PARKERSBURG — The Wood County Sheriff’s Office released the following reports on Aug. 3:

July 29

* Dakota David Mackey, 28, of Neal Street was arrested on a warrant for violation of probation. He was transported and placed in the Holding Center.

* Deputies responded to Blair Avenue for a fight in progress where both a male and female had fled the scene prior to law enforcement arrival. The victim had a wound to his left ear, however, refused medical treatment. Warrants will be obtained for domestic battery and domestic assault.

* A deputy spoke with the complainant who reported her vehicle had been spray painted with white paint on the hood, sides and back with a scribble pattern while parked at Mineral Manor Way. She also stated the license plate was painted.

* A deputy responded to the North End Storage Units located on Old St. Mary’s Pike for a breaking and entering. The complainant reported someone had entered the storage unit and removed items.

* A deputy spoke with the complainant who reported items were taken from his residence on Elm Street in Davisville. Taken were a 32-inch TLC television, a PS4 and an Xbox 360.

* A deputy responded to South Meadville Road for a single-vehicle accident. The driver stated she had swerved from striking another vehicle causing her to go off the road and over the small embankment. No injuries were reported and the vehicle was towed.

* Deputies responded to Meadowbrook Acres for a domestic assault with threats.

* A deputy responded to North Hills Drive for a larceny from a vehicle. The complainants stated several items had been taken including a wallet and two bags that contained shoes and make-up.

* Jennifer Nicole Wolfe, 29, of St. Marys Avenue was arrested on a warrant for destruction of property through the Parkersburg Police Department. She was processed, arraigned before a magistrate and released on a PR bond.

* A citation was issued to Thomas DeWayne Canterbury, 18, of Wolf Run Road, Gandeeville, for no MVI and no registration.

* Harley Glen Naylor, 58, of Broadway Avenue was arrested on a warrant for driving on suspended/revoked.

* Sierra Nichole Roberts, 19, of Homewood Road was arrested on a warrant for four counts of violation of a protective order.

* Deputies responded to I-77 for a tractor trailer traveling south with its rear brakes on fire. Deputies were notified several subjects attempted to get the driver to pull over since the 179 milemarker and that he had pulled over at the 172.6mm. Upon the deputies’ arrival the brakes were on fire and the fire was put out by the deputy with a fire extinguisher, but it reignited and the fire department responded and extinguished the fire. Norman Lane Weitzel, 62, Springfield, Mo., was issued a citation for DUI/CDL.

* Jon Erik Martin, 37, of Montgomery Hill Road was issued a citation for possession of less than 15 grams.

* Garland Anthony Ritchey, 44, of South Third Street was arrested on charges of domestic battery and domestic assault.

* Benjamin Clark Ashworth, 47, of Gallatin Street, Ravenswood, was arrested on charges of trespassing and obstructing an officer.

* A citation was issued to John DeWayne Cooper, 54, of Ash Circle for driving on suspended/revoked.

* Garland Anthony Ritchie, 44, of South Third Street was arrested on charges of bond violation.

* Christian Lee Arnold, 21 of Gardenia Drive was arrested on a warrant for destruction of property issued through the Parkersburg Police Department. He was placed pending his arraignment.

* Dante Kenneth Frazier, 30, of Moyer Avenue was arrested on a capias issued out of circuit court on charges of knowingly or intentionally possessing a controlled substance without a valid prescription.

* The department answered 227 calls for service: 27 traffic stops; 10 complaints by phone and in person; 12 domestic calls and domestic protective orders served; six suspicious persons and vehicles; five traffic accidents; five mental hygiene order/pick up /transport; eight intrusion alarms; eight disorderly subject/vehicles; six check welfare/check subject; 11 residence/business/area check.
