Wood Magistrate

PARKERSBURG — The following cases were handled in Wood County Magistrate Court on Feb. 14-17:

* Levi William Barker, C/O 3506 Camden Ave., Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to second offense shoplifting, fined $176.48 and sentenced to six months in jail with a credit of nine days for time served. Another charge of second offense shoplifting and shoplifting were dismissed, per a plea agreement.

* Darren Michael Mallett, Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to a charge of domestic battery, fined $176.48 and sentenced to 12 months in jail with a credit of 37 days for time served. A charge of strangulation was dismissed.

* James Lee Hall, 1509 Covert St., Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to trespassing and obstruction with threats of harm, fined $362.96 and sentenced to nine days in jail which was ruled as time served.

* Derek William Roberts, Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to failure to process, obstruction with threats of harm, fined $462.96 and sentenced to 30 days in jail with a credit of one day for time served. He had a charge of domestic battery dismissed without prejudice after the alleged victim wrote a letter to the court saying he does not want to prosecute.

* Lewis Jonathan-Blake Williams, Parkersburg, had a charge of third-offense domestic assault dismissed without prejudice as the alleged victim does not wish to prosecute.

* Jackie Anne Nay, 122 Sharon St., Mineral Wells, had a charge of third-offense shoplifting dismissed.

* Jonathan Allen Gloeckner, Parkersburg, had a preliminary hearing waived on a charge of grand larceny. The case was sent to Wood County Circuit Court.

* Claudia Ann Collins, 1108½, 16th St., Parkersburg, had a preliminary hearing waived on a charge of terroristic threats. The case was sent to Wood County Circuit Court.

* Molly Beth Jones, 608 23rd St., Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to second-offense shoplifting, fined $176.48 and sentenced to 10 days in jail which was ruled as time served. She was ordered to pay a $50 civil penalty to the Sheetz store on Seventh Street.

* Shawn Lake Hays, 38958 State Rt. 26, Graysville, Ohio, pleaded guilty to driving on a suspended license and fined $276.48

* Thomas Edward Deem, 15 Valley Mills Court, Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to shoplifting and fined $201.48. He was ordered to pay a $279.74 civil penalty to the Walmart store in Vienna.

* Casey Camryn Williamson, Dublin, Va., was arraigned on two counts of domestic battery and released on $4,000 bond.

* Thomas Damel Lott, Parkersburg, was arraigned on a charge of domestic battery and released on $25,000 bond.

* Kenneth Brian Henry, 409 Sands St., Ravenswood, was arraigned on a charge of fraudulent schemes and released on $4,000 bond.

* Brian Keith Riser, 3501 Sixth Ave., Parkersburg, was arraigned on charges of battery of a police officer, obstructing an officer and possession of a controlled substance and held on $4,000 bond.

* Maranda Konstance Davis, 2411 Kildare St., Huntsville, Ala., was arraigned on a charge of having no proof of insurance, driving on a revoked license for DUI and held on $2,500 bond.

* Samuel Jordan Fleet, 825 Seventh St., Parkersburg, was arraigned on a charge of violation of a protective order and released on $2,000 bond.

* William Douglas Shaffer, 467 Coates Ridge Road, Rockport, was arraigned on a charge of fraudulent schemes and held on $3,000 bond.

* Evan Lee Grimes, 49 Carriage Lane, Brueton Mills, W.Va., was arraigned on a charge of grand larceny and held on $20,000 bond.

* James Walter Layton, 4005 McCorkle Ave. SE, Charleston, was arraigned on a charge of attempt to commit false pretenses and released on $10,000 bond.

* Mahala Layne Richards, 2305½ Oak St., Parkersburg, was arraigned on a charge of fraud related to an access device and held on $50,000 bond.

* Frank Carrol Lawrence, 1131 Lynn St #2 (Upstairs Apartment), Parkersburg, was arraigned on a charge of burglary and held on $100,000 bond.

* Joshua Wayne Bee, 485 Miller Ridge Road, Davisville, was arraigned on a charge of fleeing while DUI and held on $50,000 bond.

* Hannah A. James-Rojas, 910 Neal St., Parkersburg, was arraigned on a charge of petit larceny and released on $2,500 bond.

* Les Allan Koon, 1323½ Oak St., Parkersburg, was arraigned on a charge of selling/distributing beer to someone under 21 and released on $500 bond.

* Linda Grey Andrew, 3201 Happy Valley Lane, Parkersburg, was arraigned on charges of grand larceny and held on $20,000 bond.

* Matthew John Denning, 1903 9th St., Vienna, was arraigned on charges of DUI less than .15 BAC and released on $1,000 bond.

* Bridgette L. Heuer, Elizabeth, was arraigned on a charge of being an inmate in possession of a controlled substance and held on $15,000 bond.

* David Roscoe Gray Jr, 1106 Henry Camp Road, St. Marys, pleaded guilty to DUI while impaired but a BAC of less than.15, fined $351.48 and sentenced to six hours in jail.

* Vonda Darline Wheaton, 1214 Camden Ave., Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to battery and fined $236.48.

* Myria Anthony Yeager, 2609 Progress Ridge Road, Walker, pleaded guilty to speeding in a construction zone (76 mph in a 55 mph zone) and fined $276.48.

* Brandon Maxwell Tanzey, 85 Mineral Park Lane, Mineral Wells, pleaded guilty to possession of a controlled substance and on an access site and fined $276.48.

* Paula Lynne Hadley, 2111 Private St., Parkersburg, had a charge of keeping premises for unlawful controlled substance use dismissed, per a plea agreement.

* Raymond Lee Maillet, 1311 Seventh St., Vienna, pleaded guilty to possession of a controlled substance without a valid prescription, fined $176.48 and sentenced to 90 days in jail which was suspended and he was placed on six months of unsupervised probation.

* Robert Larry Horton Jr., 143 West Wildwood Drive, Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to hunting/fishing on a revoked license and fined $276.48.

* John Paul Cox, 10040 Staunton Turnpike, Walker, pleaded guilty to improper registration and fined $357.96. He had a charge of possession of a controlled substance without a valid prescription dismissed as part of a successful deferred sentence agreement. He had a charge of having no proof of insurance dismissed, per a plea agreement.

* Sharolyn Ann Johnson, 1012 18th St. #2, Vienna, had a charge of worthless checks dismissed as part of a successful deferred sentence agreement.

* Isaiah David Thomas, 87 Riverview Ave., Little Hocking, had charges of possession of a controlled substance without a valid prescription, and having no insurance dismissed as part of a successful deferred sentence agreement. He also had charges of loud exhaust and improper registration dismissed, per a plea agreement as well as handling each issue and providing proof to the court.

* Logan Michael Hinzman, 624 31st St., Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to shoplifting and fined $201.48. He was ordered to pay a $774.44 civil penalty to the Walmart store in Parkersburg.

* Shana Danielle Brown, 2614 Hugh St., Parkersburg, had a charge of driving on a suspended license dismissed after obtaining a valid license and the state no longer wishes to prosecute.

* Charles Aaron Bias, 891 Parkersburg Road Apt. 9, Ripley, pleaded guilty to driving on a suspended license and fined $276.48.
