Wood Magistrate
PARKERSBURG — The following cases were handled in Wood County Magistrate Court on Feb. 13:
* Lesley Deanne Hall, 1202 Lockwood St. Apt B, Belpre, had a charge of possession of a controlled substance dismissed after a successful deferred sentence agreement.
* Charles William Clark, 26 Wills St., Mineral Wells, pleaded guilty to second-offense driving on a suspended license and fined $276.48.
* Mary Balderson, S11 130 1/2 St., Parkersburg, had a charge of first-degree arson dismissed as the alleged victim did not appear in court and the state did not wish to pursue.
* Scott Allen Joner, 1113 Highland Ave. Apt. 2, Williamstown, had a preliminary hearing waived for three counts of attempting to disarm a law enforcement officer. The case was sent to Wood County Circuit Court.
* John Harvey Legg, 183 Roast Lane, Summersville, pleaded guilty to DUI, fined $871.48 and sentenced to two hours in jail which was ruled as time served.
* Charles David Fillinger Jr., 1108 Juliana St. Apt. 81, Parkersburg, had a charge of falsely reporting an emergency dismissed after a successful deferred sentencing agreement.
* Eva Jo Szakats-Smith, 701 Virgil St., Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to violating an emergency protective order, fined $456.48 and sentenced to 30 days in jail which was suspended and she was placed on one year of unsupervised probation.
* Michael David Enoch, 609 33rd St., Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to third-offense driving on a suspended license, fined $150 and sentenced to 30 days home confinement after not completing a deferred sentencing agreement.
* Russell E. Modesitt, 383 Odell Lane, Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to illegal possession of deer and fined $196.48.
* Marley Orion Umensetter, 1404 15th Ave., Parkersburg, had charges of having no proof of insurance, expired registration and operating a vehicle without an inspection certificate dismissed as the ticket was over one year old before the arraignment.
* Austin James Sovil, 48 Bills Way, Parkersburg, had a charge of possession of a controlled substance without a valid prescription dismissed after a successful deferred sentence agreement.
* Christopher Colt Whisnant, Parkersburg, had a charge of violating a protective order dismissed without prejudice.
* Richard Gordon Taylor, 544 Island View Drive, Parkersburg, had a charge of possession of a controlled substance less than 15 grams dismissed after a successful deferred sentence agreement.
* Lucas Allen Heiss, 193. Salem Ridge Road, Waterford, pleaded guilty to DUI with injury and failure to render aid, fined $667.96 and sentenced to 30 days and eight hours in jail which was suspended and he was placed on six months of unsupervised probation.
* April Michelle Trippett, 820 Lenore St., Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to shoplifting and fined $211.34. She was ordered to pay a $225.34 civil penalty to the Ollie’s store at Gihon Village.
* Brandid Lee Jackson, 504 34th St. Apt. 6, Vienna, had a preliminary hearing on two counts of burglary waived. The case was sent to Wood County Circuit Court.
* Aaron Edward Ramsey, P.O. Box 275, Keslers Cross Lanes, W.Va., pleaded guilty to battery, fined $176.48 and sentenced to 30 days in jail which was suspended and he was placed on one year of unsupervised probation where he has to do counseling. A charge of obstruction with threats of harm was dismissed, per a plea agreement.
* Jackie Anne Nay, 122 Shannon St., Mineral Wells, had a charge of third-offense shoplifting dismissed.
* Kalla Violetta Wright, 811 Wood St., Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to second-offense shoplifting and trespassing, fined $176.48 and sentenced to three days in jail which was ruled as time served. She was ordered to pay a $50 civil penalty to Sheetz. Charges of trespassing, obstruction with threats of harm and another shoplifting charge were dismissed, per a plea agreement.
* Everett Dale McMullen II, 410 Poplar Ave., Williamstown, had charges of having no proof of insurance, driving on a suspended license (two counts) and having no insurance dismissed after a successful deferred sentence agreement.
* Ronald Aaron Sartin II, 508 East 12th Ave., Ranson, W.Va., pleaded guilty to second-offense driving on a suspended license and having no insurance and fined $662.96. Charges of driving on a suspended license and having no proof of insurance were dismissed.
* Jakeb Michael Bailey, 2005 Willard Road, Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to having expired registration and fined $181.48. A charge of knowingly operating a vehicle without the required insurance was dismissed, per a plea agreement. He also pleaded guilty to another charge of driving on a suspended license and fined $276.48.
* Lori Dawn Hellein, 1905 Rockland Ave., Belpre, pleaded guilty to running a red light and fined $181.48.
* Leanna Allyson Fannie Higgins, 294 Madison Ave., Akron, Ohio, was arraigned on a charge of obstruction and released on $1,000 bond.
* Ira Blair Hyde, 825 Seventh St., Parkersburg, was arraigned on a charge of assault and trespassing and held on $2,500 bond.
* Joshua Allen Countryman, 2927 East Mound St., Columbus, Ohio, was arraigned on charges of leaving the scene of an accident and failure to maintain control and released on $1,000 bond.
* Brea Lary Lego, 1208 15th St., Parkersburg, was arraigned on a charge of having no insurance and released on $1,000 bond.
* Annmarie Theresa Illicete, Vienna, was arraigned on a charge of driving while impaired with a BAC equal or greater than .15 and held on $25,000 bond.
* Joshua David Chichester, 1444 Jesterville Road, Parkersburg, was arraigned on a charge of third-offense driving on a suspended license for DUI and held on $2,000 bond.
* Cody McKay Stone, 1321 Lynn St., Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to second-offense driving on a suspended license and fined $276.48.
