Jeremiah Joshua Anderson “Jeremy,” 43, of Parkersburg, WV, departed this life on Monday, May 18, 2020, in Parkersburg, WV, following injuries sustained as a result of an automobile accident.

Jeremy was born April 8, 1977 in Sistersville, WV a son of Herbert E. Anderson, Sr. (Tommi) of Follansbee, WV and Nora J. (Fingal) Smith of Parkersburg, WV. He was previously employed by many auto parts stores as a certified ASE parts specialist most recently for O’Reilly Auto Parts in Parkersburg, WV. He was well known for his karaoke singing and he loved singing with his friends. He also loved fishing, woodworking, helping others, and was very artistic. Jeremy was a former member of the Warehouse Church of Parkersburg, WV.

In addition to his parents, Jeremy is survived by his loving wife, Amanda “Amy” (Smith) Anderson; grandparents, Nora (Markle) Walker of Pennsboro, WV and John Henry Fingal (Diane) of Pittsburgh, PA; sister, Melanie Lockhart (Scott) of Parkersburg, WV; brothers, Carl Smith (Sara) of Parkersburg, WV; Samuel Anderson of Littleton, WV; Christopher Anderson (Irene) of Follansbee, WV, and Herbert Anderson, Jr. of Beech Bottom, WV; father and mother in law, Martin and Diane Smith of Richmond, VA, along with many loving aunts, uncles, cousins, and his nieces and nephews who Jeremy considered as his own children, sister and brother in laws, and his beloved Daisy.

He was preceded in death by his great grandparents, Carl F. and Pearl G. Markle; great grandmother, Lula Anderson; grandfather, Herbert F. Anderson, Sr. and uncles, Brad and Herbert Anderson.

A graveside service will take place 2:30pm, Friday, May 22, 2020, at the McKim Cemetery near Pennsboro, WV. Due to the public health concerns all other services will be private. At a later date, a celebration of life will be scheduled at the convenience of the family.
