Blanche M. Carmichael
Blanche Marie Carmichael, 90, of Ravenswood, WV, passed away Jan. 22, 2021, at her home. She was born Aug. 31, 1930, in Boone, N.C., a daughter of the late Clinton George and Viola Minnie Ham Farmer.
Blanche was a 1949 graduate of Ravenswood High School and also a graduate of WV Business College in Charleston, WV. While living in Clarksburg, WV, she was a dedicated member of the Garden Club and Women’s Club and also enjoyed many WVU Football games with her husband Ron.
She is survived by her son, Charles “Reggie” Carmichael of Ravenswood; granddaughters, Stephanie Zalta of Hampton, VA and Lindsay Carmichael of Bowling Green, KY; great grandchildren, Autumn Paige and Grayson Zalta. A brother-in- law, Eugene McClure and sister-in-law, LeaAnn Carmichael and a special friend, Gwen Thompson also survive, along with two nephews and two nieces.
In addition to her parents, Blanche was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald P. Carmichael, in 2010, and two sisters, Hazel Zahrndt and Emma Jean McClure.
Family will receive friends on Tuesday, Jan. 26, 2021, at Roush Funeral Home, Ravenswood from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Funeral service will begin at 11 a.m. with burial to follow at the Ravenswood Cemetery,
