Mary Elizabeth Dugan Dougherty
Mary Elizabeth Dugan Dougherty, 79, of Alpharetta, Georgia, went to join her late husband, John Roy Dougherty in eternity on September 17, 2020, after putting up a good fight with lung cancer.
Mary lived most of her life in Vero Beach, Florida but she was born and raised in Parkersburg, West Virginia to the late Maggie Cunningham and Lawrence Earl Dugan and was one of 11 children. Mary enjoyed cooking, gardening, the beach but most of all her family. Over the years she collected sea shells and antiques. She liked to watch the oldies on TV, like Adam 12, Gunsmoke (any western really), Andy Griffith and Green Acres.
Mary is survived by her oldest daughter, Tereasa Walls Phillips, her husband Paul of Orlando, Florida. A Grandson, Mike Walls with his wife, Apple and 4 Great Granddaughters of Hudson, New Hampshire. Her youngest daughter, Beverly Redstone and her husband, Alan of Alpharetta, Georgia. As well as 2 Granddaughters, Chloe and Caitlin Redstone of Las Vegas, Nevada.
The family will have a private life celebration graveside in 2021.
In lieu of flowers, please prayerfully consider donating blood to your local blood bank. In her later years, Mary donated and loved the idea that her blood could help many others.
