MARIETTA – The Marietta Police Department released the following reports on June 25.

* On June 24, Thomas Gene Carpenter Jr., 43, of 214 Patricia Drive, Apt. G, Byesville, Ohio, was arrested for an assault that took place in the 200 block of Maple Street and was taken to jail.

* On June 24, an employee of L & P Services, 207 Colegate Drive, reported someone had written two checks using the business account number.

* On June 24, an employee of Peebles Department Store, 450 Pike St., reported fraudulent merchandise returns by an employee.

* On June 24, an officer checked a report of a drunk female pushing a baby stroller in the 100 block of Harmar Street. The female was not located.

* On June 24, officers checked a report of a disturbance at 205 Phillips St.

* On June 24, Robbie Carr of 105 Wooster St. reported he was being harassed by three individuals on Facebook and by text messages.

* Scott Lee Carpenter, 53, of 415 1/2 Third St., was cited for driving without a license in the 400 block of Second Street.

* On June 23, officers checked on a report of a car alarm going off in the 100 block of Clark Street. Nothing was found.

MARIETTA – The Marietta Police Department released the following reports on June 23.

* On June 22, Daron Gene Allen, 48, of 129 Sunset Drive, was arrested at that address for menacing and was taken to jail.

* On June 22, Millie Fay Owens, 67, of 200 CR 1788, Yantis, Texas, was arrested at the Fairfield Inn for menacing by stalking. Owens made threats to the female victim by texts and phone calls and told police she would beat the victim to death. Owens continued to call and threaten the victim after being told by police to stop. The victim requested a protection order and Owens was taken to jail.

* On June 22, Josey Barton of 111 W. Montgomery St. reported her medications were stolen from her purse which she had left in a car with a friend while she went into Speedway, 433 Second St.

* On June 22, officers checked on a report of a male and female arguing at 533 Second St. All was OK and the two separated for the evening.

MARIETTA – The Marietta Police Department released the following reports on June 22:

* On June 19, Phillip Dale West Jr., 27, 836 Pike St., Apartment 17, was arrested at that address for abusing harmful intoxicants. An officer observed West “huffing” canned air and advised him to stand up as he was going to jail. West stood up and then grabbed the canned air from an end table and started to “huff” it again. The can was knocked away from West and he was placed on the floor and a Taser had to be used to get him handcuffed. West was taken to jail.

* On June 19, Martha Wallis of 230 Alta St. reported someone was banging on her door. No one was found.

* On June 19, officers checked a report of an intoxicated female in the 200 block of Greene Street walking toward the Ohio River. The female could not be located.

* On June 19, officers checked a report of a man screaming outside the residence of 931 Fifth St. The man was taken to Belpre in a cab.

* On June 19, officers checked on a disturbance at 144 Acme St.

* On June 19, officers checked on a report of a possible gunshot in the 400 block of Fourth Street. Nothing was found.

* On June 19, officers checked on a disturbance at 209 Virginia St. A female was advised to stay in her home.

* On June 20, Terrence Marshall Morris Jr., 20, 116 Sylvan Way, was arrested for OVI at Third and Washington streets. Morris tested .192 percent blood-alcohol concentration.

* On June 20, officers checked on a report of a fight at 220 Greene St. Found to be an argument only.

* On June 20, officers checked on a man passed out in the street in the 500 block of Fifth Street. A family member took the man in their house for safekeeping.

* On June 20, officers checked on a disturbance at 912 Garfield St.

* On June 20, an officer was dispatched to 15 Acme St. for a dog in a vehicle with the windows barely down. The vehicle was gone on the officer’s arrival.

* On June 20, Craig Nichols of 325 S. Seventh St. reported telephone harassment. An officer advised the caller to stop calling Nichols.

* On June 21, Vickie Marie Thompson, 32, address unknown, was arrested in the 200 block of Gilman Avenue for criminal trespass and two counts of theft. Thompson had allegedly stolen solar lights and flowers from 214 Maple St. and 220 Maple St.

* On June 21, Casey Lynn Francis, 23, of 406 Harmar St., was cited at 110 S. Seventh St., for possession of marijuana. Francis was released at the scene.

* On June 21, George Hausser of 415 Fourth St. reported a breaking and entering of his garage that happened since June 18. Taken were a men’s 21-speed mountain bike, a five-speed men’s bicycle and a Homelite 12-inch chain saw. No damage was reported to the garage and there are no suspects.

* On June 21, Chelsea Hayes of 715 Cisler Drive reported someone broke out a window in her Chevrolet Blazer.

* On June 21, Herbert Lawell of 140 Clinton St. reported receiving harassing phone calls.

* On June 21, an employee of the Tiger Stop, 1101 Gilman St., reported a drive off of $41.35 of gasoline.

* On June 21, Gary McFadden of 210 S. Fifth St. reported a theft of $28 and a Mongoose bicycle.

* On June 21, an odor of marijuana was reported from 736 Greene St., Apartment 2. An officer checked and no smell was detected.

* On June 21, Robert Watson of 900 Fourth St. reported a 7-year-old boy damaged an air conditioner.

* On June 21, officers checked on a disturbance at 216 Fay Ave. The cause of the disturbance was gone upon arrival of officers.

MARIETTA – The Marietta Police Department released the following reports on June 17-19:

* On June 16, Eric Christopher Edgar, 30, of 732 Second St., was cited at Fourth and Washington streets for possession of drug paraphernalia. After a Police K-9 indicated for the presence of drugs in Edgar’s vehicle, a glass marijuana pipe was found in his center console. Edgar was cited and released.

* On June 16, an employee of Wal-Mart reported a theft of an 18 foot swimming pool, a carpet cleaner, and an automotive battery which happened on June 15. The value of the items stolen is $786.97 and the case is still under investigation.

* On June 16, an employee of Wal-Mart reported that an adult male tried to shoplift a Snapper lawn mower and a Snapper weed trimmer valued at $437. The case is under investigation.

* On June 16, Kimberly Ann Cornute, 36, of 207 Wooster St., was arrested at Giant Eagle, 128 Frontier Shopping Center, for theft. Cornute stole sleeping medicine and Hot Stuff Canadian whiskey valued at $14.98. Cornute was taken to headquarters and later released on bond.

* On June 16, an officer responded to 105 Gilman Ave. in reference to a dispute over a snapping turtle.

* On June 16, Joshua Atkinson, of 723 Sixth St., reported someone overnight had sliced the soft top of his Jeep and stole his stereo equipment.

* On June 16, Ally Reyes, of 725 Seventh St., reported that someone had stolen her CD player from her unlocked Dodge van.

* On June 16, Jessica Slonaker, of 411 Harmar St., reported a burglary of her home within the last few hours. Slonaker advised that entry was gained through a rear window and that money was taken.

* On June 16, officers investigated an argument and fight between two men in the 100 block of Putnam Street. The investigation continues.

* On June 16, an officer checked on and located a man with no shirt, drunk, and carrying a bottle of Vodka at Pearl and Harmar streets.

* Officers arrested Billy L Ertz, 44, homeless, at the Guernsey County Law Enforcement Center on four Marietta Municipal Court warrants for two charges of disorderly conduct by intoxication, parking, and failure to appear. Ertz was taken to jail.

* Emily Allen, 201 Oakwood Ave., reported a theft of items from her 2012 Ford Fusion overnight. Taken were a wallet, earbuds and a duffle bag.

* Sarah Norton, 214 Chestnut St., reported a theft of an I-phone 5 car charger from her vehicle sometime overnight.

* Kevin Welch reported the theft of two checks from his checkbook. Welch advised someone had filled out and cashed the checks for $250.

* Officers checked a report of a black male waving a handgun around at Jackson Park. The man was gone on officers’ arrival.

* Officers checked a report of a disturbance at 220 Greene St. Nothing was found.

* Chris Miller of 203 1/2 Colegate Drive reported a theft of a bag containing softball equipment, an angle grinder, and a reciprocating saw from his Jeep Patriot.

* Donna Pugh, 620 Eighth St. reported a possible theft of prescription medicine from her home.

* Officers checked on a report of prowlers at 325 E. Spring St. Nothing was found.

* On June 18, officers checked the 100 block of Theis Avenue for a report of people screaming in the roadway. Nothing was found.

* On June 18, Timothy Ohlen Striblin, 59 of 311 Maple St., was arrested at his home for domestic violence and was taken to jail.

* On June 18, Patricia Hummel of 833 Second St., reported a temporary protection order violation by a subject known to her turning off her gas.

* On June 18, Donna Pugh of 620 Eighth St. called wanting her niece who was passed out on her couch removed. Cortney Dawn Pugh, 22, and homeless, was arrested for possession of drugs. Cortney Pugh was taken to headquarters and later released on bond.

* On June 18, officers checked on a disturbance at 433 Second St.

MARIETTA – The Marietta Police Department released the following reports on June 12, 15 and 16:

* On June 11, Cody Isner of Putnam Street advised a man stole his BMX bicycle at the Historic Harmar Bridge and rode it away.

* On June 11, a driver of the Ohio Valley Cab Co. reported he was having trouble with a fare at 836 Pike St.

* On June 11, an employee of the Michael Bradley Co., 414 Greene St., reported the theft and forgery of a company check.

* On June 11, officers checked a report of a suspicious or suicidal male at the Marietta Memorial Hospital emergency room who had a gun in his vehicle.

* On June 11, Timmy Lynn Ertz, 42 of the last known address of 802 Front St., was arrested at 922 Front St. for disorderly conduct by intoxication and was taken to jail.

* On June 12, Timmy Lynn Ertz, 42, homeless, was arrested in the 900 block Front Street for disorderly conduct by intoxication and was taken to jail.

* On June 12, Any Michelle Carver, 37, of 110 Ohio Blvd., was arrested at Wal-Mart for theft clothing valued at $259.18. Carver was taken to headquarters and later released on a PR bond.

* On June 12, Yvonne Brandt reported a domestic violence assault had happened on June 10 at an unknown location but refused to have an investigation done.

* On June 12, officers responded to a domestic dispute at 512 Aurora St. The parties had separated and refused investigation.

* On June 13, officers checked on a report of a fight at 217 Greene St. but found no fight on arrival.

* On June 13, officers checked on a report of a fight at 112 Front St., but found no fight on arrival.

* On June 13, an officer checked on a disturbance at Marietta Memorial Hospital. Yvonne Brandt was advised to stay inside the hospital.

* On June 13, officers checked on a disturbance at 122 Harmar St. Vickie Thompson left on request.

* On June 13, officers checked at 217 Greene St. for a possible disturbance.

* On June 13, officers checked with a female at 1208 Colonial Drive about a disturbance.

* On June 14, Wesley Lee Casto, 22 833 Second St., was arrested at that location for domestic violence against his live in girlfriend and was taken to jail.

* On June 14, Devin Lewis Lindsey, 20 of 408 Marion St., was arrested at headquarters for an assault that happened at The Marietta Aquatic Center on June 12. During the assault, Lindsey struck a 12-year-old male on the side of the head with an open hand. Lindsey denied being at the Aquatic Center on the day of the assault. Lindsey was also arrested on a municipal court warrant for receiving stolen property and was taken to jail.

* On June 14, officers checked for women screaming in the 700 block of Glendale Road, but found no one.

* On June 14, officers checked on a disturbance at 110 S Seventh St.. The involved subjects were gone on arrival.

* On June 15, officers checked on a possible disturbance at 736 Greene St., which turned out to be a man arguing with his brother on the telephone.

* On June 15, Angelo J. Dilo, 39 of 431 Edgewater Beach Blvd., Thornville, Ohio, was arrested on two Marietta Municipal Court warrants for assault and abduction. Dilo was taken to jail.

* On June 16, John Kendle, of Virginia Street, reported damage to his house at 1504 Colegate Drive. A basement window was broken with a piece of wood and a basement door was found standing open. Nothing was found to be missing.

MARIETTA – The Marietta Police Department released the following reports on June 11.

* On June 10, Michael Miller of 203 1/2 Colegate Drive reported his motorcycle had been stolen sometime since June 8 from the rear of his residence. The bike, an orange QLink XF200, is valued at $1,200. The motorcycle was recovered later in the day in the 200 block of Oakwood Avenue.

* On June 10, an officer checked on the condition of two unattended dogs in vehicles at Goodwill and Wal-Mart. Both dogs were found to be OK.

* On June 10, an officer checked on a report of an unruly juvenile at 288 Ridgewood Court Apartments. The child was calmed down and no further action was necessary.

* On June 10, an officer spoke with a Greene Street resident who advised his neighbor had been irritating him.

* On June 10, officers responded to a disturbance at 210 W. Spring St. This incident was found to be verbal and the parties went their separate ways.

MARIETTA – The Marietta Police Department released the following reports on June 9 and 10.

* On June 8, an officer checked on a tree limb that fell on a 2015 Lexus that was parked in the 600 block of Washington Street. The limb caused minor damage to the roof of the vehicle.

* On June 8, Richard Stutler of 710 Front St. reported that his Grill Master gas grill had been stolen over the last three to four days.

* On June 8, an officer investigated a report of an unruly juvenile at 116 Walker St.

* On June 8, an officer spoke with a female at headquarters in reference a possible violation of her visitation rights. The matter was found to be civil.

* On June 8, the resident at 726 Second St. reported that someone rang her doorbell and then ran away.

* On June 9, an employee of Wal-Mart reported that a man had stolen one of their electric scooters and was riding it on Ohio 7 toward Reno. The man and the scooter were located by the Washington County Sheriff’s Office near Browns Road in Reno. Officers identified the man as Aaron Matthew Brown, 34, of 101 Randolph Road, and found that he had a bottle of rum in his possession. After viewing video from Wal-Mart, it was found that Brown entered the store, removed his shorts and flip flops in the clothing section and put on a new pair of cargo shorts and black tennis shoes. Brown’s old clothes were left in a pile on the floor. Brown then stole a bottle of Malibu Rum and placed it down the front of his shorts. Brown then proceeded to the front of the store, got on an electric scooter, and made his getaway. The total of the items stolen was $239.81 and Brown will be charged with theft for his actions.

* On June 9, at about 10:15 p.m., a 15-year-old female who lives in the 400 block of Front Street reported that while she was walking in the 400 block of Front Street, a man ran up to her, grabbed her hand, and asked to walk with her. When the juvenile told the man no, he told her to come with him. The juvenile then left the area and the man again approached her on the west end of the train bridge. The man again approached the juvenile while on the bike path and left when the juvenile’s friend told the man to leave them alone. The man is described as a white male, bald with hair on the sides of his head, in his forties, and having crooked teeth. The man also had a staggered walk and was driving a newer white car. If anyone has information as to who this man might be, contact the Marietta Police Department at 740-373-4141 and reference case number 15-007508.

* On June 5, officers checked on a possible drunken driver in the 700 block of Glendale Road. The vehicle was found parked in the Frontier Shopping Center with no one around.

* On June 5, officers checked on a report of intoxicated subjects at 729 Glendale Road. Two individuals were checked and found to not be drunk.

* On June 5, an officer checked a report of a domestic dispute in a green Saturn at Pike and Acme streets. The vehicle was gone from the area on the officer’s arrival.

* On June 5, an officer checked on a dispute at 817 Fifth St. The involved parties went their separate ways.

* On June 6, officers investigated a stabbing in the 300 block of Vernon Street.

* On June 6, an officer checked on a report of a snake in a bush at 120 N. Third St. The snake was captured and removed.

* On June 6, officers checked on a report of Yvonne Brandt refusing to leave 212 Maple St. She was gone on officers’ arrival.

* On June 6, Justin E. Wolfe, 22, of 210 1/2 E Montgomery St. was arrested in the 200 block of Ohio Street on two municipal court warrants for assault and driving under suspension and was taken to jail.

* On June 6, officers checked on a report of two women fighting at 1324 Colonial Drive. The incident was found to be a verbal argument only.

* On June 6, an officer checked on a suspicious person at 115 Academy Drive that turned out to be the cleaning man.

* On June 6, an officer checked on a loud music complaint at Putnam Place Apartments. All was quiet on arrival.

* On June 6, officers checked on a report of gunshots in the area of 404 Fort Harmar Drive. Nothing was found.

* On June 6, officers checked on a fight at Gator’s Pub, 109 Second St. Two individuals were barred from the premises.

* On June 6, an officer checked on a loud music complaint in the 100 block of Ward Street. All was quiet on arrival.

* On June 6, an officer checked on a possible theft of cash from 101 Gilman Ave. The victim was heavily intoxicated.

* On June 6, an officer investigated a shoplifting at Wal-Mart.

* On June 7, an officer checked on a report of a cell phone being stolen from AT&T, 22 Acme St.

* On June 7, officers investigated the death of a 5-month-old male child at 640 Pearl St. extension. The investigation is continuing.

* On June 7, officers checked on an argument at 112 Front St. The involved individuals left the bar.

* On June 7, officers checked on a report of a fight at 217 Greene St. Several individuals left the area upon officers’ arrival.

* On June 7, Bonnie McCune, of 111 W Montgomery St., reported the theft of a 13-inch Emerson television.

* On June 7, officers investigated a possible domestic violence complaint between a mother and daughter at 500 Seventh St. Officers determined no crime had occurred.

* On June 7, officers responded to 229 Seventh St. in reference to a man showing up and causing problems. The man had left on officers’ arrival.

* On June 7, officers checked on a suspicious subject in the 900 block of Front Street. It was found that the man was trying to wake his friend to get his phone charger.

* On June 4, officers checked on a report of a man down on the ground at 301 Greene St. The man was OK and able to walk away.

* On June 4, an officer checked on a report of a man down on the ground at 401 Greene St. The man was gone on the officer’s arrival.

* On June 4, two 911 hang up calls were received from 731 Greene St. It was discovered that an argument was underway and one party had left for the evening.

* On June 4, an officer checked on a report of a dog in a car with the windows rolled up at 729 Glendale Road. The car was found to be running and the dog was fine.

* On June 4, an employee of Computer Solutions, 311 Second St., reported someone had broken a window beside a door handle. No entry was made into the business.

* On June 4, Patsy Cox of 614 Tupper St. reported a theft.

* On June 4, officers checked on a report of a man yelling at a woman at 201 Ohio St.

* On June 4, an officer checked on a report of people smoking marijuana at 901 Cisler Lane. Nothing was found by the responding officer.

MARIETTA – The Marietta Police Department released the following report on June 4:

* On June 2, Derrick N. Manson-Ogle, 27, of 5845 Salem Bend Drive, Trotwood, Ohio, was arrested at 452 Pike St. for criminal trespass. Ogle had been involved in an argument at Applebee’s with his girlfriend over a cell phone and had followed her into the women’s restroom to continue the argument. Ogle was taken to jail.

MARIETTA – The Marietta Police Department released the following reports on June 3:

* On June 2, Gary Lee Cable, 34, 485 Mount Tom Road, was arrested at 619 10th St., for obstructing official business and was taken to jail.

* Tina Marie Sims, 51, 11870 Veto Road, was arrested in East Muskingum Park for a theft after she stole a 25-ounce can of beer from Speedway, 433 Second St. Due to medical issues, Sims was taken to Marietta Memorial Hospital where she was released on a personal recognizance bond.

* On June 2, Keith Morey of 123 Gilman Ave., reported a burglary of his home overnight. Entry was gained through a window by cutting the screen. Stolen from the residence were a camcorder, a Sony Play Station 3 game system and video games.

* On June 2, Jennifer Kennedy of 304 Warren St. reported window screens on her back porch were cut overnight and her rear doors unlocked. Nothing appears to be taken at this time.

MARIETTA – The Marietta Police Department released the following reports on June 1:

* On May 29, Timmy Lyn Ertz, 42, 802 Front St., was arrested at 1699 Colegate Drive for disorderly conduct by intoxication and criminal damaging.

* On May 30, Dylan Michael Tennant, 18, of 407 Franklin St. was arrested at headquarters for a theft on May 29 at 407 Franklin St. Tennant was released on a personal recognizance bond.

* On May 31, Timmy Lyn Ertz, 42, homeless, was arrested in the 200 block of Muskingum Drive for disorderly conduct by intoxication. Ertz was taken to Marietta Memorial Hospital due to a high alcohol level and was later taken to jail.

* On May 31, Roger Adam Winebrenner, 34, of 403 Oakwood Ave., was arrested at his home for domestic violence.
