PARKERSBURG — The following cases were handled in Wood County Magistrate Court on Jan. 9:

* Christopher Wayne Hutson. 1010 Johnson Road, Parkersburg, was arraigned on charges of being a prohibited person in possession of a firearm, obstruction and fleeing from an officer and held on $4,500 bond.

* Paul Anthony Welch, 4817 Crestview Circle, Parkersburg, was arraigned on a charge of aggravated DUI and released on $500 bond.

* Melissa Dawn Wolfe, No Address Given, was arraigned on a charge of being a fugitive from justice out of Washington County, Ohio, on charges of obstruction and theft. She was held on no bond.

* Darren Michael Mallett, 321 Oak St., Zanesville, Ohio, was arraigned on charges of strangulation and being a fugitive from justice out of Washington County, Ohio, on charges of breaking and entering and violating probation. He was held on $10,000 bond on the strangulation charge and a bond hearing would be set in Wood County Circuit Court on the fugitive from justice charge.

* Nathan Paul Caplinger, 31 Westview Way, Parkersburg, was arraigned on a charge of strangulation and held on $100,000 bond.

* Justin Michael Johnson, 825 Seventh St., Parkersburg, was arraigned on charges of public intoxication and possession of a controlled substance without a prescription and held on $500 bond.

* Paul David White, 225 Cerise Lane Apt 1902, Wheeling, was arraigned on a charge of fleeing with reckless indifference and held on $200,000 bond.

* Kyshon Daniel Richardson, 4851 Hull Rd SE, Conyers, Ga., pleaded guilt to improper cell phone use and fined $176.48.

* Martin Lee Lamm, 2289 Banshee Lane, Coolville, had a charge of operating a vehicle without an inspection certificate dismissed.

* Eli Isaiah Thompson, 25076 Mountain Belt Road, Coolville, pleaded guilty to speeding (49 mph in a 35 mph) and fined $181.48.
