Wood Magistrate

PARKERSBURG — The Wood County Magistrate Court released the following reports Aug. 17:

* Jacob Tyler McClead, 23, 40 Cunningham Lane, Elizabeth, pleaded guilty to violation of a protective order and possession of a controlled substance and was sentenced to jail for 90 days, suspended for one year of probation with credit for 13 days served. He was ordered to attend Wirt County Recovery and was assessed $590.50 in court costs and fines.

* Clyde Michael Willis III, 24, 762 Forest Way, Waverly, pleaded guilty to violation of a protective order and was sentenced to jail for 12 hours, served. He was assessed $420.25 in court costs and fines.

* A shoplifting charge was dismissed for Todd Matthew Scaggs, 58, 32372 Dewitts Run Road, Long Bottom; the victim failed to appear.

* April Ann Mounts, 46, 56 Friendly Lane, Elizabeth, pleaded guilty to shoplifting and was sentenced six months jail suspended for two years of probation and was ordered to pay a $100.35 civil penalty to Plato’s Closet. Two counts of shoplifting were dismissed and she was assessed $170.25 in court costs and fines.

* Scott Andrew Bland, 36, 1206 14th St., Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to trepassing and possession of methamphetamine. For the trespassing charge, he was sentenced to jail for 15 days, suspended for one year of probation. For the possession charge, he was sentenced to jail for 90 days, suspended for one year of probation with both sentences to be served consecutively. He was assessed $170.25 in court costs and fines.

* April Ann Mounts, 46, 56 Friendly Lane, Elizabeth, pleaded guilty to shoplifting and was sentenced to two years of probation, suspended for six months of probation and was assessed $170.25 in court cost and fines.

* Jeffery Wayne Davis, 46, 1201 Rayon Drive, Parkersburg, was arraigned on a charge of possession of a controlled substance and driving with a revoked license and was released on a $1,000 personal recognizance bond.

* Meghan A. Souders, 28, 1002 26th St., Parkersburg, was arraigned on a charge of fraudulent use of an access device and was released on a $3,000 personal recognizance bond.

* Adam Joseph Hadley, 32, 3000 29th St., Parkersburg, was arraigned on a charge of possession of heroin with the intent to deliver and was released on a $50,000 surety bond.

* Samuel David Missinne, 32, 360 Walnut Grove, Washington, was arraigned on a charge of no motorcycle indoors and was released on a $500 personal recognizance bond.

* Sarah E. Hickel, 34, 7641 Pike St. Lot 4, Mineral Wells, was arraigned on charges of no insurance and expired registration and was released on a $500 personal recognizance bond.

* Norman Lane Weitzel, 63, 2850 Barnes Ave., Springfield Mo., was arraigned on a driving under the influence charge and was released on a $500 personal recognizance bond.

* Chad Allen Fox, 43, 94 Willow Drive, Elizabeth, was arraigned on charges of no insurance and leaving the scene of an accident and was released on a $1,000 personal recognizance bond.

* Kyle Andrew Dent, 28, 690 Ivy Road, Davisville, was arraigned on charges of trespassing, obstructing, disorderly conduct, possession of a controlled substance, public intoxication and shoplifting and bond was set at $5,000 surety.

* Frederick Sayre Anderson, 61, 1627 Park Ave., Parkersburg, pleaded no contest to no passing zones, left of center, and was assessed $175.25 in court costs and fines.

* Thomas Dewayne Canterbury, 18, 250 Wolf Run Road, Gandeeville, pleaded no contest to no inspection and no registration and was assessed $355.50 in court costs and fines.

* Richard Michael Quaranta, 70, 93 Bramberry Court, Washington, pleaded no contest to no private flotation device for a child under 13 and was assessed $190.25 in court costs and fines.

* Isaac Noah Harris, 20, 407 Suzanne St., Washington, pleaded guilty to failure to appear traffic control device and was assessed $175.25 in court costs and fines.

* Joshua Ray Woods, 45, 120 Wedgewood Drive, Parkersburg, pleaded no contest to no private flotation for a child under 13. He paid court costs and fines via phone.

* Peggy Gail Sontos, 66, 3180 Southwest 88th St., Ocala Fla., pleaded guilty to speeding. She paid court costs and fines by mail.

* Hunter Lee Smith, 24, 1904 Latrobe St., Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to fleeing from an officer, shoplifting and trespassing and was sentenced to jail for 60 days, suspended for one year of probation. He was ordered to pay a $93 civil penalty to Walmart and was assessed $350.50 in court costs and fines.

* Barry Glen Thompson, 58, 4800 Little Pond Creek Road, Ravenswood, pleaded guilty to maintaining a dwelling for the use of controlled substances by others and was sentenced to jail for six months, suspended for one year of probation. A charge of possession of a controlled substance was dismissed and he was assessed $170.25 in court costs and fines.

* Wavel C. Whipkey III, 32, Vienna, pleaded guilty to domestic assault and battery and was sentenced to jail for 180 days, suspended for one year of probation for the assault charge. For the battery charge, he was sentenced to jail for 180 days, suspended for one year of probation. Two counts of brandishing a deadly weapon were dismissed and he was assessed $170.25 in court costs and fines.

* Te’ya Nadine Canty, 27, c/o 926 East 12th St., Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to possession of a controlled substance and shoplifting. For the possession charge, she was sentenced to jail for 90 days, suspended for one year of probation. For the shoplifting charge, she was sentenced to jail for 90 days, suspended for one year of probation. She was ordered to pay a $330.92 civil penalty to Walmart and was assessed $170.25 in court costs and fines.

* Albert Leonard Hoosier, 21, 306 Walnut St., Pennsboro, pleaded guilty to reckless driving and operating a vehicle without seatbelts and was sentenced to jail for 60 days, suspended for one year of probation. A charge of driving under the influence was dismissed and he was assessed $195.25 in court costs and fines.

* Carolyn Sue Sims, 61, 202 Cabin Ridge Road, Waverly, pleaded guilty to passing a school bus and was assessed $670.25 in court costs and fines.

PARKERSBURG — The Wood County Magistrate Court released the following reports Aug. 18:

* Brian Scott Brewer, 50, 5080 State Route 60, Marietta, pleaded guilty to reckless driving and was assessed $195.25 in court costs and fines. A driving under the influence charge was dismissed.

* Chrisin Nickole Kirby, 28, 4001 Walker Road, Walker, was arraigned on a shoplifting charge and was ordered to pay a $272.62 civil penalty to Walmart. Kirby was assessed $190.25 in court costs and fines.

* A charge of taking the identify of another person was dismissed for Alexis Nicole Edwards, 28, 7570 Lee Creek Road, Belleville.

* Thomas Christian Kaptis, 46, 3307 Third Ave., Vienna, had a preliminary hearing waived for four counts of fraudulent and related activity in connection with an access device and was bound over to Circuit Court.

* Scott James Brannan, 54, 706 Seventh St., Parkersburg, had a preliminary hearing waived for a grand larceny charge and was bound over to Circuit Court.

* Fred Benjamin Lamp III, 39, 602 Reed St., Parkersburg, is a fugitive from justice out of Washington County and was being held without bond.

* Christopher S. Holder, 36, 415 Franklin St., Marietta, was arraigned on charges of shoplifting and obstructing an officer and was released on a $1,000 surety bond.

* Cecelia Kathleen Schultz, 22, 4801 Second Ave. Apt. 4, Parkersburg, last known address, was arraigned on charges of forgery, uttering, taking the identification, false pretenses and shoplifting and bond was set at $11,000 surety.

* Samantha Jo Hornbeck, 29, 1617 Pike St., Parkersburg, was arraigned on charges of shoplifting and trespassing and was released on a $3,000 personal recognizance bond.
