Stella F. Richards

Stella F. Richards, 92, of Pennsboro, WV, departed this life on Sunday, November 29, 2020, at Pine View Continuous Care in Harrisville, WV.

Stella was born October 17, 1928 on Buzzard Run in Ritchie County, WV, a daughter of the late Harvey O. and Margaret V. (Elder) Richards. She began her working career in the garment industry of Ritchie County, working in both the Pennsboro and Harrisville factories. She then worked as a psychiatric aide at the former Colin Anderson Center in St. Marys, WV where she retired after 16 years. After retirement, she served as a caregiver for the elderly. She was a graduate of Pennsboro High School with the class of 1946 and was a longtime member of the Beason United Methodist Church, Pullman CEOs Womens Club, and was the last surviving charter member of the Rainbow Grange #527. She also was a member of the WV state grange and national grange. She loved singing hymns, cooking, and the holiday season.

She is survived by her brother, Arnold K. Richards (Mary) of Harrisville, WV, along with many loving nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Frances D. Masters (Dale); brothers, Darrell C. Richards (Joyce), Bernard W. Richards (Fredia), and her twin brother, Stanley F. Richards (Betty).

Due to the health concerns of the community, all services for Stella will be private. Burial will take place in the Mt. Pisgah Cemetery near Pullman, WV. McCullough-Rogers Funeral Home in Pennsboro, WV is assisting the family with the arrangements.
