretta Pfalzgraf, and Jessica Pratt.

During the Pandemic we have chosen a family only service lead by Danny Rumple.

We will be receiving written memories, stories, or videos from those who wish to honor Bruce. Please send to honoringbpfalz@gmail.com.
