ATHENS — The Athens County Sheriff’s Office released the following reports Oct. 2-5

* A man reported money being taken out of his account that was unauthorized.

* A caller from E. First Street in The Plains reported mail being continuously scattered in or near her yard.

* Deputies responded to Chauncey for a landlord-tenant dispute. The caller advised she has been having issues with her live-in landlord, who had been allowing her to stay at his residence for free. She stated he has been making her uncomfortable and has now asked him to sop, now he is going to try to evict her. Both parties were advised to leave each other alone and were advised of their civil options.

* Deputies responded to Amesville for an unruly juvenile complaint. The caller advised she has two juvenile foster kids at her residence, that she was caught throwing rocks out of their bedroom window at a vehicle across the street. The caller advised her boss is going to reimburse the victim and does not want any criminal charges at this time, but she did want the juveniles counseled.

* Deputies responded to Guysville for a female having a mental breakdown. The female was holding a stick and stated if they dropped the stick, bombs would blow up all over the city. The female was transported to O’Bleness Hospital for a mental evaluation without incident.

* Deputies responded to N. Plains Road for a well-being check. Deputies knocked on the door, but did not make contact. Deputies did not observe any vehicles in the driveway.

* Deputies responded to Cameron Road for a well-being check. Deputies knocked on the door, but did not make contact. Deputies did not observe any vehicles in the drive way.

* Deputies responded to E. Fourth Street for a well-being check. Deputies spoke with a female at the residence and were advised to check on an 8-year old. Deputies were advised the mom got the child 10 minutes prior to their arrival.

* Deputies responded to Connett Road for a suspicious person. Deputies arrived on the scene and spoke with a male who stated he was looking for his phone. Deputies noticed his 4-year-old daughter was sitting in the front seat and was not in the car seat. Deputies advised the male to contact somebody to bring him a car seat and was able to get somebody to bring him a car seat.

* Deputies took a report of a telecommunications harassment.

* Deputies responded to a home alarm on Lake Lane in Athens where the home owner advised he set it off and stated it was a new system and he was not accustomed to it.

* Deputies were dispatched to Center Street in Mineral for Adult Protective Services to go with them to the home.

* Deputies were called to Matheny Road in Nelsonville for a report of a domestic dispute.

* Deputies received a complaint of a subject on court bond who removed their ankle monitor and left the residence.

* Deputies responded to Roy Avenue for a female calling in about a noise complaint.

* Deputies responded to New Marshfield for a report of a suspicious person trespassing on private property.

* Deputies responded to Connett Road in The Plains for a report of suspicious person.

* Deputies responded to Hill Street in Albany for a report of an assault and criminal damaging. Upon arrival, it was determined that these events occurred in Vinton County.

* Deputies were called to Steinmeyer Road in New Marshfield for a report of a suspicious person.

* Deputies were responded to Albany for a female erratically acting and has a confirmed warrant out of Washington County. Deputies made contact with the female and placed her under arrest. She was transported her to the county line where custody was transferred to a Washington County Deputy.

* Deputies responded to Coolville for a theft complaint. The caller advised his stereo speaker was stolen from his campsite.

* Deputies responded to Glouster for a complaint of loud music late at night.

* Deputies responded to Millfield for a trespassing complaint. The caller advised her ex-boyfriend was at her residence knocking on the door and refused to leave. Deputies arrived on scene and the caller advised the male had left and required no further action at this time.

* Deputies responded to The Plains for a stalking complaint. The caller advised her friend’s soon-to-be-ex-husband has been repeatedly driving up and down her road harassing her. Deputies made contact with the male and advised him to cease his activity.

* Deputies were advised of a possible intoxicated person driving in Trimble Township. Deputies and Highway Patrol troopers patrolled the area at that time but did not observe any intoxicated drivers.

* Deputies responded to Albany for a neighbor dispute. The caller advised he was upset to his neighbors using marijuana. Deputies did not locate any marijuana.

* Deputies responded to the Albany Marathon for possible drug activity. The call advised he witnessed a male loitering around the building approaching vehicles and believed he may be selling drugs. Deputies patrolled the area, but did not locate anyone matching the description.

* Deputies were advised of dogs barking in the late-night hours near a residence in New Marshfield.

* Deputies received a report of a loud party at the Wayne National Forest Campground near Burr Oak. Deputies patrolled the campground but did not hear any excessive noise or observe any signs of a large party.

* Deputies received a report of suspicious activity in Chauncey. The caller reported suspects were in the alley possibly parting out exhaust systems. Deputies patrolled the area reported, but had negative contact with any criminal activity at that time.

* Deputies responded to Mush Run Road in Athens for a report of a suicidal female. The caller reported that her adult daughter was intoxicated and threatening to harm herself. The caller also stated she had left the daughter alone at the house and was no longer there. On scene, deputies made contact with the daughter who appeared sober and said she was fine. She stated she was not suicidal, with no indications that the woman was actually thinking about harming herself, deputies resumed patrol.

* Deputies responded to a report of a domestic disturbance in a vehicle on U.S. 50 near Guysville. Deputies met with Highway Patrol troopers who had located the vehicle and were speaking with the occupants. No violence or physical violence had occurred at that time.

* Deputies received a report of a disturbance at a residence in Troy Township. Deputies responded to the residence and spoke with the residents. No physical violence or threats of physical violence were reported. The female resident decided to remove her property at the time and left with a family member.

* Deputies responded to a report of a prowler around a residence in Carthage Township.

* Deputies received a report of a soon to be ex wife destroying property of her husband’s. Deputies responded to the location the alleged destruction was occurring. No persons was present at the time, however deputies observed a smoldering pile of items in fire pit.

* Deputies responded to Bean Road in The Plains where The Plains Fire Department requested law enforcement. Upon arrival, it was determined that the Athens County Coroner’s Office and State Fire Marshal’s Office was requested. State Fire Marshal’s took control of the scene upon arrival and no further action were needed.

* Deputies responded to North Plains Road in The Plains for an abandoned vehicle parked under a carport. Owner of the vehicle was located two houses down who reported he had parked the vehicle in his driveway. It is unknown if the car was pushed down the street as a prank from a friend or if the vehicle was attempted to be stolen.

* Deputies responded to Hickory Creek in The Plains on an aggressive patient in need of medical treatment. Prior to arrival, EMS advised to disregard that they were transporting the patient.

* Deputies responded to Jacksonville for a dispute. Deputies made contact with a female who stated she was in an altercation with her boyfriend because she was not getting ready fast enough. The male fled prior to law enforcement’s arrival and the female stated she did not wish to pursue any criminal charges at this time.

* Deputies responded to The Plains for a theft report. Contact was made with the caller who advised sometime during the past few days that the storage unit was broken into. At this time there are no leads in this case.

* Deputies responded to Mush Run Road in regards to a criminal damaging complaint. The caller advised someone had drove into a tree on his property, did donuts in his front yard and damaged two vehicles on the property. The caller had no suspects at this time.

* Deputies responded to The Plains in regards to a theft complaint. The caller reported two propane tans and one fireplace stolen from her property. The victim has no suspects at this time.

* Deputies responded to The Plains in regards to two subjects in a vehicle at the post office arguing with each other. Deputies made contact with both individuals and everything was OK. The female was found to have a warrant and was arrested and transported to the Southeastern Ohio Regional Jail.

* Deputies responded to The Athens area for an abandoned vehicle. The caller advised she did not want the vehicle towed, but wanted to make sure everything was OK. Contact was made with the vehicle owner who advised the vehicle was disabled but would remove it as soon as she could.

* Deputies responded to Hartman Road in The Plains on a report of a trespasser. Caller reported her fence in the back of her residence was damaged from someone trespassing. Deputy discussed better lighting at the rear of the residence and possible surveillance cameras at the read of the residence.

* Deputies responded to the Glouster Park on a private property single car accident. On arrival it was found the vehicle had backed into a ditch. Caller advised on arrival that law enforcement was not needed.

* Deputies responded to Strouds Run in Athens on a call for help. On arrival contact was made with the property owner who advised everything was fine at the residence.

* Deputies received a report of a loud part at the Wayne National Forset campground near Burr Oak. Deputies patrolled the campground but did not hear any excessive noise or observe any signs of a large party.

* Deputies received a report of an activated commercial burglary alarm. On scene, deputies found the building to be secure with no apparent signs of tampering or forced entry. The incident was determined to be a false alarm.

* Deputies responded to The Plains for a well-being check. The caller reported a woman sitting outside of an apartment on a mattress and she was crying. On the scene, the woman told deputies she had discovered roaches in her apartment and she did not want to sleep in there. She advised she was already in contact with the landlord in regard to the issue and wished to be left alone.

* Deputies received an automated alarm at a business in York Township. While in route, units were advised it was a false alarm.

* Deputies received a report of a male trespassing at a family member’s residence outside Chauncey. The caller advised the male was acting irrational and refusing to leave. Deputies made contact with the involved parties and advised the male to leave.

* Deputies received a report of a woman showing up on the caller’s porch and saying she was assaulted and wanted to get to the hospital. EMS transported the woman to O’Bleness Hospital where deputies then followed up with her. No physical injuries were observed, but the woman elected to undergo further scans and test in regard to other issues. The woman did not wish to make a criminal complaint at that time. Deputies issued her contact information to use if she decided to do so.

* Deputies responded to The Plains for an activated commercial burglary alarm. While en route, the alarm company advised of an additional fire alarm at the same location. On scene, deputies found the building to be secure with no signs of forced entry. The Plain Fire Department responded as well. A key holder for the building arrived on scene and was able to verify that both incidents were false alarms. With no criminal act or fire present, no further action was needed.
