Wood Magistrate

PARKERSBURG — Wood County Magistrate Court released the following reports Sept. 4:

* Robert Van Campbell, 23, 8115 W. Mollahan Road, Malta, Ohio, was arraigned on a charge of bank robbery and held on a $250,000 surety bond. Campbell is accused of robbing Community Bank at 631 Juliana St. on March 5 by allegedly handing a teller a note threatening to call in armed accomplices and detonate a grenade if he was not given cash. Parkersburg Police identified him from surveillance footage and a fingerprint on a discarded pop can, according to the criminal complaint. When police located him, he had been taken into custody in Ohio and charged with a January armed robbery in Zanesville.

* Brian Keith Riel, 51, 1911 Dudley Ave., Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to two counts of second-offense shoplifting, reduced from the original charges of third-offense shoplifting. He was sentenced to two six-month jail terms to be served consecutively, with credit for five days served. He was also assessed $540.50 in fines and court costs. He also pleaded guilty to shoplifting, reduced from the original charge of second-offense shoplifting, and was assessed $195.25 in fines and court costs. He was also ordered to pay civil penalties of $425.66, $179.96 and $425.86 to Lowe’s. In a separate case, he pleaded guilty to second-offense driving on a license suspended for miscellaneous and was assessed $270.25 in fines and court costs.

* Jeremy Ayden Stewart, 43, Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to domestic battery and was sentenced to six months in jail, suspended for two years of unsupervised probation, with credit for 11 days. He was also assessed $170.25 in court costs. Charges of malicious assault and strangulation were dismissed as part of a plea agreement.

* George Alan Barnhart, 57, 1813 17th St., Parkersburg, waived a preliminary hearing on a charge of fleeing from an officer, and the case was bound over to Wood County Circuit Court.

* Gurmel L. McDonald, 33, 101 Gibbons Lane, Apt. B, Belpre, was arraigned on a fugitive from justice charge and held without bond, pending a hearing in Circuit Court.

* Drew Anthony Weaver, 22, care of 100 Market St., Apt. 1, Parkersburg, was arraigned on a charge of attempted breaking and entering and bond was set at $7,500 surety.

* Tami Lynn Williams, 37, Parkersburg, was arraigned on charges of domestic battery and child abuse and released on a $2,000 personal recognizance bond.

* Bradley Steven Wright, 35, 4454 19th Ave., Parkersburg, was arraigned on a charge of escaping house arrest and bond was set at $20,000.

* Dustin Bradley Whipkey, 36, 59 Willowbrook Drive, #4, Parkersburg, was arraigned on a charge of reporting a false emergency and released on a $500 surety bond.

* Sarah Lynn Miller, 39, 1003 Moore Ave., Parkersburg, was arraigned on charges of first-offense driving on a license suspended for miscellaneous and stop sign violation and released on a $500 personal recognizance bond.

* Chester A. Hoover, 64, 1076 Lake Washington Road, Washington, W.Va., pleaded no contest to speeding and was assessed $180.25 in fines and court costs.

* Ronald L. Cheuvront, 63, 2900 23rd St., Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to speeding and was assessed $180.25 in fines and court costs.

PARKERSBURG — The Wood County Magistrate Court released the following reports Sept. 8:

* Sean Patrick Massey, 57, 39 Palhurst Ct., Parkersburg, was arraigned on an aggravated DUI charge and bond was set at $2,000 surety.

* Bland Jackson Richards, 27, Boaz, was arraigned on a domestic battery charge and was released on a $4,000 surety bond.

* Shawn Michael Devins, 42, 28 Sapphire Cir., Davisville, was arraigned on charges of a DUI and possession of a controlled substance and was released on a $3,000 surety bond.

* Luchana Eileen Shields, 39, 1572 Elizabeth St. Apt. A, Belpre, was arraigned on charges of a DUI and driving with a revoked license and was released on a $2,000 surety bond.

* Dustin Michael Halko, 38, Parkersburg, was arraigned on charges of obstructing an officer and domestic battery and bond was set at $20,000 surety.

* Misty Lynn Farnsworth, 38, 1118 Avery St., Parkersburg, was arraigned on charges of shoplifting and two counts of possession of a controlled substance and was released on a $3,000 personal recognizance bond.

* Trina A. Abott, 46, 1708 Staunton Ave., Parkersburg, was arraigned on a possession with intent to deliver, methamphetamine, charge and was released on a $10,000 surety bond.

* William Joshua Miller, 36, 1725 Latrobe St., Parkersburg, was arraigned on a charge of possession of fentanyl and bond was set at $25,000 surety.

* Richard Gene Ballengee, 52, 33 Ivy Rd., Walker, was arraigned on a charge of violation of a protective order and was released on a $2,000 surety bond.

* Samuel Lee Richmond, 34, 701 31st St., Parkersburg, was arraigned on a DUI charge and was released on a $1,000 personal recognizance bond.

* Jacob Sterling Ross, 36, Parkersburg, was arraigned on charges of violation of a protective order and domestic battery and bond was set at $10,000 surety.

* James Franklin Sams, 37, 2103 North St., Parkersburg, was arraigned on a charge of a violation of a protective order and bond was set at $1,000 surety.

* Stephen Donald Oldham, 43, c/o Latrobe St. Mission, Parkersburg, was arraigned on a violation of a protective order charge and bond was set at $2,000 surety.

* Lindsay Dawn Davidson, 21, 1936 Princeton St., Parkersburg, was arraigned on charges of battery of a police officer, public intoxication, battery and destruction of property and bond was seat at $4,000 surety.

* Justin Paul Lowther, 30, 12286 Staunton Tpke, Smithville, pleaded no contest to a no seatbelt charge and was assessed $25.

* Cody Whitecotton, 23, 820 Burk St., Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to speeding and was assessed $175.25 in court fines.
