Wood Magistrate

PARKERSBURG — Wood County Magistrate Court released the following reports Aug. 21:

* Austina Shae McCartney, 26, 807 Virginia Ave., Parkersburg, was arraigned on a charge of shoplifting and released on a $500 personal recognizance bond.

* Christina I. Holdren, 33, 413 Eighth St., Parkersburg, was arraigned on a charge of receiving/transferring stolen property and released on a $2,500 surety bond.

* Faith Tea-Noel Hutson, 22, Parkersburg, was arraigned on charges of domestic battery, disorderly conduct, obstructing and battery of a government official and released on a $2,500 surety bond. Hutson allegedly struck a relative, refused to comply with officers’ directions and attempted to spit on officers after being handcuffed.

* Eric Daniel Whitlatch, 51, 413 Eighth St., Parkersburg, was arraigned on a charge of receiving/transferring stolen property and bond was set at $2,500 surety.

* Cassandra Rebecca Buser, 29, 810 Virginia Ave., Apt. A, Parkersburg, was arraigned on a charge of obstructing and released on a $1,500 personal recognizance bond.

* Matthew Shane Bailey, 33, care of 3709 Grand Central Ave., Vienna, was arraigned on a charge of receiving/transferring a stolen vehicle and released on a $5,000 surety bond.

* Dustin Michael Windland, 33, 14 Rolling Hills Court, Parkersburg, was arraigned on a charge of possession of a controlled substance, methamphetamine, with intent to deliver and bond was set at $35,000 surety.

* Jeremy Dean McConnell, 38, 852 Fairview Ave., Parkersburg, was arraigned on charges of second-offense shoplifting, possession of a controlled substance, shoplifting and trespassing and bond was set at $3,000.

* Kenneth Eugene Caplinger, 36, 1410 Grandview Manor, Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to second-offense driving on a license revoked for driving under the influence, reduced from third-offense driving on a license revoked for DUI as part of a plea agreement. He was sentenced to 12 months home confinement and assessed $1,170.25 in fines and court costs.

* Johnna Nicole McVey, 38, 2212 Tygart St., Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to possession of a controlled substance and a motor vehicle inspection violation and was sentenced to 90 days in jail, suspended for one year of unsupervised probation, and assessed $350.50 in fines and court costs. A second charge of possession of a controlled substance and a count of no seat belt were dismissed as part of a plea agreement.

* Everett Swiger Jr., 40, 443 Marrtown Road, Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to driving on a license revoked for DUI, reduced from second-offense driving on a license revoked for DUI as part of a plea agreement. He was sentenced to six months in jail, suspended for one year unsupervised probation, and assessed $270.25 in fines and court costs.

* Bryan Preston Aliff, 28, 4025 New England Ridge Road, Washington, W.Va., pleaded guilty to possession of a controlled substance, meth, and was sentenced to 90 days in jail, suspended for one year unsupervised probation. He was assessed $170.25 in fines and court costs.

* Michelle Dawn Gearheart, 45, 2412 Covert St. #45, Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to a charge of truancy and was assessed $270.25 in fines and court costs. A second count of truancy was dismissed as part of a plea agreement.

* Two counts of possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver were dismissed against Anna Vanevera, 66, 1811 Clegg St., Parkersburg.

* Michael Anthony Vanlue, 37, Washington, W.Va., pleaded guilty to domestic battery and was sentenced to 60 days in jail, suspended for one year unsupervised probation. He was also assessed $170.25 in court costs.

* Anna L. Slack, 23, 1812 Ninth Ave., Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to a charge of no personal flotation device on a kayak and was assessed $190.25 in fines and court costs.

* Carl Clinton Argabrite, 24, 1812 Ninth Ave., Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to a charge of no PFD on a kayak and was assessed $190.25 in fines and court costs.

* Keith Allen Starcher, 38, 193 Washington St., Elizabeth, pleaded guilty to failure to obey a traffic light and was assessed $175.25 in fines and court costs.
