Wood Magistrate
PARKERSBURG — The following cases were handled in Wood County Magistrate Court on Feb. 18:
* Wayne Sherman Bair III, 467 Gates Ridge Road, Rockport, had a preliminary hearing waived on two counts of sex offender registration violation. The case was sent to Wood County Circuit Court.
* Bobby James Asbury, 613 Leafy Glen Court, Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to fraudulent schemes, fined $176.48 and sentenced to one year in jail which was suspended for two years of unsupervised probation.
* Terry Allen Riley, Parkersburg, had a charge of domestic battery dismissed without prejudice.
* Jonathan Wayne Batten, 1001 Hill Ave., Parkersburg, was found guilty of possession of a controlled substance without a valid prescription and fined $176.48 after an unsuccessful deferred sentence agreement.
* Sonya Jeanette Bailey, 328 Hebron Road, P.O. Box 594, St. Marys, had a preliminary hearing waived on a charge of embezzlement. The case was sent to Wood County Circuit Court.
* Justin Kyle Wendelken, 1800 1/2 Staunton Ave., Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to possession of a controlled substance without a valid prescription, fined $176.48 and sentenced to six months in jail which was suspended for one year of unsupervised probation with a credit of one day served. He had a charge of possession of a controlled substance without a valid prescription dismissed, per a plea agreement.
* Chanda Rae Lott, 2092 South Pleasant Hill Road, Belleville, pleaded guilty to second-offense shoplifting, fined $176.48 and sentenced to six months in jail and placed on one year of unsupervised probation. She was ordered to pay a $229.46 civil penalty to the Walmart store in Vienna. She also pleaded guilty to another charge of second-offense shoplifting, fined $176.48 and sentenced to six months in jail and placed on one year of unsupervised probation. She was ordered to pay a $823.68 civil penalty to the Walmart store in Vienna. The sentences will run concurrently.
* Jill Kristin Bolden, 53 McCommas Drive, Little Hocking, pleaded guilty to driving on a suspended license and fined $276.48. A charge of having expired registration was dismissed, per a plea agreement. She also pleaded guilty to having no proof of insurance and fined $376.48.
* Dale Ann Yoho, 825 Seventh St., Parkersburg, was arraigned on a charge of possession of a controlled substance and second-offense shoplifting (capias) and held on $2,200 bond.
* Paul Anthony Welch, Parkersburg, was arraigned on charges of domestic battery and domestic assault and held on $4,000 bond.
* George Cross Jr., 517 13 1/2 St., Parkersburg, was arraigned on charges of DUI and having an open container of alcohol and released on $500 bond.
* Lisa Lewis Spradlin, 2505 New York Ave., Parkersburg, was arraigned on charges of having expired registration and distracted driving (cell phone) and released on $500 bond.
* Jacob Reuben Griffin, 1529 1/2 20th St., Parkersburg, was arraigned on charges of obstructing an officer, disorderly conduct and failure to process and released on $1,500 bond.
* Timothy Joseph O’Dell, no address given, was arraigned on a charge of being a fugitive from justice out of Laramie County in Wyoming on a charge of aggravated burglary with a deadly weapon. A bond hearing was set in Wood County Circuit Court.
* Kenneth Ray George, 1305 36th St., Parkersburg, was arraigned on a charge of DUI with injury and released on $5,000 bond.
* Colby Michael Snodgrass, 131 Sixth Ave., Parkersburg, was arraigned on charges of speeding (54 mph in a 50 mph zone) and failure to yield to an emergency vehicle and released on $500 bond.
* James Michael Nestor, 615 Putnam St., Parkersburg, was arraigned on charges of expired registration (two counts) and expired MVI (two counts) and released on $1,000 bond.
* Dory Dejuan Darden, Parkersburg, was arraigned on charges of shoplifting and passing unauthorized currency and released on $500 bond.
* Earlene Marie Colucei, 2098 Harris Highway, Washington, W.Va. pleaded guilty to speeding and fined $181.48.
* Jason Dewayne Morris, 215 Buckingham Road, Belleville, pleaded no contest to driving without a valid driver’s license and fined $191.48
* Timothy Daniel McCoy, 2134 Palestine Road, Palestine, pleaded guilty to speeding and fined $181.48. A charge of having no insurance was dismissed after proof was presented to the court.
* Kasey Rene King, 1306 15th St., Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to a traffic control device violation and fined $181.48.
* Heather Ann Akers, 1119 Dupont Road, Washington, W.Va., pleaded guilty to speeding and fined $196.48.
* Morisa Sue Cochran, 113 Pickering St., Parkersburg, was arraigned on a charge of possession of a controlled substance and released on $500 bond.
* Aaron Lee Dobson, 3300 Kim St., Parkersburg, was arraigned on a charge of possession of a controlled substance and released on $500 bond.
