William George Robb

William “Bill” George Robb, 81, of Parkersburg, passed away on Nov. 19, 2014, at his home, surrounded by his family.

He was born Oct. 10, 1933, in Parkersburg, a son of the late George and Clara Robb.

He was a Veteran and served in the United States Navy. Bill was a member of the Laborer’s Local Union 1085 for 50 years, and a retired construction worker.

He is survived by his wife, Barbara Robb of 50 years; one son, Michael Robb (Hope) of Rockport, W.Va.; and one daughter, Lisa Shears (Brian) of Williamstown, W.Va.; and his two granddaughters, Emily Jenkins and Madison Shears. Bill loved his grandchildren, as they brought much joy to his life. Both girls were his pride and joy and he loved them very much. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother and three sisters.

At Bill’s request, there will be no visitation or services. Interment will be held at 2 p.m. today in Herndon Cemetery.
