Wood Sheriff

PARKERSBURG – The Wood County Sheriff’s Office released the following reports May 25:

* On May 22, a citation was issued to Jean Schreiber-Arthur, 30, of Parkersburg, for overtaking and passing a school bus.

* On May 22, Timothy Alkire, 38, of Harrisville, turned himself in on five counts of unemployment fraud. Alkire was arraigned in Wood County Magistrate Court and released on bond.

* On May 22, Matthew Kyle Hall, 24, of Parkersburg, was arrested on a warrant for petit larceny. The warrant which originated out of a Vienna Police Department case was served after Hall appeared in magistrate court on other matters. Hall was arraigned and released on bond.

* On May 22, a deputy responding to a call of shoplifting at Kohl’s on Pike Street checked a vehicle matching the description of the suspect vehicle. The driver, Emily Knotts, 37, of Marietta, was identified as the driver and was arrested for second-offense driving under suspension and no insurance. Knotts was confined in the Wood County Holding Center pending arraignment.

* On May 22, a citation was issued to Erica Dawn Enoch, 34, of Vienna, for second-offense driving under suspension.

* On May 22, a citation was issued to Mary Louise Gordon, 60, of Parkersburg, for expired registration.

* On May 22, Andrew Helmick, of Mineral Wells, reported the theft of his Schwinn “Moab” Mountain Bike from the Wendy’s restaurant at West Virginia 14 and Interstate 77. The value of the bicycle was not disclosed.

* On May 22, Manly Clark Shaw, 58, of Spencer, W.Va., was cited for no insurance following a minor crash on W.Va. 14 near I-77.

* On May 23, Donald Carl Williams, 40, of Parkersburg, was arrested after deputies responded to a domestic disturbance call on South Third Street. Williams was charged with disorderly conduct and obstructing an officer. Williams was placed in the holding center pending arraignment.

* On May 23, Eric Christopher Edgar, 30, of Lower Salem, Ohio, was arrested following a traffic stop on I-77. Edgar was charged with driving under suspension and obstructing after he gave false identification information to the deputy. Edgar was confined in the holding center pending arraignment.

* On May 23, Tiffany Chanda Davis, 40, of Vienna, was arrested after deputies responded to a domestic disturbance call on Parkville Drive. Davis was charged with public intoxication and confined in the holding center pending arraignment.

* On May 23, Ryan Austin Hamrick, 18, of Parkersburg, was cited for possession of marijuana after deputies responded to a domestic disturbance call in Chateau Hills.

* On May 24, Aaron Michael Higgins, 32, of Parkersburg, was arrested on a felony indictment from Wood County Grand Jury. Higgins was confined in the holding center pending an appearance in Wood County Circuit Court.

* On May 24, a citation was issued to Arron Steven Roberts, 19, of Mineral Wells, for expired motor vehicle inspection sticker and no proof of insurance.

* On May 24, a citation was issued to Megan Leigh Jett, 37, of Marietta, for two seat belt violations.

* On May 24, a citation was issued to Roger Fontaine, 65, of Dutch Ridge Road, Parkersburg, for trespassing on a neighbor’s property. Records show Fontaine had been warned on at least one prior occasion to stay off of the property.

* On May 24, citations were issued to Brittany Leigh-Anne McIntyre, 21, of Marietta, and Brandi Rae Messick, 20, also of Marietta, following a traffic stop on I-77. Both women were cited for possession of less than 15 grams of marijuana.

PARKERSBURG – The Wood County Sheriff’s Office released the following reports on May 20.

* On May 18, a citation was issued to Codey Alvin Leonard, 20, of Leonard Drive, Williamstown for expired motor vehicle inspection.

* On May 18, a deputy responded to Oak Grove Road in reference to an unwanted person at the residence. Terry Ray Goodwin, 66, of Oak Grove Road, Walker, was arrested for disorderly conduct.

* On May 18, a citation was issued to Justin Michael Kiser, 41, of Old St. Marys Pike for speeding 54 in a 45 mph zone and no insurance.

* On May 18, a citation was issued to Kaisie Ereka Carpenter, 22, of Marie Lane, Washington, W.Va., for seatbelt violation.

* On May 18, a citation was issued to Rodney Blaine Deem, 58, of Little Island Run, Elizabeth, for seatbelt violation.

* On May 18, a citation was issued to Zachary Scott Lowe, 27, of Victoria Avenue, Williamstown, for expired motor vehicle inspection.

* On May 18, a citation was issued to Billie Kin Harmon, 43, of Core Road, for seatbelt violation and no proof of insurance.

* On May 18, deputies responded to Elizabeth Pike in reference to a warrant service. Galen Arthur Glotfelty, 40, of Elizabeth Pike was arrested for violation of domestic violence protective order.

* On May 18, a citation was issued to Amanda Marie Gorrell, 29, of Lost Pavement Road, for seatbelt violation.

* On May 18, a citation was issued to Brant D. Burnfield, 42, of Burnfield Road, Vincent, for seatbelt violation.

* On May 18, a citation was issued to Brad N. Smith, 42, of Hadley Lane, Marietta, for seatbelt violation and no proof of insurance.

* On May 18, a citation was issued to Michael Lee Britton, 39, of West Virginia Avenue for expired motor vehicle inspection.

* On May 18, a citation was issued to Janet Maxine Dye, 57, of Caroline Avenue, Williamstown, for seatbelt violation.

* On May 18, a citation was issued to Joshua Dale Wile, 34, of Waverly Acres, for seatbelt violation. The front seat passenger was not wearing a seatbelt.

* On May 18, a traffic stop was conducted for a seatbelt violation on U.S. 50. The driver was found to have a suspended license. While speaking with the driver, the deputy detected the strong odor of an alcoholic beverage coming from the vehicle. The driver, Adam Berry Parker, 34, of Elma Drive, Williamstown, was taken into custody on charges of aggravated driving under the influence, driving on suspended license and no seatbelt.

* On May 18, a citation was issued to Rosann Mercer Peters, 60, of West Fourth Street, Williamstown, for seatbelt violation.

* On May 18, a citation was issued to Cassandra Kay Simmons, 46, of Park Avenue, Williamstown, for no seatbelt and no proof of insurance.

* On May 18, a citation was issued to Felicia Dawn Smith, 27, of Gale Avenue for no child restraint.

* On May 19, a traffic stop was conducted on a vehicle for an equipment violation. The driver was found to have an active warrant on file. Dakota David Ryan Mackey, 21, of Neal Street was taken into custody on warrant for violation of protective order.

* On May 19, a citation was issued to Stacy Lynn Nuzum, 29, of Wadesville Road for cell phone use.

* On May 19, a citation was issued to Irene Eunice Sink, 56, of 29th St., Vienna, for driving while using an electronic communication device.

* On May 19, a citation was issued to Wesley D. Bunner, 24, of Maple Lane, Belpre, for a seatbelt violation.

* On May 19, a citation was issued to Adrianne Marie Caplinger, 24, of Ninth Avenue, Vienna, for a seatbelt violation.

* On May 19, a citation was issued to William Zachary Bigwood, 28, of 34th Street, Vienna, for expired registration.

* On May 19, a citation was issued to Melissa Rae Malone, 36, of Hotel Lane, Palestine, for no proof of insurance.

* On May 19, a citation was issued to Joshua Daniel Trembly, 18, of Heritage Drive, Parkersburg, for expired registration and no proof of insurance.

* On May 19, a citation was issued to Ashley Renay Gibson, 24, of Varner Road, Walker, for expired motor vehicle inspection.

* On May 20, a deputy conducted a traffic stop on Seventh Street. A license check showed the driver to be suspended and two warrants were found on the driver. Nichole Danielle Kelley, 23, Aqua Circle, was arrested on charges of driving on suspended license and warrants were served for no operator’s second-offense and improper registration. Kelley was arraigned in magistrate court and released on a $1,500 personal recognizance bond.

* On May 20, a deputy responded to the magistrate court for a subject in the courtroom with an active capias for his arrest. Ira Heyward Jr., 54, of 40th Street, Vienna, was arraigned in magistrate court and posted a $12,000 bond.

* On May 20, a citation was issued to Steven Alexander Riggins, 36, of Middleton Road, Fairmont, for second-offense driving on suspended license.

* On May 20, a deputy responded to the Justice Center for a warrant service. Deshawn Elizabeth Hatcher, 26, of East Maple Street, Davisville, turned herself in on four felony warrants. She was arraigned in magistrate court, then confined pending $8,000 bond.

* On May 21, a deputy checked a vehicle in the parking lot at Fort Boreman Park after park hours. Randall Clifford Short III, 24, of Chateau Hills, was taken into custody on charges of possession of a controlled substance and a capias for failure to appear. He was taken to the holding center pending arraignment.

PARKERSBURG – The Wood County Sheriff’s Office released the following reports on May 18.

* On May 14, a citation was issued to Steven E. Cantwell, 18, of Lee Court, Walker, for no helmet and no insurance.

* On May 14, a citation was issued to Ray Kelly Casto Jr., 50, of Fort Boreman Avenue for driving on suspended license and improper stopping within 30 feet of a stop sign.

* On May 14, a citation was issued to Madison Brooke McDowell, 18, of Pleasant Hill Road for speeding 54 in a 45 mph zone.

* On May 15, a deputy responded to Woodyard Creek Road in reference to a breaking and entering that had occurred. Greg McCullough advised that someone had made entry into his unattached garage and removed several items. The items taken include a gas powered Echo leaf blower, an aluminum level and a red fiberglass handled hammer. While the deputy was leaving, traveling on Woodyard Creek Road, he observed a red handled hammer and a glove lying along the roadway. Deputy returned and spoke with McCullough who identified the hammer as the one taken from his garage. The deputy took the items and placed them in evidence.

* On May 15, a citation was issued to Charity Velma Poske, 41, of Wood Circle for speeding in Kanawha School zone, 45 in a 15 mph zone.

* On May 15, a citation was issued to Earl F. Waggy Jr., 31, of Timerman Road NW, Malta, W.Va., for speeding in Kanawha School Zone 29 in a 15 mph zone.

* On May 15, deputies responded to Lubeck Road in reference to a warrant service. Christopher Lee Lutz, 32, of Blennerhassett Heights was taken into custody on a parole violation.

* On May 15, a citation was issued to Emily Dalton Young, 26, of Grand Central Avenue, Ripley, for expired registration and prohibited turn.

* On May 15, a citation was issued to Manna L. Williamson, 53, of Wildlife Hill Lane, Walker, for expired registration and no proof of insurance.

* On May 16, a deputy conducted a traffic stop. The female driver was agitated and cursing. The driver exited the vehicle, slammed her door and walked away from the deputy. The driver refused to stop, continued being belligerent and uncooperative then began struggling as deputy was handcuffing her. Adrienna Carol Gates, 54, of Broadway Avenue was taken into custody for driving on suspended license third offense and obstructing.

* On May 16, a citation was issued to Dora Ann Carr, 71, of Neal Street for failure to obey traffic control signal.

* On May 16, a citation was issued to Thomas Sherman Racer, 28, of 23rd Street, Vienna, for expired registration.

* On May 16, a deputy was dispatched to U.S. 50 to a vehicle in the median. The driver advised that he was traveling west from U.S. 50 when he went off the left side of the roadway and struck the concrete median barrier. Joshua Lee Bayne, 30, of DuPont Road was taken into custody on charges of driving under the influence second offense, DUI with a minor, and driving on suspended license.

* On May 16, deputies responded to Pettyville Road in reference to a single-vehicle crash. The vehicle was westbound on Pettyville Road when it crossed the eastbound lane and struck the embankment. The vehicle then rolled onto its passenger side. The driver, Zacharia Shane Bock, 19, of Ball School Road was taken into custody for DUI and failure to maintain control. A citation was issued to a 16-year-old female passenger, of Awesome Valley Drive, Elizabeth, for underage consumption. Passenger Darin Matthew Johnson, 19, of Pond Creek Road was taken into custody for underage consumption and obstructing an officer.

* On May 17, a deputy was stopped in traffic at a red light at the intersection of Fourth and Ann streets and observed a vehicle proceeded through the intersection against the light. A traffic stop was conducted and the driver advised that he didn’t see anyone coming so he went. Citation issued to Devin L. Cumpston, 28, of Locust Street, Belpre, for driving on suspended license and red light violation.

* On May 17, a deputy responded to a crash in the area of East Seventh Street. The deputy was advised that one vehicle fled the area, last seen heading toward the Red Roof Inn. Chad True stated he was driving on Seventh Street when he slowed down to turn onto Watson Road. At that time, a silver SUV struck the rear of his vehicle then fled the scene. The deputy located the SUV in the Red Roof Inn parking lot. The driver advised he had loaned his friend the vehicle at the time of the crash; however, he was unable to provide a friend’s name. A citation was issued to Corey Winston Updike, 22, of Forest Hills Drive, Vienna, for leaving the scene of an accident.

* On May 17, deputies were dispatched to the area of Gihon Road in reference to a complaint of a disorderly female. Deputies were also notified that the caller observed smoke from a mattress which was being burned. Lubeck Volunteer Fire Department responded to assist. Deputies observed two locations in the backyard which had been used as burn sites. One site was large and was still smoldering. A citation was issued to Rachael Erin Zimmerman, 41, of Gihon Road for prohibited burning and open burning of refuse.

* On May 17, a citation was issued to Lori Ann Ashley, 38, of Alpine Street, Mineral Wells, for expired registration and speeding 61 in a 45 mph zone.

* On May 17, a citation was issued to Alice O. Bauerbach, 49, of Clark Road Cutler, Ohio, for improper registration and no insurance.

* On May 17, a traffic stop was conducted on Interstate 77 after a deputy observed a brake light not working properly. Upon contact with the driver, deputy observed a marijuana smoking bowl on the passenger side floorboard with marijuana inside. A citation was issued to Justin Wayne Knapp, 20, of Ohio 676, Marietta, for possession of marijuana.

* On May 17, a citation was issued to Christine T. Kesterson, 30, of South Maple Drive, Mineral Wells, for seatbelt violation.

PARKERSBURG – The Wood County Sheriff’s Office released the following reports on May 14.

* On May 12, Cheryl D. Delancey, 44, of Pond Creek Road, turned herself in on active warrants. She was arraigned before a magistrate and released on a $2,000 bond.

* On May 12, a citation was issued to Ronald G. Purves, 69, of Tower Road, Little Hocking, for failure to obey a traffic signal.

* On May 12, a deputy responded to the 7-Eleven on Harris Highway in reference to a shoplifter. The deputy made contact with the male subject walking on Lake Washington Road. The man told the deputy he hadn’t taken anything from the store. The store clerk advised a beef jerky stick and a sandwich were taken. The male stated that he may have taken the beef stick, however, he did not remember taking the sandwich. The store clerk stated the man had opened the sandwich inside and started eating it, then took the beef stick outside without paying for either one. A citation was issued to Mark Nicholas Mancini, 29, of Joyceville Trailer Park for shoplifting. The total value of the items taken was $7.48.

* On May 13, a deputy responded to South Pleasant Hill Road in reference to an unwanted subject. The deputy arrived and found the subject sitting on the front porch. The homeowner advised that he wanted the subject to leave. Mark Nicholas Mancini, 29, of Joyceville Trailer Park was arrested on active warrants issued through Parkersburg Police Department for shoplifting and trespassing. He was confined in the Wood County Holding Center pending arraignment.

* On May 13, a citation was issued to Camden Lee Anderson III, 23, of North Ridge Road, Sandyville, for speeding 92 in a 70 mph zone.

* On May 13, a citation was issued to Jeremy Daniel Sloan, 35, of Mineral Wells for failure to maintain control, no insurance and expired registration after Sloan was involved in an accident at Red Hill and Murphytown Road.

* On May 13, a deputy responded to the Wood County Magistrate Court in reference to a subject in the courtroom with an outstanding warrant. Craig Douglas McKay Cross, 36, of Post Mill Way was served the warrant, processed, then arraigned before a magistrate where he posted a $500 bond and was released.

* On May 13, Tylon Cashington Carr, 30, of 31st Street, was taken into custody at the Wood County Magistrate Court on an outstanding warrant. He was processed, arraigned and released after posting a $600 bond.

* On May 13, a traffic stop was conducted on a vehicle in the parking lot of the Park and Ride at Core Road and Altmann Avenue. The driver provided a W.Va. non-driver ID card and advised that his license was suspended. A computer check verified his license to be suspended. Dale Martin Putnam, 53, of South 3rd Street, was taken into custody on charges of driving on suspended license second offense. Putnam was processed, arraigned before a magistrate and released on a $1,500 bond.

* On May 13, a citation was issued to Werner Clifford Knight, 46, of West 8th Street, Williamstown for speeding 87 in a 65 mph zone.

* On May 13, a citation was issued to Gary Alan Naylor, 27, of South Park Villa for stop sign and muffler violations.

* On May 13, a citation was issued to Joshua Edward Sprouse, 34, of Jackson Avenue for driving left of center.

* On May 13, a citation was issued to Cody Paul Britton, 22, of Second Street, Williamstown, for driving left of center.

* On May 13, a citation was issued to Stacey D. Cathers, 42, of Valley Mills Circle for expired registration.

* On May 13, a citation was issued to David Hilyand Templer, 41, of Hamilton Street for expired registration.

* On May 13, a citation was issued to Jessica N. Martinelli, 27, of 11th Avenue for driving on suspended license and speeding 64 in a 45 mph zone.

* On May 13, Angela Dawn Duelley, 26, of Dillaway Street was taken into custody at the Wood County Magistrate Court on an active warrant for petit larceny. Duelley was arraigned before a magistrate where she was released on a $1,000 bond.

* On May 13, a citation was issued to Tamra Lynn McCauley, 23, of Bogal Ridge Road, Mineral Wells, for seatbelt violation and no insurance.

* On May 13, a citation was issued to Deryk Wayne Magyar, 29, of Dempsie Avenue for driving on suspended license and seatbelt violation.

* On May 14, a citation was issued to Christopher G. Liebau, 38, of 30th Street, Vienna, for no insurance.

PARKERSBURG – The Wood County Sheriff’s Office released the following reports on May 12.

* On May 10, a deputy responded to the 7-Eleven on DuPont Road in reference to a shoplifting incident. The complainant from the store advised that a female came into the store and stole a couple of items. The deputy reviewed the security footage and observed the female taking items off the shelf. The deputy went to Meadowbrook Acres to make contact with the female and advised that she was on security video removing items from the store. Dedra Parsons, 42, removed two “5 hour energy” drinks from her purse and was transported back to the 7-Eleven. Parsons was issued a citation for shoplifting. The items taken were valued at $6.58. Parsons was advised if she came back into the store, she would be arrested for trespassing.

* On May 11, a citation was issued to Nicholas Tyler Townsend, 24, of Twin Lakes Drive, Mineral Wells, for no motor vehicle inspection.

* On May 11, a citation was issued to Jesse S. Smith, 40, of Ryanwood Village for expired motor vehicle inspection.

PARKERSBURG – The Wood County Sheriff’s Office released the following reports May 11:

* On May 8, a citation was issued to Cheryl Etta Schanazer, 60, of Market Street, Parkersburg, for expired motor vehicle inspection.

* On May 8, deputies responded to Willowbrook Drive in reference to a domestic disturbance. Deputies made contact with the female who told deputies she and the male subject had been involved in an argument when he picked up a glass jar and hit her in the head with it. Deputies observed cuts to her hands and head near her left ear. Jason Maurice Tefft, 38, of Willowbrook Drive, Parkersburg, was taken into custody on a charge of domestic battery.

* On May 9, a deputy responded to KC Car Wash on Pike Street in reference to a larceny in progress. While the deputy was enroute, dispatch advised the suspect vehicle left the area. The complainant, Jerry Cantwell, reported that he heard the audible alarm at the Car Wash and went to investigate. Cantwell observed a vehicle with the lights turned off pull onto Pike Street. He then noticed the machines had been damaged. The suspect(s) were unable to gain access to the machines. The incident remains under investigation.

* On May 9, a citation was issued to Stacey Ann Flowers, 30, of Clayton Drive, Ripley, for driving under suspension.

* On May 9, deputies responded to Willowbrook Drive and arrested Katy Jean Patton, 31, on an active capias. Patton was taken to the Wood County Holding Center pending her arraignment.

* On May 9, a traffic stop was conducted on a vehicle at Fifth and Juliana streets. The driver was found to have a suspended license. Rebecca Dawn Allen, 39, of Brooklyn Drive, Parkersburg, was taken into custody on a charge of driving under suspension. Allen was taken to the Holding Center pending arraignment.

* On May 9, deputies responded to the Marathon Gas Station on Point Drive in reference to an intoxicated subject who was causing problems. Deputies located the male who appeared severely intoxicated. The male struggled to speak and was unable to stand upright without swaying and had to lean against a wall to keep from falling. Anthony Drake Flanagan, 29, of Dr. Judy Road, Parkersburg, was arrested on a charge of public intoxication. Flanagan was transported to the Holding Center where he was placed pending his arraignment.

* On May 10, deputies assisted detectives with a search warrant of two rooms at the Red Roof Inn on Seventh Street in Parkersburg. Mark Aaron Stoke, 36, of Spring Street, Parkersburg, was arrested on a capias. Stacey Nichole McConaha, 38, of 37th Street, Parkersburg, was arrested on a capias and a warrant for shoplifting. Both were confined in the Holding Center after failing to post bond.

* On May 10, John Eugene Sams, 33, of South Third Street, Parkersburg, was arrested on a charge of intimidation of a witness.

* On May 10, a citation was issued to Matthew Payne Holstein, 20, of Parmetta Circle, Waverly, for seat belt violation and failure to change address within 10 days on registration.

* On May 11, a citation was issued to Clayton Arthur Fleak, 21, of Ranis Road, Belleville, for driving under suspension and no insurance.

PARKERSBURG – The Wood County Sheriff’s Office released the following reports on May 7.

* On May 6, a citation was issued to Isaah Michael Galloway, 27, of Timberline Apartments, Morgantown, for driving on a suspended license.

* On May 6, Ricky Gene Newell, 54, of Sixth Street, was taken into custody on an outstanding warrant for violation of protective order after a hearing in magistrate court. He was taken before a magistrate where he was reconfined in lieu of $2,000 bond and home confinement revocation.

* On May 6, a citation was issued to Shawn M. Martin, 28, of Kenlynn Drive, Elizabeth, for no seatbelt.

* On May 6, a citation was issued to John James Danielski, 64, of 28th Street, for no seatbelt.

* On May 6, a citation was issued to Donald R. Pfalzgraf, 61, of Wells Lock Road, Elizabeth, for no seatbelt and driving on suspended license.

* On May 6, a citation was issued to Jade Nicole Riel, 23, of South Maple Drive, Mineral Wells, for no seatbelt.

* On May 6, a citation was issued to Jason Andrew Lewis, 36, of Greenmont Hills Drive, Vienna, for using a cell phone while driving.

* On May 6, a citation was issued to Kyle Machenzie Chipps, 19, of Pennsylvania Avenue, for no insurance.

* On May 7, a missing person, Sheila Marie Davis of Williamstown, was found unharmed in New Matamoras, Ohio. Davis was reunited with her family, thanks to a Facebook follower who recognized her from the post on this page.

PARKERSBURG – The Wood County Sheriff’s Department released the following reports on May 4 and 5:

* On May 1, Ann E. Parrish, 21, of South West Anderson Street, Port Saint Lucie, Fla., turned herself in at the Wood County Sheriff’s Office on an outstanding warrant for fraudulent use of an access device. She was arraigned before a magistrate and released on a $5,000 bond.

* On May 1, a citation was issued to Helen Irene Forshey, 70, of Middle Hill Road, Waverly, for passing a school bus.

* On May 1, a citation was issued to John Charles Stout, 45, of Core Road for driving on a suspended license second offense.

* On May 1, Eric Bruce Bunting, 25, of Plum Street, turned himself in on an active warrant for failure to appear on a charge of shoplifting originating out of Vienna Police Department. He was arraigned before a magistrate and released on bond.

* On May 1, a citation was issued to Caleb Phereas Andrick, 25, of Bridgeport, W.Va., for speeding in the Mineral Wells school zone, 27 in a 15 mph zone.

* On May 2, deputies were dispatched to the area of Scarce Fat Road in reference to a suspicious vehicle and subjects walking around the area. A deputy observed a male subject flailing around and waving his arms. Then, the subject began staring at his hands. The deputy attempted to speak with the subject, whose uttered responses were unintelligible. As the deputy began to handcuff the subject he became combative and struggled. The subject had to be taken to the ground. Deputies were then advised of another subject passed out inside the vehicle. When the deputies awoke him, he became combative and was forcibly taken to the ground. Thaddeus Scott Piggott, 20, of Joy Street was taken to his residence and released on a citation for possession of a controlled substance and obstructing. Devin Alexander Gregory, 20, of Mitchell Lane was issued a citation for possession of controlled substance and obstructing and transported to Camden Clark Medical Center.

* On May 2, a traffic stop was conducted on a vehicle at Hill Street. The driver was found to be revoked. Ronald Edward Frye Jr., 41, of 21st Street, Vienna, was taken to the Wood County Holding Center for processing, then taken before a magistrate for arraignment where he posted a $3,000 bond.

* On May 2, deputies were made aware of a possible intoxicated person walking across the I-77 Bridge into West Virginia. Deputy responded to the area and made contact with the subject, who was observed near the right lane of the bridge, swaying into traffic. The subject smelled of an alcoholic beverage. Keith Allen Nibert, 52, of Fourth Street, Beverly, Ohio, was taken into custody on a charge of public intoxication and then transported to the Wood County Holding Center pending his arraignment.

* On May 2, a citation was issued to Timothy D. Bibbee, 39, of Westwood Way, for improper registration and no insurance.

* On May 2, a citation was issued to Jacob Michael Fordyce, 21, of Black Diamond Road, Mineral Wells, for expired motor vehicle inspection and expired registration.

* On May 2, a citation was issued to Levi Dalton Bryant, 19, of Hartley Run Road, LeRoy, W.Va., for expired MVI and no insurance.

* On May 3, deputies responded to the area of the Wood County Fairgrounds in reference to several underage individuals drinking alcohol by the pond. A citation was issued to Austin Tyler Izzo, 20, of 24th Avenue for public intoxication. Licensed drivers responded to take three subjects home.

* On May 4, deputies responded to the Red Roof Inn in reference to a strong armed robbery. Upon arrival the caller/victim advised he had been robbed by four male subjects, claiming they had taken his Apple Ipod and fled the area. Deputies spoke with a male witness who was present at the time of the alleged incident. The witness gave an entirely different account of the evening’s activities. Deputies spoke again with the alleged victim who stated he had lied about the incident in an attempt to cover up what actually occurred. Eric Anthony Jones, 25, of West Virginia Avenue was arrested on charges of false reporting of an emergency incident for fraudulent purposes and obstructing an officer.

* On May 4, a deputy responded to Meadowview Drive in reference to a destruction of property to a vehicle. Christi Wright reported that her son’s vehicle’s windshield had been damaged. The area of the impact looked as if it may have been caused by a rock or other unknown object. No known witness(es) or suspect(s).

* On May 4, a citation was issued to Cheryl Denise Delancy, 49, of Rector Road for no insurance.

* On May 4, deputies responded to Williamstown Pike in reference to threats. The complainant advised that her son had made threats and then went into the woods behind the residence. Deputies searched the area and located the male. The male was uncooperative and had to be forcibly restrained. Deputies found a glass smoking pipe with what appeared to be burnt marijuana inside in his possession. John Christopher Dale Cleland, 18, of Williamstown Pike, was taken into custody on charges of obstructing, possession of less than 15 grams of marijuana and possession-consumption of alcohol by person under 21. He was transported to the holding center pending arraignment.

* On May 4, a citation was issued to Katherine Louise Oplinger, 54, of Parkwood Drive for expired motor vehicle inspection.

* On May 4, a citation was issued to Cari Louise Johnson, 34, of Sixth Avenue for driving on suspended license.

Wood Sheriff

PARKERSBURG – The Wood County Sheriff’s Department released the following reports on May 4:

* On April 30, deputies arrested Everett Christopher Freeland, 30, of 14th Street on a warrant for shoplifting issued through Vienna Police Department. He was taken before magistrate court and released on a personal recognizance bond.

* On April 30, a deputy stopped a vehicle on Old St. Marys Pike. Shanah Jade Burks, 29, of Old St. Marys Pike was arrested on charges of driving on suspended license third offense and the warrant for driving on suspended license third offense. She was taken before magistrate court where she was released after posting a $2,700 surety bond.

* On April 30, a citation was issued to Tracy Lynn Lott, 43, Petroleum, for speeding in the Kanawha School zone, 44 in a 15 mph zone, and no proof of insurance.

* On April 30, a citation was issued to Craig Dalton Anderson, 20, of Brandi Drive, Mineral Wells, for speeding in the Kanawha School zone, 31 in a 15 mph zone, and no proof of insurance.

* On April 30, a deputy responded to Pike Street at Pettyville Gardens for damaged mailboxes. The deputy spoke with the apartment manager and observed a row of three large mailboxes, two of which had been severely damaged and to be consistent with a larger vehicle such as a truck striking them.

* On April 30, a deputy stopped a vehicle on Rosemar Road and found the driver to have a suspended license. Steven Christopher Satterfield, 42, of Orchard Avenue was taken into custody on a charge of driving on a suspended license. Satterfield was placed in the holding center pending arraignment.
