Wood Magistrate
PARKERSBURG — The Following Cases Were Handled In Wood County Magistrate Court On Oct. 3:
* Randal Eric Bettinger, 2509 Valley View Drive, Belpre, had a preliminary hearing waived on charges of being a prohibited from possessing firearms due to a felony controlled substance conviction, being a prohibited person in possession of a firearm, grand larceny, breaking and entering and manufacture or possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver a Schedule I or II narcotic or meth. The case was sent to Wood County Circuit Court.
* Joseph Aaron Kart, P.O. Box 193, Elizabeth, had a charge of attempted felony dismissed without prejudice after the alleged victim failed to appear.
* Kenneth David Burrell II, 45 Juliana St., Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to shoplifting and fined $201.48. He was ordered to pay a $696.58 civil penalty to the Walmart store in Vienna. A charge of attempted felony was dismissed without prejudice after the alleged victim failed to appear.
* Dana Adam Pierson, Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to possession of a controlled substance without a valid prescription, fined $176.48 and sentenced to 90 days in jail which was suspended and he was placed on one year of unsupervised probation.
* Amy Renee Henderson, 2552 Slate Run Road, Belleville, pleaded guilty to having no proof of insurance and possession of a controlled substance without a valid prescription and fined $552.96.
* Christopher M. Ayers, 714 Myrtle St., Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to operating a vehicle without an inspection certificate and fined $181.48. He had charges of having expired registration and having no proof of insurance dismissed, per a plea agreement.
* Malaki Descan Sylvia, 1107 Merrick St., Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to having no seat belt and fined $25. Charges of operating a vehicle without an inspection certificate and operating a vehicle without registration were dismissed, per a plea agreement.
* Carter Thomas Stacy, 1624 Hill St., Belpre, pleaded guilty to driving on a suspended license and fined $286.48. A charge of carrying a firearm without a provisional license or authorization for someone under 21-years-old was dismissed as part of a successful deferred sentence program. Charges of obstruction with threats of harm and having no insurance were dismissed, per a plea agreement.
* Galen Scott George, 174 Killdeer Lane, Washington, W.Va., pleaded guilty to Dui in an impaired state and fined $361.48.
* Jeffrey N. Hillen, 93 County Road 6, Ironton, pleaded guilty to DUI and fined $351.48.
* Payge Renee Clark, 301 Mineral Manor Way, Parkersburg, had a charge of animal cruelty dismissed, per a plea agreement. Another charge of animal cruelty was dismissed after a successful deferred sentence program.
* Robert Lee Burris, 1114 39th St., Parkersburg, had a charge of fleeing from an officer dismissed, per a plea agreement.
* Amy Renee Henderson, 2552 Slate Run Road, Belleville, had a charge of no proof of insurance dismissed, per a plea agreement.
* Grant Stephen Dawson, 3009 Turkey Fork Road, Sandyville, pleaded guilty to possession of a controlled substance (heroin), fined $176.48 and sentenced to 90 days in jail which was suspended and he was placed on one year of unsupervised probation.
* Larry Wayne Sprouse, 1312 15th St., Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to a protection order violation, fined $426.48 and sentenced to one day of home confinement. He also pleaded guilty to obstruction with threats of harm and fined $652.96.
* Robert Lee Burris, c/o 1114 39th St., Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to fleeing from law enforcement, fined $186.48 and sentenced to 30 days in jail which was suspended and he was placed on one year of unsupervised probation.
* Christian Amos Rubart, Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to domestic assault, fined $186.48 and sentenced to 30 days in jail which was suspended and he was placed on one year of unsupervised probation. Another charge of domestic assault was dismissed, per a plea agreement.
* Roy Daniel McElfresh, 1023 1/2 32nd St., Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to having no proof of insurance and driving on a suspended license and fined $652.96. Charges of third-offense driving on a suspended license and having improper registration were dismissed, per a plea agreement.
* Bridgett M Jackson, 34 Kings Row Court Lot 8, Parkersburg, had charges of driving on a suspended license, driving on a suspended license for DUI and having no insurance (two counts) dismissed.
* Rebecca Lynn Dillard, Parkersburg, was arraigned on a charge of failure to register as a child abuser and released on $2,500 bond.
* Bradley Hall Anderson, 647 13th St., Parkersburg, was arraigned on a charge of possession and released on $100 bond.
* Cheyenne M. Hayes, 606 Mayberry Run Road, Palestine, was arraigned on charges of having a controlled substance on an access site and conspiracy to violate Chapter 20 and released on $1,000 bond.
* Brittany Annabelle Science, no address given, was arraigned on a charge of being a fugitive from justice out of Washington County, Ohio, for failure to appear for a court hearing. She was held on no bond.
* David Allen Parker, 601 33rd St., Parkersburg, was arraigned on charges of strangulation and being a prohibited person in possession of a firearm and held on $15,000 bond.
* Auston Gaige Crouch, 2212 36th St. Apt. T, Parkersburg, was arraigned on charges of registration violation, third-offense driving on a suspended license, having an unsecured load and having no proof of insurance and released on $2,000 bond.
* Clifford Clinton Mayo III, 111 Wooster St., Marietta, was arraigned on a charge of obtaining property in return for a worthless check and released on $1,400 bond.
* David Kenneth Riel, 1213 Pike St., Parkersburg, was arraigned on a charge of obstructing while trying to disarm an officer and held on $150,000 bond.
* William Edward Vandal Jr., 177 Rector Drive, Creston, was arraigned on charges of third-offense driving on a suspended license, following too closely and having no insurance and released on $1,500 bond.
* Betty Life, 3009 Beeman Road, Washington, W.Va., pleaded guilty to a red light violation and fined $181.48.
* Andrew David Calebaugh, 184 Logan Lane, Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to driving on a suspended license and fined $276.48.
* Rebekah Linn Hutson, 1420 Spring St., Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to operating a vehicle without an inspection certificate and having defective equipment and fined $362.96.
* Matthew Preston Gibson, 3046 Williamstown Pike, Williamstown, pleaded guilty to speeding (10 mph or less in excess on highway) and fined $186.48
* Justin Lee Nutter, 97 Stagg Road, Washington, W.Va. pleaded guilty to speeding (69 mph in a 55 mph zone) and released on $181.48.
