Wood Magistrate

PARKERSBURG — The Wood County Magistrate Court handled the following cases recently:

* John Anthony Iammarino, 58, 703 29th St., Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to possessing a controlled substance without a prescription and was fined $170.25.

* Jimmie Grimes, 47, 131 Clover Leaf Rd., Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to fleeing and obstructing and was fined $340.50 and sentenced to 60 days in jail.

* Anthony Scott Boling, 44, currently in the North Central Regional Jail, had a preliminary hearing on charges of incest and sexual abuse by a parent or guardian waived. The case was bound over to the Wood County Circuit Court for grand jury consideration.

* Albert Eugene Chute Jr., 24, Lynn Street, Parkersburg, had a preliminary hearing on charges of possessing, manufacturing or delivering a controlled substance waived. The case was bound over to the Wood County Circuit Court for grand jury consideration.

* Mark D. Blouir, 42, 506 Lubeck Ave., Parkersburg, had a preliminary hearing on two counts of obtaining money, property and service by false pretenses (larceny) and one charge of false pretense waived. The cases were bound over to the Wood County Circuit Court for grand jury consideration.

* Jayden Michael Irick, 19, 413 Camden Ave., Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to reckless driving, having no insurance and fined $320.25. A charge of drag racing was dismissed.

* Brandan E. Bays, 23, 900 Hillcrest St., Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to possession of wildlife, failure to check game and was fined $670.25.

* Robert Waitman Peters, 28, 521 Island View Dr., Parkersburg, pleaded no contest to battery and was fined $215.25 and placed on one year of unsupervised probation with a requirement to do counseling for one year.

* Detner Roush IV, 50, 315 1/2 16th St., Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to obstruction and placed on six months unsupervised probation and fined $170.25.

* Steven Loren Mandrell, 42, 814 Swann St., Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to possessing a controlled substance without a valid prescription and was fined $170.25 and placed on one year of unsupervised probation.

* Wayne Shelton Harper, 49, 108 Front St., Spencer, pleaded no contest to speeding and fined $175.25.

* Zakkary Roger Beckett, 24, 2402 Clement Ave. Apt. B, Parkersburg, had six counts of felony fraud in relation to an access device dismissed without prejudice after no witnesses or victims appeared.

* Benjamin Michael Nash, 36, 1501 19th Ave., Parkersburg, was arraigned on charges of possession with intent to manufacture or deliver meth and possession with intent to manufacture or deliver marijuana and bond was set at $50,000.

* Mack D. Garrett, 46, 11053 Lee Creek Rd., Rockport, was arraigned on four counts of child abuse resulting in injury and bond was set at $60,000. According to court records, Garrett got mad at his children for different things, struck them, shoved them into walls and doors, shoved them to the ground, hit them in the face, hit them with a belt, made them fight each other and other punishments after they did something to anger him. The triggers included bad grades, dropping things, how an electrical cord was wrapped, if they tried to intervene in a sibling’s punishment and more.

PARKERSBURG — The Wood County Magistrate Court released the following reports Sept. 4:

* Dustin Michael Windland, 33, 14 Rolling Hills Ct., Parkersburg, had a preliminary hearing waived for a charge of possession with intent to deliver and was bound over to Wood County Circuit Court.

* Jason Dean Wade, 45, 405 Cresent St., Parkersburg, had a preliminary hearing waived for a charge of possession with intent to deliver and was bound over to circuit court.

* Timothy L. Rogers, 41, 1119 1/2 13th St., Parkersburg, was arraigned on three counts of failure to appear charges and bond was set at $15,000 surety.

* Justin Michael Barker, 27, 3929 Ninth Ave., Parkersburg, was arraigned on a malicious/unlawful assault charge and bond was set at $200,000 surety.

* Jeremy Austin Stewart, 25, 141 North Hills Dr., Parkersburg, was arraigned on charges of speeding and possession of a controlled substance and was released on a $1,000 personal recognizance bond.

* Kevin Zachary Mason, 25, 2131 16th., Parkersburg, was arraigned on a possession of a controlled substance charge and was released on a $1,000 personal recognizance bond.

* Sierra Cheyenne Renee Medina, 20, 3153 25th St. Apt. 4, Parkersburg was arraigned on a violation of a protective order charge and was released on a $1,000 personal recognizance bond.

* Nathaniel Aaron Knotts, 22, 5000 Kay St., Parkersburg, was arraigned on a violation of a protective order charge and was released on a $1,000 personal recognizance bond.

* Nathan Corey Strickler, 33, 1454 Rector Rd., Vienna, was arraigned on a possession of a controlled substance charge and was released on a $2,000 surety bond.

* Jessica Nycole Surrena, 33, 308 Dempsie Ave., Parkersburg, was arraigned on a violation of a protective order charge and was released on a $1,500 personal recognizance bond.

* Zakkary Roger Beckett, 24, 2402 Clement Ave. Apt. B, Parkersburg, was arraigned on a charge of receiving/transferring stolen property and was released on a $1,500 personal recognizance bond.

* Austin J. Murphy, 25, 1616 Olive St., Parkersburg, pleaded no contest to driving on a suspended license and no insurance and was assessed $640.50 in court fines.

* Chasity Dawn Smith, 21, 4444 18th Ave., Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to operation without an inspection and failure to produce certificate and was assessed $175.25 in court fines.
