Eloise exhibited strength and character to her children, and many others, while caring for John after his accident. She continued that strength through raising her three children after his death. She then entered the workforce, worked at Grimm’s Grocery, County Pride, and IGA until her retirement at the age of 70. She was a member of Riddle’s Chapel Church, and was a part of their choir.

Many will remember her as she walked in The Gym from the time it opened until March 2020. She was very proud of that fact and that she mowed her yard until she was 87!

A special thank you to her niece, Beth McDougal, for taking such wonderful care of her beloved dog, Callie. The family would also like to thank Butch and Annie Owens, special friends who helped her in many ways. Thank you also to her caregivers who enabled her to be at home.
