Wood Magistrate

PARKERSBURG — The following cases were handled in Wood County Magistrate Court on Feb. 10:

• Tyler Lee Hartley, Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to brandishing deadly weapons (two counts), domestic assault, discharging a firearm within 500 feet of a dwelling, fined $705.92 and sentenced to one year in jail which was suspended and he was placed on one year of unsupervised probation where he has to participate in in-patient and out-patient treatment and follow all guidelines. A sentence of six months in jail for the domestic assault charge was suspended and he was placed on one year of unsupervised probation which will run concurrently. He was credited for 10 days for time served. He had five counts of wanton endangerment with a firearm dismissed, per a plea agreement.

• Scottie Allen Vanover, 1012 Matthews Ave., Charleston, had a preliminary hearing waived on two counts of third-offense shoplifting. The case was sent to Wood County Circuit Court.

• Courtney Danielle Barker, Parkersburg, had a preliminary hearing waived on a charge of transporting contraband into a correctional facility. The case was sent to Wood County Circuit Court.

• Rex Franklin Hutson Jr., 1420 Spring St., Parkersburg, was arraigned on charges of driving on a suspended license and reckless driving and released on $2,000 bond.

• Vanessa Rose Varner, 375 Crown Manor Circle, Mineral Wells, was arraigned on charges of having no proof of insurance and possession of a controlled substance and released on $1,000 bond.

• Matthew Leonard Griffin, 585 Slate Creek Road, Elizabeth, was arraigned on a charge of destruction of property and released on $500 bond.

• Nakita Cheyenne Merinar, 805 Spruce Fork Road, Buckhannon, W.Va., was arraigned on a charge of first-offense shoplifting and released on $150 bond.

• Harold Clyde Hardbarger, 35 Comfort Lane, Ellenboro, was arraigned on a charge of driving impaired with a BAC equal or greater than .15 and released on $3,000 bond.

• Carly Jane Kaptis, 2717 25th St., Parkersburg, was arraigned on a charge of having no insurance and released on $1,000 bond.

• Bailey Eugene Keel, 3714 East Seventh St., Parkersburg, was arraigned on charges of first-offense shoplifting and possession of a controlled substance and released on $1,000 bond.

• Samantha Jo Paugh, 704 Elm St. Apt. 11, Parkersburg, was arraigned on three counts of third-offense shoplifting and released on $12,000 bond.

• Adrian Joel Corren, 4134 Forest Island Drive, Orlando, Fla., pleaded no contest to driving on a suspended license and speeding and fined $526.96.

• Mohamed Seyam Ramada A Sayed, 116 Maple Ave., Massillon, Ohio, pleaded guilty to speeding and fined $181.48.

• Nicole Dawn Wiseman, 712 30th 31, Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to driving on a suspended license and fined $276.48.

• Racchel Naomi Kress, 46 Vanfossen Lane, Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to speeding in a school zone and fined $201.48.

• Zachary Thomes Gillard, 4220 Lincoln St., Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to speeding and fined $191.48.

• Christopher Lee Lutz, C/O NCRJ, # 1 Lois Lane, Greenwood, W.Va., had a preliminary hearing waived on charges of battery of a law enforcement officer and manufacture or possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver a Schedule I or II narcotic or meth. The case was sent to Wood County Circuit Court. The case was sent to Wood County Circuit Court.

• Kyle Lee Beha, 248 Lick Run Road, Walker, was arraigned on a charge of child abuse by a parent causing injury and released on $5,000 bond.
