* On May 22, Stephen Brown, 30, Marietta, was cited for speeding, 52 mph in a 35 mph zone, on Waverly Road.

* On May 22, Tina M. Bartmess, 40, Vincent, was cited for speeding, 39 mph in a 25 mph zone, on Highland Avenue.

* On May 22, Tyler James Shockey, 21, Williamstown, was cited for expired motor vehicle inspection and no insurance on Highland Avenue.

* On May 23, Laci Nicole Stephens, 25, Washington, W.Va., was cited for public intoxication on Highland Avenue.

* On May 18, James J. West, 39, Williamstown, was cited for no seat belt on Highland Avenue.

* On May 18, Samantha Dawn Eddy, 34, Williamstown, was cited for no seat belt on Highland Avenue.

* On May 19, Dalton Alexander Carr, 20, Marietta, was cited for driving on a suspended license and no insurance on West Virginia 14.

* On May 19, Molley Katherine Sams, 20, Waverly, was cited for running a stop sign on Highland Avenue at the welcome center.

* On May 20, Justin S. Heightland, 26, Clarington, Ohio, was cited for use of electronic communication device while driving on Williams Avenue.

* On May 20, Christina Devona Short, 36, Ravenswood, was cited for speeding, 35 mph in a 25 zone on Henderson Avenue.

* On May 21, Mackenzie P. Peters, 24, Williamstown, was arrested on a charge of DUI following investigation of an auto accident on Highland Avenue near the Williamstown Bridge. The officer noticed signs of intoxication on Peters. Peters subsequently failed field sobriety tests and was arrested on charge of DUI. Peters was arraigned in magistrate court and confined to the regional jail in lieu of bail.

WILLIAMSTOWN – The Williamstown Police Department released the following reports on May 18.

* On May 15, Cody Alan Stockner, 19, Williamstown, was cited for speeding 72 mph in a 55 mph zone on W.Va. 14.

* On May 15, Cheryl Ann Rexroad, 53, Elizabeth, was cited for driving on a suspended license and no seat belt on Highland Avenue.

* On May 16th, Codi Andrew Norman, 27, Mineral Wells, was cited for a stop sign violation and no proof of insurance on Highland Avenue near Interstate 77.

* On May 16, James A. Francis, 37, Williamstown, was cited for no motor vehicle insurance on Highland Avenue.

WILLIAMSTOWN – The Williamstown Police Department released the following reports May 11:

* On May 9, Brent Edward Deeter, 36, Williamstown, was arrested on a fugitive from justice warrant on East Ninth Street by officers with the WPD in connection to tampering with evidence charges filed on Deeter in Washington County. Deeter was arraigned at Wood County Magistrate Court and held without bond pending an extradition hearing in Wood County Circuit Court.

* On May 9, Nathan Lee Sanders Jr., 46, Parkersburg, was cited for speeding, 40 mph in a 25 mph zone, on Highland Avenue.

* On May 9, Lorisa Lee Donahoe, 48, Huntington, was cited for speeding, 40 mph in a 25 mph zone, on Highland Avenue.

* On May 9, Andrea D. Schultheisz, 33, Lowell, was cited for no seat belt on Highland Avenue.

* On May 9, Logan M. Wade, 24, Williamstown, was cited for expired motor vehicle inspection (March 2014) on Highland Avenue.

* On May 10, Donald L. Givens Jr., 58, Marietta, was cited for passing on a double yellow line on Highland Avenue.

* On May 10, officers responded to a domestic dispute at a Crystal Avenue location in which two intoxicated parties had been involved in an argument. The male party agreed to leave the area and was transported to a Marietta hotel. No criminal charges are pending.

Williamstown Police

WILLIAMSTOWN – The Williamstown Police Department released the following reports on May 8.

* On May 7, Michael Alan Arnold, 29, Williamstown, was arrested as a fugitive from justice from Callaway County, Mo., on a warrant for an armed robbery/probation violation in that jurisdiction. Officers were dispatched to the Econolodge Inn and Suites, 1345 Highland Ave., to investigate a complaint of several items being stolen from a hotel room. The items reportedly stolen included medication, $247 and a ring. Arnold was one of the employees of the hotel that was questioned about the larceny. Upon questioning Arnold, a criminal history check was requested and it was discovered that Arnold was wanted with nationwide extradition. Arnold was arrested and transported to the Wood County Holding Center. Arnold was arraigned Friday morning at Magistrate Court where he was held without bond. An extradition hearing will be scheduled through Circuit Court. The theft of items from the hotel remains under investigation.

* On May 7, Zachary Reed Cox, 35, St. Marys, was cited for speed 49 in a 35 zone on West Third Street.

* On May 7, Adam Kory Loscar, 21, Belmont, was cited for no seat belt on Highland Avenue.

* On May 7, Kody Rhyne, 19, Waverly, was cited for no motor vehicle inspection on Highland Avenue.

* On May 7, Cheyenne Mantz, 34, Newport, was cited for no insurance on Highland Avenue.

WILLIAMSTOWN – The Williamstown Police Department released the following reports on May 7.

* On May 5, Janelle King, 33, of Williamstown, reported that while her vehicle was parked on Pribble Lane someone smashed the window to her 2013 Mercedes-Benz and stole her purse. The suspect used a credit card from the purse at two business in Parkersburg later that evening. The incident remains under investigation.

* On May 5, Valerie Kellar, 39, Williamstown, reported that while her vehicle was parked on Pribble Lane someone smashed the window to her 2006 Ford Explorer and stole her purse. The incident remains under investigation.

* On May 5, Shelene Paige Burton, 48, Williamstown, was cited for driving on a suspended license on Highland Avenue.

* On May 5, Aaron M. Harlow, 39, Wheelersburg, Ohio, was cited for speeding, 58 in a 45 zone on W.Va. 14.

* On May 6, Lindsay Barniak, 30, Parkersburg, was cited for expired registration, expired motor vehicle inspection, no insurance and expired operator’s license on Highland Avenue.

* On May 6, Nicholas Justin Adams, 25, Whipple, was cited for no motorcycle helmet, no motorcycle endorsement, no insurance and expired registration on West Third Street.

WILLIAMSTOWN – The Williamstown Police Department released the following reports May 4:

* On May 1, Andrew E. Bailey, 32, Marietta, was cited for driving on a suspended license, improper registration and no insurance on Highland Avenue.

* On May 1, Joseph Wesley Gump, 22, New Matamoras, was cited for no seat belt on West Virginia 14.

* On May 1, Samuel Ezra Murner Jr., 43, Parkersburg, was cited for expired registration on Highland Avenue.

* On May 1, Howard Franklin Santee, 47, Parkersburg, was cited for expired registration on Highland Avenue.

* On May 1, Barbara Sue Lockhart, 40, Parkersburg, was cited for expired motor vehicle inspection on Highland Avenue.

* On May 2, Andrew Patrick Keith, 28, Williamstown, was arrested on a warrant originating from the Wood County Sheriff’s Office charging him with destruction of property as a result of an incident in April 2015 in which Keith is accused of damaging a vehicle belonging to Kara Starcher of Parkersburg. Officers had responded to a reported fight call in the area of West Third Street and located a group of subjects arguing on the lot of the Gas N Goods. Upon checking local warrants Keith was found to be wanted on the warrant. Keith was placed in the holding center pending his arraignment in Wood County Magistrate Court.

* On May 2, Rex A. Mowery, 41, Marietta, was arrested on a warrant originating from the Parkersburg Police Department charging him with destruction of property as a result of an incident in Parkersburg in March 2015. Mowery is accused of using a club to knock several windows out of a vehicle owned by William Dawson of Parkersburg. Mowery was located on the Interstate 77 bridge between Williamstown and Marietta. Mowery was confined to the holding center pending his arraignment at magistrate court.

* On May 2, Jessie Nicole Pratt, 18, Rockport, was cited for speeding, 43 mph in a 25 mph zone, on Highland Avenue.

* On May 2, Gordon Woodford, 26, Marietta, was cited for speeding, 45 mph in a 35 mph zone, on W.Va. 14.

* On May 2, Lisa Lorraine Lacey, 44, Williamstown, was cited for improper registration and failure to change address on West Third Street.

* On May 2, Charles Robert Williams, 47, Williamstown, was cited for expired registration on West Third Street.

* On May 3, Gregory Lloyd Swisher, 45, Belpre, was arrested on a charge of entering without breaking after officers were called to a residence on West Fourth Street after Swisher entered the residence of his ex-wife without permission. The victim reportedly locked herself in a room and called for assistance. Officers arrived, located Swisher inside of the residence and arrested him. Swisher was arraigned at magistrate court and confined to the regional jail lieu of bail.

* On May 4, William Lewis Campbell, 26, Malta, Ohio, was cited for texting while driving on W.Va. 14.

* On May 4, Dorothy W. Leifheit, 37, Marietta, was cited for no proof of insurance on W.Va. 14.

* On April 29, Chancellor Michael Postlewaite, 22, Williamstown, was cited for no motor vehicle inspection on Highland Avenue.

* On April 29, Derek G. Capps, 28, Williamstown, was cited for expired MVI.

* On April 29, Gregory Scott Jarvis, 31, Vienna, was cited for use of an electronic communication device while driving and expired registration on W.Va. 14.
