Wood Magistrate

PARKERSBURG — The following cases were handled July 28 in Wood County Magistrate Court:

* Christopher Adam Espy, Mineral Wells, pleaded guilty to speeding in a construction zone and fined $220.25.

* Justin Smith, Washington, W.Va., pleaded no contest to having no proof of insurance and fined $175.25. A charge of operating a vehicle without an inspection certificate was dismissed.

* John Vincent Rutledge, Belleville, had a preliminary hearing waived on a charge of manufacture/deliver/possess with intent to manufacture/deliver (Schedule I or II Narcotic).

* Daniel Joseph Shmigal, Parkersburg, had a preliminary hearing waived on charges of burglary and malicious assault. The case was bound over to Circuit Court.

* Tavion Dujuan Blue, Akron, had probable cause found on a charge of manufacture/deliver/possess with intent to manufacture/deliver Schedule I or II Narcotic. The case was bound over to Circuit Court.

* Dustin Dewayne Metz, Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to second-offense shoplifting, fined $280.25 and placed on home confinement for six months. He was ordered to pay a $50 civil penalty to the southside Wal-Mart store. A charge of third-offense shoplifting was dismissed.

* Dayshon Montrey Lewis, Parkersburg, had probable cause found on two counts of manufacture/deliver/possess with intent to manufacture/deliver Schedule I or II Narcotic. The case was bound over to Circuit Court.

* Elvis Presley Logston, Parkersburg, was arraigned on a charge of possession with intent to deliver and released on $10,000 bond.

* Mitchell Shane Goodwin, Vienna, was arraigned on charges of public intoxication and possession of a controlled substance. He was released on $3,000 bond.

* William Andrew Leibau, Parkersburg, was arraigned on two counts of being a persons prohibited from possessing firearms and held on $100,000 bond.

* Jay D. Offenberger, Williamstown, was arraigned on a charge of assault and released on $500 bond.
