Wood County Circuit Court

PARKERSBURG– The following cases were handled recently in Wood County Circuit Court:

* Brian K. Crumbley, 26, 1111 Lynn St., Parkersburg, pleaded guilty before Circuit Judge J.D. Beane to grand larceny and petit larceny. Sentencing is delayed to allow participation in a drug treatment program.

* Russell William Erb, 26, 819 Agnes St., Parkersburg, pleaded guilty before Beane to second-degree arson. A pre-sentence investigation was ordered. Sentencing is scheduled for 9:15 a.m. Oct. 12.

* Keiran J. Spader, 900 Lincoln Dr., Parkersburg, pleaded guilty before Beane to possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver. Sentencing is scheduled for 9 a.m. Oct. 12. Spader is ordered to report to the Wood County Day Report Center weekly until sentencing.

* Earnest R. Myer Jr., 58, homeless, Parkersburg, pleaded guilty, through an Alford Plea, to breaking and entering before Judge Robert Waters. Myer agrees to undergo drug treatment. A pre-sentencing investigation is ordered. Sentencing is set for 11:30 a.m. Oct. 15.

* Michael Sulsberger, Parkersburg, was sentenced to two years probation with a credit of 60 days by Waters for a charge of domestic batter. The sentence came after successfully completing drug treatment.

* Brandon L. Leak, 36, 4300 Brumbaugh Blvd., Dayton, Ohio, was charged with possession of a controlled substance and three counts of delivery of a controlled substance. Trial is set before Waters on Oct.5. Motions are due in court by Sept. 10.

* Isaac T. McDonald, 20, 800 29th St. Vienna, pleaded guilty, through an Alford Plea, before Beane to first-degree sexual abuse. A pre-sentencing investigation was ordered. Sentencing is set for 9:30 a.m. Oct. 12.

* Natasha D. Lemley, 29, 91 Old Cedar Grove Road, Parkersburg, pleaded guilty before Beane to grand larceny and was placed into drug court. She was removed from drug court due to program violations. She was sentenced to one to 10 years with a credit of 63 days for time served and credited for 137 days in home confinement. The court recommends mental health treatment.

* Mika Shane Morris, 30, PO Box 44, Middlebourne, pleaded guilty before Judge Jason Wharton to grand larceny. Morris requested probation and a pre-sentencing investigation was ordered. Sentencing is set for 11:30 a.m. Sept. 23.

* Thomas J. Lauric, 38, 1507 Staunton Ave., Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to grand larceny before Waters. A pre-sentencing investigation was ordered. Sentencing is set for 11:30 a.m. Oct. 12.

* Chase Allen Hart, 20, 58 Aqua Circle, Parkersburg, pleaded guilty before Waters to unlawful assault. A pre-sentencing investigation was ordered. Sentencing is set for 1:45 p.m. Oct. 12.

* Dale Patrick Wayne Wright, 22, 1202 Swann St., Parkersburg, had probation revoked on a charge of delivery of a controlled substance. He was sentenced by Waters to one to five years in state prison with a credit of 406 days for time served. All fines and court costs have to be paid within one year.

* Michael McHenry II, 549 New England Ridge Rd., Washington, pleaded guilty to grand larceny. He was ordered by Waters to pay $5,652.72 to Erie Insurance. He was sentenced to one to 10 years in prison with a credit of 73 days for time served. Motions for probation were denied.

* Drew A. Jones, 29, 88 Blackberry Way, Elizabeth, pleaded guilty before Waters to delivery of a controlled substance and sentenced to one to 15 years in jail with a credit of 35 days for time served.

* Courtney E. Kesterson, 31, 1006 Venton Ave., Parkersburg, pleaded guilty before Wharton to possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver. She has agreed to participate in Drug Court. A motion for probation was made and a pre-sentencing investigation ordered. Sentencing is delayed depending on her participation in Drug Court.

* Nathan Bunner, 1112 Latrobe St., Parkersburg, pleaded guilty before Wharton to two counts of breaking an entering. He has agreed to participate in Drug Court. Sentencing is delayed depending on his participation in Drug Court.

* Chevelle B. Sarver, 35, 819 Warren St., Marietta, was sentenced by Wharton to two to 10 years in prison with a credit of 207 days for time served for possession of a controlled substance with intention to distribute. Motions for alternative sentencing were denied. He was ordered to pay $277 in court costs.

* George Lee Carpenter, 41, 109 Post Mill Way, Apt. 308, Mineral Wells Apt. 308, pleaded guilty before Wharton to wanton endangerment with a firearm and was sentenced to one year in jail with a credit of 16 days for time served. Carpenter was discharged from a charge of petit larceny having served his time. He was ordered to pay $250 in restitutions within two years of release.
