* Christopher S. Murvine, 25, 1111 Latrobe St., Parkersburg, was arraigned in Wood County for Doddridge County on a battery charge and was released on a $1,000 bond.

* Michael Lee Smarr, 36, 196 Marie Lane, Washington, W.Va., pleaded guilty to no seat belt and was assessed a $25 fine.

* Nicholas Scott Keiser, 35, 111 Kittle St., Williamstown, pleaded no contest to speeding and was assessed $170.25 in fines and court costs.

* Adrienna Carol Gates, 54, 72 Mitchell Way, Washington, W.Va., pleaded guilty to third-offense driving under suspension, was sentenced to 60 days home confinement and was assessed $310.25 in fines and court costs. Gates also pleaded guilty to obstructing, was sentenced to 60 days home confinement and was assessed $160.25 in court costs. The sentences will run concurrently.

Wood Magistrate

PARKERSBURG – The following reports were released July 31 by Wood County Magistrate Court.

* Paul Scott Witkosky, 55, 400 Country Club Road, Vienna, pleaded no contest to a speeding citation, 54 mph in a 45 mph zone, and was assessed $165.25 in fines and court fees.

* Brandon Joe-Seth Newman, 32, 105 Herning Lane, Parkersburg, waived a preliminary hearing on a charge of child neglect and was bound over to circuit court.

* Justin Charles Haynes, 26, 206 Monongahela Ave., Parkersburg, was arraigned on charges of battery of a police officer, obstructing an officer, public intoxication and disorderly conduct and was released on a $1,600 bond.

* Victoria Ann Dye, 23, 3109 Liberty St., Parkersburg, was arraigned on a charge of first-offense DUI and was released on a $500 bond.

* Joshua Lee Davis, 31, 2021 Fourth Ave., Parkersburg was arraigned on a charge of no operator’s license and was released on a $1,500 personal recognizance bond.

* Robert Scott Fouch, 44, 2316 Washington Ave., Huntington, was arraigned on a charge of driving a commercial motor vehicle with a blood alcohol content of .04 or greater and was released on a $500 bond.

* Philip John Wilson Jr., 29, 3092 Harris Highway, Washington, W.Va., was arraigned on charges of disorderly conduct and obstructing an officer and was released on a $1,000 bond.

* Thomas Edward Life, 39, 1202 Lynn St., Parkersburg, was arraigned on a battery charge and was released on a $500 bond.

* Theresa Marie Athey, 45, 1992 Lake Washington Road, Washington, W.Va., pleaded no contest to a speeding citation, 34 mph in a 25 mph zone, and was assessed $170.25 in fines and court fees..

* Gary Leonard Callihan, 60, 1007 Moore Ave., Parkersburg, pleaded no contest to a no child restraint citation and was assessed $175.25 in fines and court fees.

* Jacob Christopher Carder, 26, 112 Chestnut St., Belmont, W.Va., pleaded guilty to a speeding citation, 50 mph in a 35 mph zone, and was assessed $180.25 in fines and court fees.

* Jeremy Gray Merrill, 34, 4321 14th Ave., Parkersburg, waived a preliminary hearing on three counts of breaking and entering and was bound over to circuit court.
