Wood Sheriff
PARKERSBURG — The Wood County Sheriff’s Office released the following reports for the period from March 5-6:
March 5
* A citation was issued to Nicole Mae Harbison, 19, of Lang Farm Road, Marietta, for failure to obey traffic light.
* Deputies responded to Glendale Road/Williams Highway in reference to a vehicle crash. The driver had struck a guardrail and was having a medical situation. The driver was transported to the hospital. Minor damage was reported to the vehicle and no damage to the guardrail.
March 6
* A traffic stop was conducted and a citation was issued to Suetaraha Dalaina Patton, 35, of Ryanwood Village, for driving on suspended/revoked. A passenger in the vehicle, Shavannah Nicole Martin, 32, of Braun Road, Belpre, was arrested on a warrant for a charge of shoplifting issued through the Parkersburg Police Department. She was processed at the Holding Center processed and confined pending her arraignment.
* A vehicle crash on I-77 was investigated. The driver and passengers advised they were all fine. The driver stated while driving south on I-77 they struck a patch of black ice and lost control of the vehicle going into the median. The vehicle was towed.
* A deputy while traveling westbound on W.Va. 95 entered the 40 mph school zone with the lights flashing properly when a vehicle was observed in front of the deputy not slowing for the school zone. A traffic stop was conducted and a citation issued to Anna Jean McElfresh, 33, of Stoney Creek Lane, for speeding (49 in a 40 mph school zone).
* A traffic stop was conducted after a vehicle was observed to have an expired registration. Upon contact with the driver the registration and insurance were expired. A citation was issued to Sherry Lynn Mills, 59, of 12th Avenue, on those charges. The vehicle was towed.
* A deputy responded to Borland Springs Road in reference to a tractor trailer stuck on the low water bridge at the intersection of Issac Fork and Borland Springs. The driver was unable to back up because of the narrow dimensions. The driver showed the deputy where GPS directions showed taking Issac Fork to go onto W.Va. 31. While attempting to back him up he was unable to safely back out of the turn in front of the bridge. A wrecker arrived to pull him out.
* A traffic stop was conducted on a vehicle after it was observed having an expired registration. A citation was issued to Leann Janele Moore, 36, of Third Street, Marietta, for expired registration.
* Deputies responded to the Red Roof Inn on East Seventh Street in reference to a domestic disturbance in progress. The complainant/victim stated that she and the other female have been in an on-and-off relationship and have been staying at the Red Roof Inn. Upon her returning on this date she and the other female became involved in an argument which became physical. Gabriella Ashley Calloway, 34, was arrested on a charge of domestic battery. She was transported to the Holding Center for processing and confined pending her arraignment before a magistrate.
* A traffic stop was conducted on a vehicle after it was observed appearing to be without functioning tail lights. Upon contact with the driver he stated he did not have a valid operator license and this was a friend’s vehicle and he did not have insurance or proof of registration. John Edward Boston, 42, of Cedar Lane, was arrested on charges of driving on suspended/revoked, tail lamp violation, expired registration and no insurance. He was transported and processed at the Holding Center and placed pending his arraignment.
