PARKERSBURG — The following cases were handled in Wood County Magistrate Court on Feb. 24:

* Bridgette Lei Heuer, Po Box 1022, Elizabeth, had a preliminary hearing waived on a charge of an inmate in possession of weapon, drugs or dangerous materials. The case was sent to Wood County Circuit Court.

* Dale Ann Yoho, Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to possession of a controlled substance without a valid prescription, fined $176.48 and sentenced to 90 days in jail which was suspended and he was placed on one year of unsupervised probation with seven days credit for time served.

* Linda Grey Andrew, 3201 Happy Valley Lane, Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to driving on a suspended license for DUI, interference with officers (false information) and having expired motor vehicle registration, fined $694.44 and sentenced to 30 days with a credit of 20 days for time served. Charges of having an unsafe and improperly equipped vehicle and driving on a suspended license were dismissed, per a plea agreement.

* Cameron Blake Johnson, 1804 Seventh Ave., Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to first-offense shoplifting and fined $276.48. He was ordered to pay a $66.88 civil penalty to the Walmart store in Parkersburg.

* Matthew Nathaniel Hawk, Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to domestic battery, fined $176.48 and sentenced to 30 days in jail which was suspended and he was placed on one year of unsupervised probation.

* Mahala Layne Richards, 2303-172 Oak St., Parkersburg, had a preliminary hearing waived for a charge of unlawful use of an access device with intent to defraud. The case was sent to Wood County Circuit Court.

* Dale Ann Yoho, Parkersburg, pleaded no contest to second-offense shoplifting, was fined $276.48 and ordered to pay a $50 civil penalty to the Walmart store in Parkersburg.

* Christopher Watson Smith, 1324 Avery St., Parkersburg, had a preliminary hearing waived for charges of fleeing in a vehicle from law enforcement with reckless disregard, fleeing in a vehicle from law enforcement and fleeing from law enforcement in a vehicle. The case was sent to Wood County Circuit Court.

* Whitney Sue Nelson, 343 Hardy Heights Road, Washington, W.Va., pleaded no contest to a restriction on use by non-motorized traffic violation and fined $178.48.

* Dennis James Hicks, 766 Limestone Hill Road, Rockport, pleaded guilty to having no insurance and fined $376.48. A charge of having improper registration was dismissed, per a plea agreement.

* William Douglas Shaffer, 467 Gates Ridge Road, Rockport, pleaded guilty to fraudulent schemes, fined $276.48 and sentenced to 90 days in jail which was suspended and she was placed on one year of unsupervised probation.

* Lesley Ann Trippett, 487 Green Hill Road, Marietta, pleaded no contest to a charge of disorderly conduct and fined $276.48.

* Cowan Hart Pennington, 24 Thom St., Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to second-offense shoplifting and fined $276.48. He was ordered to pay a $276.06 civil penalty to the Walmart store in Vienna.

* Michael Corey Matheny, 600 Hawthorne St., Parkersburg, was arraigned on a charge of grand larceny and released on $2,500 bond.

* Brian Marcellus Leisure, P.O. Box 733, Elizabeth, was arraigned on a charge of possession of a controlled substance (meth) and released on $1,200 bond.

* Joshua W. Bonar, 809 Clement Ave., Belpre, was arraigned on two charges of truancy and released on $2,000 bond.

* Nathan C. Arrowood, Parkersburg, was arraigned on a charge of shoplifting and released on $1,000 bond.

* Johnathan David Duff, 1419 Strawberry Lane, St. Albans, W.Va., was arraigned on a charge of disorderly conduct and released on $100 bond.

* Sarah Ann Davis, 1326 Avery St., Parkersburg, was arraigned on a charge of possession of a controlled substance and released on $1,000 bond.

* Charuss Edward Drummond, Parkersburg, was arraigned on a charge of trespassing and released on $500 bond.

* James Michael Crumpler, 54701 Boston Road, Barnesville, Ohio, pleaded guilty to having no proof of insurance and fined $376.48. A charge of leaving the scene of an accident was dismissed.

* Clara Nichole Hodgson, 55 Center St., Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to speeding and fined $191.48

* Catherine Gertrude Lewis, 3610 North Cliffe Road, Cleveland, Ohio, pleaded guilty to speeding and fined $181.48.

* Richard P. Riley, $16 Broadway Ave. Apt C, Bridgeport, W.Va., pleaded guilty to having no seat belt and fined $25.

* Harley Danielle Dye, 2503 Beverly St. Apt. 12C Parkersburg, pleaded no contest to having defective equipment and fined $181.48.
