MARIETTA – The Marietta Police Department released the following reports on July 30:

* On July 29, Derick E Simpkins, 27, 309 Harmar St., was arrested on a Municipal Court warrant for driving under suspension and with an obstructed view and was taken to jail.

* On July 29, John Smith of 305 Seventh St. reported damage to his screen door.

* On July 29, officers checked on a report of a drunk man causing a disturbance at 710 Front St. The subject was gone when officers arrived.

MARIETTA – The Marietta Police Department released the following reports on July 28:

* On July 27, Joshua Keith Ross, 34, of 45 Hickory Lane, New Matamoras, was arrested in the 700 block of Pike Street for tampering with drugs and was taken to jail.

* On July 27, an employee of Rowland Motors, 114 Industry Road, reported a theft of wheels and tires from a 2002 Chevrolet Impala.

* On July 27, Kari Antill of Millfork Road reported a theft of her wallet from her unlocked vehicle while it was parked at Go Mart.

* On July 27, officers checked a report of a juvenile walking on the outside railing of the Washington Street Bridge. The juvenile was located on the railing over Washington Street and advised he was bored. The juvenile’s probation officer will be handling the matter.

* On July 27, Joshua Keith Ross, 34, of 45 Hickory Lane, New Matamoras, was arrested in the 700 block of Pike Street for tampering with drugs and was taken to jail.

* On July 21, Phyllis Brake of 411 E. Spring St. reported a theft of mail from her mailbox.

* On July 21, Don Archer of Christ United Methodist Church, 301 Wooster St., reported someone cut the lock off a storage building, but nothing was taken.

* On July 21, officers checked on a fight at 710 Ninth St. The parties had separated on arrival and the incident stemmed from someone blocking a driveway.

MARIETTA – The Marietta Police Department recently released the following reports:

* On July 17, Vickie Elaine Cain, 45, of 4806 First Ave., Parkersburg, was arrested for theft at Wal-Mart after she shoplifted $171.57 worth of merchandise. Cain was taken to jail.

* On July 17, Keith M. Saunders, 28, of 918 13th St., Parkersburg, was arrested on a municipal court warrant for operating a vehicle while intoxicated, no driver’s license and driving left of center. Saunders was taken to jail.

* On July 17, Benjamin Mayer of 623 Eighth St. reported his cell phone was stolen while he was at the Marietta Bantam League field. Mayer’s phone was recovered but all of his information had been cleared out of the phone.

* On July 17, Herbert Raymond Gill, 49, of 110 Browns Alley, was arrested at headquarters on a charge of assault which stemmed from an incident at 113 Pike St.

* On July 18, an employee of Wal-Mart reported the theft of a Power Stroke pressure washer.

* On July 20, Dylan M. Tennant, 18, address unknown, was arrested on a municipal court warrant for violating his probation and was taken to jail.

* On July 20, Delbert Michael Gossett, 31, of 312 Lancaster St., was arrested at that address on a warrant from Geauga County, Ohio, for failure to appear on a charge of illegal manufacture of drugs. Gossett was taken to jail to await his court appearance.

* On July 21, Eric B. Siders, 26, of 6070 Sandhill Road, was arrested on a Marietta Municipal Court warrant for two counts of possession of drugs and was taken to jail.

* On July 21, Brittany Scott, 25, of 312 Lancaster St., was arrested at that address on a warrant from Geauga County for failure to appear on a charge of illegal manufacture of drugs. Scott was taken to jail.

MARIETTA – The Marietta Police Department released the following reports on July 17.

* On July 16, Codi Andrew Norman, 27, of 1903 15th Ave., Parkersburg, was arrested at Kmart for theft and obstructing official business and was taken to jail.

* On July 16, Emily Chandler of 215 Marion St. reported the theft of her cell phone.

* On July 16, Daniel Allen Taylor, 30, of 182 Dawes Circle, was arrested at Dawes Circle for disorderly conduct by intoxication and was taken to jail.

MARIETTA – The Marietta Police Department released the following reports on July 16.

* On July 15, Danny Eugene Thomas II, 35, homeless, was arrested in the 100 block of Alta Street for auto theft and possession of drug paraphernalia and was taken to jail.

* On July 15, Kelly Jane Farnsworth, 27, of 708 Front St., was arrested at that address on a municipal court warrant for hit skip and was charged with resisting arrest. Farnsworth was also charged with assault and obstructing official business which stemmed from incidents that happened on July 14. Farnsworth was taken to jail.

MARIETTA – The Marietta Police Department released the following reports on July 14:

* On July 13, Stratton Johnson of 205 Faye Ave. reported a burglary of his home between 6:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. Sunday while he was away. Stolen from the home were cash, an HP laptop computer and a Winchester shotgun. Entry was gained by forcing open the front door of the residence.

* On July 13, Jeff Simoniette of Ohio 555 reported a window of his Dodge van was broken while it was parked at 105 Pike St.

* On July 13, officers checked on an argument at 731 Glendale Road.

* On July 13, officers mediated a family dispute at 190 Dawes Circle.

* On July 13, officers checked on an argument at 122 Harmar St.

* On July 13, officers checked on a brother and sister arguing at 106 Riley Drive. * On July 13, officers checked on a possible breaking and entering in progress at the Marietta Boat Club, 713 Allen St. Witnesses said a black male and a white female were trying to enter a door of the club with a knife. No damage or suspects could be located. A janitor working inside the building also heard nothing.

MARIETTA – The Marietta Police Department released the following reports on July 15.

* On July 14, Charles Reed Jr. of Little Hocking reported his credit card account was used without his permission at Wal-Mart.

* On July 14, an employee of the Tiger Stop reported a woman threw her coin change in her in face. The investigation continues.

* On July 14, William David Pham, 23, of 111 W. Montgomery St., was arrested at Wal-Mart for theft after he shoplifted an XBox controller and a Red Bull energy drink. Pham was released on bond.

MARIETTA – The Marietta Police Department released the following reports July 13:

* On July 11, Patrick Eugene North, 53, of 8920 Old Grade Road, Chesterhill, Ohio, was arrested at 1106 Colegate Drive for OVI and failure to drive in marked lanes. North was taken to headquarters where he tested 0.265 percent blood-alcohol content and was taken to jail.

* On July 11, Todd Allen Covey, 47, of 4101 Newells Run Road, Marietta, was cited for disorderly conduct in the 200 block of Sheldon Avenue.

* On July 11, Jona Hall, of 621 Virginia St., Marietta, reported two white males entered her home at about 4:25 a.m. while she was asleep. Hall screamed and the two males fled the residence. The two men have been identified. It was discovered that the two men were intoxicated and entered Hall’s home thinking it was the home of a family member. The case is still under investigation.

* On July 11, Tyler Michael Benson, of County House Lane, Marietta, reported being assaulted by an individual known to him.

* On July 12, Laura Thompson Fulton, 46, of 306 Warren St., was arrested in the 200 block of Fourth Street for OVI and failure to control after she crashed into a parked vehicle. Fulton was taken to headquarters where she tested 0.283 percent blood-alcohol content.

* On July 12, Hayley Elizabeth Genger, of Parkersburg, reported that someone flattened all four tires on her vehicle while it was parked in the 200 block of Greene Street.

* On July 12, Joshua Michael Argabrite, 28, of 2410 Janet Drive, Parkersburg, was cited in the 100 block of Butler Street for driving under suspension, squealing tires and expired license plates.

* On July 12, Glenn Robertson, of 1027 Hadley Lane, Marietta, reported that someone threw his patio table into his living room window.

* On July 13, John David Bigler, 40, of 109 Washington St., Marietta, was cited in the 200 block of Fourth Street for speeding and driving under suspension.

MARIETTA – The Marietta Police Department released the following reports on July 9.

* On July 8, officers checked on a disturbance at 711 Quarry St., which was found to be an argument between a father and son.

* On July 8, Brandon Michael Schmidt, 25, of 207 Lancaster St., was arrested at 240 Hillcrest Drive for theft. July 7, Schmidt stole a pair of Nike sneakers and a pack of women’s socks from the Shoe Department, 209 Captain D. Seeley MIA Drive. A short time prior to Schmidt’s arrest, Melissa Warrener, 35, of 240 Hillcrest Drive was arrested at the Frontier Shopping Center on a Marietta Municipal Court warrant for theft. At the time of her arrest, Warrener was found to have in her possession the stolen Nike shoes. Schmidt admitted to the theft of the shoes and told officers that he had given them to Warrener for her son. Warrener was charged with receiving stolen property and taken to jail and Schmidt was released on a personal recognizance bond.

MARIETTA – The Marietta Police Department released the following reports on July 8.

* On July 7, Mark Allen Carey, 51, of 117 Dean St. was arrested on Oak Street for forgery, possessing criminal tools and a driver’s license suspension and was taken to jail.

* On July 7, Jennifer Lynn Haught, 22, and Scott A Bartlett, 30, both of 172 Dawes Circle, were cited for disorderly conduct by fighting at their residence and were released.

MARIETTA – The Marietta Police Department released the following reports on July 7.

* On July 6, an officer investigated damage to a window of the Lock House at 243 Front St.

* On July 6, Linda Grim of Spokane, Wash. reported that her wallet containing cash, a credit card, and paperwork were stolen from her purse at No. 1 Ellenwood St.

* On July 2, Daniel Shaffer of 710 Fourth St. reported his vehicle had been stolen by Charles Raymond Cody Miller, 19, who was staying with his family due to the fact Miller was homeless. On July 7, the Morgan County Sheriff’s Office advised the Marietta Police Department that they had arrested Miller driving a different vehicle with the license plates from the stolen vehicle on it. The Morgan County Sheriff’s Office also recovered the stolen vehicle owned by Daniel Shaffer. Marietta Police Department officers met with Morgan County deputies and arrested Miller for motor vehicle theft and burglary. Miller would not talk about the theft as he said he wanted to sleep. Miller was taken to jail.

MARIETTA – The Marietta Police Department released the following reports on July 6:

* On July 3, an officer investigated a theft of a purse from a vehicle at 705 Pike St.

* On July 3, an officer checked on a report of a female lying on the sidewalk at 450 Pike St. The female was gone on arrival.

* On July 4, Stephen Michael Six, 47, of 836 Pike St., apartment 19, was arrested for domestic violence and assault and taken to Marietta Memorial Hospital for health related issues.

* On July 4, Timothy William Lohri, 33, of 80 Mountaineer Trailer Park, Williamstown, and Kirk Russell Slider, 31, of 70 Mountaineer Trailer Park, Williamstown, were arrested at Wal-Mart for theft after they stole items valued at $56.77. Both Lohri and Slider posted bond and were released.

* On July 4, Christy Lynn Collins, 32, of 1483 Dutton Hill Road, Macksburg, Ohio, was cited at Greene and Warner streets for driving under suspension and having fictitious license plates.

* On July 4, an officer checked on a disturbance at Lord and Harmar streets which turned out to be an argument over traffic.

* On July 4, an officer checked a report of a drunk female lying in a yard at 207 Coventry Road. The female was gone on officers arrival.

* On July 4, officers checked on a possible fight in the 100 block of Harmar Street. The fight was found to be an argument over a phone.

* On July 5, Dane Anthony Mason, 36, of 38 Old St. Marys Pike, Parkersburg, was arrested at 902 Fourth St. for criminal trespass after he was found lying in a back yard. Mason was taken to jail.

* On July 5, Amanda Styer, of Reno, advised that her vehicle was scratched and the tires were flattened overnight while parked at 1028 1/2 Greene Street.

* On July 5, Joseph Blaine Carpenter, 25, of 771 Buckeye Ave., was arrested in the 300 block of Pike Street for operating a vehicle while intoxicated, license suspension, and failure to use turn signals. Carpenter was taken to headquarters, where he tested 0.118 percent blood-alcohol content. Carpenter admitted to drinking 6 beers and was released on a bond.

* On July 5, an officer checked on a disturbance at 414 Harmar St. The incident was found to be a father and daughter arguing.

* On July 5, officers checked on a report of females fighting at 217 Greene St. The parties were separated and went their ways.

* On July 5, officers checked on a fight at 205 Greene St. No fight was found.

* On July 5, the resident at 108 Sheridan St. was advised to keep noise and music down after a complaint was received.

MARIETTA – The Marietta Police Department released the following reports on July 1.

* On June 30, officers advised a resident at 221 Kenwood St. to remove a basketball hoop from the roadway and for kids to stay out of the roadway.

* On June 30, Mikaela Morgan Schramm, 19, 218 Alta St., was arrested for theft at WalMart, 804 Pike St., and released on bond.

* On June 30, Gary Lee McFadden, 44, reported an aggravated burglary at 210 S. Fifth St. in which his unlocked house was entered with jewelry and coins being stolen.

* On June 30, a welfare check was done on a 12-year-old male at 105 Gilman Ave., Lot 10, which is a trailer that is scheduled to be destroyed. Children Services took the child and turned him over to his mother.

* On June 30, Roxanne McGehee, 1415 Lancaster St., Apt 1A, reported a phone harassment complaint.

* On June 30, Kimberly Ann Cornute, 36, 207 Wooster St., was arrested at 301 Putnam St. on a warrant for failure to appear and taken to the county jail.

MARIETTA – The Marietta Police Department released the following reports on June 30.

* On June 26, Hair & Beyond Salon, 317 Third St., reported someone had kicked in the rear door and had been in an attached apartment.

* On June 26, Giant Eagle, 128 Frontier Shopping Center, reported that a female who had been advised not to return to the store after having been caught shoplifting earlier in the month had returned and stolen items again. When confronted by employees, the female took off and left her wallet and identification behind. She will be summoned into court for theft and criminal trespass.

* On June 267, James Allen Cooper of 1311 Cisler Lane, Marietta, was cited in the 400 block of Butler Street for disorderly conduct by intoxication and taken to the county jail.

* On June 27, Constance Marie McEldowney of St. Marys was cited for ACDA out of a two unit non-injury accident in the 400 block of Pike Street.

* On June 27, Debra Wagner reported the theft of a blister pack of 15 Percocet pills at 400 Seventh St.

* On June 27, Cortney Dawn Pugh was arrested on a warrant at 717 Greene St.

* On June 27, Dallas Farnsworth, homeless, was arrested in the 100 block of Franklin Street for disorderly conduct-intoxicated, criminal damaging and resisting arrest. Taken to county jail.

* On June 28, a non-injury hit-skip traffic crash was reported at 314 Sixth St.

* On June 28, Selina Marie Johnson of Parkersburg was cited for failure to control and no operator’s license out of a single vehicle non-injury accident in the 200 block of Gilman Avenue.

* On June 28, Ricky David Terrell, 836 Pike St., Apt. 21, Marietta, was arrested at Wal-Mart, 804 Pike St., for theft and criminal trespass. Released on bond.

* On June 29, three black males in a black 2007 Chevy SUV with North Carolina plates forced entry into 406 Warren St. and stole TVs, jewelry and a knife. Through an investigation, police found that the vehicle had been reported stolen out of Parma Heights, Ohio.
