James ‘Jim’ Hudkins

James ‘Jim’ Hudkins, 68, of Parkersburg, passed away August 11, 2019 at Camden Clark Medical Center after a lengthy illness. He was born December 7, 1950 in Pennsboro, a son of the late Howard Bricen Hudkins and Betty Nadine Ball Hudkins.

Jim was a 1969 Pennsboro High School graduate and a proud US Army Veteran serving in Vietnam. Jim spent most of his working career in the retail mobile home business and real estate. He enjoyed hunting, golf, avid race fan and was a lifetime VFW member.

Surviving family members include a son, James H Hudkins, II and wife, Diana of Waverly, WV, a sister, Betty Doan and husband, Randy of Parkersburg, a brother, John ‘Yogi’ Hudkins and wife, Deana of Pennsboro, nephews, Tad and Spencer Hudkins and 3 great nieces, also former wife and friend, Patsy Hudkins of Goodlettsville, TN. He was survived by his faithful furry companion, Fergie.

Jim was preceded in death by his parents and nephews, Brian and Mark Keith.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday, August 15, 2019 at 6:00 p.m., at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 2333 Pike St. South Parkersburg with Pastor James Plyburn officiating. The family will receive friends from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Humane Society of Parkersburg.
