Wood Magistrate

PARKERSBURG — The following cases were handled in Wood County Magistrate Court on Dec. 23-25:

* Hannah Nicole Brannon, 512 9th Ave. Apt. D, Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to having no operator’s license and fined $186.48.

* Zhi Jiane, 131 Fair Isle Court, Raleigh, N.C., pleaded guilty to speeding in a construction zone and fined $186.48.

* Dale Robert Wiggins Jr., 44 Meadowbrook Acres, Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to obstructing officers relating to a boating incident and fined $226.48. He had a charge of malicious or unlawful assault dismissed without prejudice after the alleged victim failed to appear in court. He also pleaded guilty to shoplifting and fined $201.48. He was ordered to pay a $237.86 civil penalty to Walmart.

* Kyle Scott Drake, 3858 Shelving Rock Road, Elizabeth, had a preliminary hearing waived on a charge of attempt to commit a felony punishable with life imprisonment. The case was bound over to Wood County Circuit Court.

* Mitchell Allan Edwards, 851 Eli Locust Road, Washington, W.Va., had a preliminary hearing waived for a charge of manufacture or possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver a Schedule I or II narcotic or meth. The case was sent to Wood County Circuit Court.

* Chantz David Clark, 38 Riggs Run Road, Elizabeth, had a charge of strangulation dismissed with prejudice after the alleged victim failed to appear in court.

* Timothy David Dotson, 1125 Pike St., Parkersburg, had a preliminary hearing waived for a sex offender registration violation. The case was bound over to Wood County Circuit Court.

* Philip Joseph Humphries, 1612 Latrobe St., Parkersburg, had a preliminary hearing waived for a charge of possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver. The case was bound over to Wood County Circuit Court.

* Denine Lynn Mullins-Stewart, 1015 Quincy St., Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to possession of a controlled substance (meth) and fined $226.48.

* Joshua Allen Chipps, 802 1/2 Camden Ave., Parkersburg, was arraigned on charges of third-offense driving on a suspended license, reckless driving and obstruction.

* Ashley Erin Roton, 588 Burnthouse Road, Parkersburg, was arraigned on a charge of obstructing an officer and released on $1,000 bond.

* Clifford Macie Marlowe, 63 East Hickory St., Davisville, was arraigned on a charge of second-offense driving on a revoked license and having no insurance and released on $3,000 bond.

* Bobby James Asbury, Parkersburg, was arraigned on a charge of attempt to commit a felony (breaking and entering) and released on $500 bond.

* John Jacob Matthews, 2515 Broadway Ext., Parkersburg, was arraigned on a charge of possession of a controlled substance and released on $2,000 bond.

* Desmond Latrell Self, 2055 Leblanc St., Lincoln Park, Mich., was arraigned on two counts of possession of a controlled substance (meth and fentanyl) and held on $300,000 bond.

* Stephanie Marie Robinson, 1315 16th St., Parkersburg, was arraigned on four counts of shoplifting and released on bond.

* Tabitha Starr Sprouse-Haught, 1208 25th St., Parkersburg, was arraigned on charges of shoplifting, possession of a controlled substance and second offense shoplifting and released on bond.

* Travis Shane McCune II, 807 38th St., Vienna, was arraigned on a charge of driving while impaired and released on $2,000 bond.

PARKERSBURG — The following cases were handled in Wood County Magistrate Court on Dec. 26:

* Scott Edwards Davis, 1412 School St., Parkersburg, had a charge of strangulation dismissed as the state is unable to prosecute at this time.

* Michael David Enoch, 607 33rd St., Parkersburg, had a preliminary hearing waived for charges of manufacture or possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver a Schedule I or II narcotic or meth and being a prohibited person in possession of a firearm. The case was sent to Wood County Circuit Court.

* Jason Lee Hibbitts, 1017 33rd St., Vienna, had a preliminary hearing waived for a charge of escape or attempted escape. The case was sent to Wood County Circuit Court.

* Clarence Anderson Roush, 325 Coopers Ridge Road, Williamstown, was arraigned on charges of being a prohibited person in possession of a firearm and wanton endangerment involving a firearm and held on $50,000 bond.

* James Lee Hall, Parkersburg, was arraigned on a charge of third offense domestic battery and held on $5,000 bond.

* Jason Lee Allman, 705 Hall Road, Parkersburg, was arraigned on charges of battery of a police officer, obstruction and disorderly conduct and held on $2,500 bond.

* Jerimy A. Stewart, 2043 Sams Creek Road, Mineral Wells, was arraigned on charges of having expired registration and no MVI and released on $500 bond.

* Tiffany Dawn Arthur, 206 Pell St., Grantsville, pleaded guilty to shoplifting and fined $226.48. She was ordered to pay a $673.30 civil penalty to the Walmart store in Parkersburg.

* Johnathan Mathew Stoops, Dunbar, pleaded guilty to domestic battery, fined $196.48 and sentenced to 30 days in jail.

* Ronald Anthony Brown, 12401 Brickyard Blvd. Apt. 3036, Beltsville, Md., had probable cause found for a charge of manufacture or possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver a Schedule I or II narcotic or meth. The case was sent to Wood County Circuit Court.
