Wood Magistrate

PARKERSBURG — Wood County Magistrate Court released the following reports Aug. 10:

* Austin James Parker, 21, 600 Sycamore Run Road, Mineral Wells, was arraigned on a charge of aiding and abetting kidnapping and held without bond. On July 8, he allegedly drove a vehicle into which a man was forced and held against his will before being left by the side of a road in Walker. The incident remains under investigation

* Christopher Michael Fowler, 27, 17 Hope Hill, Parkersburg, was arraigned on a fugitive from justice charge and held without bond, pending a hearing in Wood County Circuit Court.

* Calvin Lane Gibson II, 35, 669 Montgomery Hill Road, Walker, was arraigned on two counts of fraudulent schemes and one count each of conspiracy, third-offense shoplifting, fraudulent use of an access device, second-offense shoplifting and fugitive from justice charge. Bond was set at $200,000 surety, but he was held without bond on the fugitive charge, pending a hearing in Circuit Court.

* Joshua Alan Wendelken, 33, 72 Elm St., Davisville, pleaded guilty to possession of a controlled substance and was sentenced to six months in jail, suspended for two years unsupervised probation. He was also assessed $170.25 in court costs. A charge of possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver was dismissed as part of a plea agreement.

* Austin Michael-Dante Barnhart, 22, 2610 Braun Road, Belpre, pleaded guilty to petit larceny and was assessed $270.25 in fines and court costs. Charges of grand larceny and conspiracy were dismissed as part of a plea agreement.

* Probable cause was found during a preliminary hearing on a charge of receiving or transferring a stolen vehicle against James G. Lake, 32, 801 Pike St., Parkersburg, and the case was bound over to Circuit Court.

* Shane Michael Buchanan, 33, 407 Neal St., Parkersburg, waived a preliminary hearing on a charge of third-offense driving on a license revoked for driving under the influence, and the case was transferred to Circuit Court.

* Terry Wayne Giddings, 37, 1608 ¢ Latrobe St., Parkersburg, waived a preliminary hearing on a charge of grand larceny, and the case was bound over to Circuit Court.

* Mandi Nicole Connolly, 37, care of 413 Eighth St., Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to trespassing and was assessed $190.25 in fines and court costs.

* Ernest Wade Boley, 41, 436 Robinson Hill Road, Marietta, was arraigned on two counts of violating a domestic violence protection order and released on a $3,000 surety bond.

* Lorrie Ann Florence, 56, 1305 Blennerhassett Ave., Belpre, was arraigned on charges of violation of a protective order, public intoxication and failure to render fingerprints and released on a $3,000 surety bond.

* Dalton C. Drummond, 27, 1414 Jesterville Road, Parkersburg, was arraigned on charges of obstruction and possession of a controlled substance and released on a $2,000 personal recognizance bond.

* John Allen Donivan, 51, 448 Bisar St., Berkeley Springs, W.Va., was arraigned on charges of trespassing and disorderly conduct and released on a $600 personal recognizance bond.

* Christopher Thomas Maguire, 30, Vienna, was arraigned on a charge of domestic assault. Bond was set at $2,000, but he was held without bond on a bond violation.

* James Brindo, 41, Parkersburg, was arraigned on charges of domestic battery and disorderly conduct and released on a $2,000 surety bond.

* Jewleea Paige Talbert, 18, 483 Oak Hill Road, Elizabeth, was arraigned on charges of disorderly conduct and obstructing an officer and released on a $500 personal recognizance bond.

* James Grant Zirkle, 32, 880 Lucas Road, Shinnston, was arraigned on a charge of trespassing and released on a $500 personal recognizance bond.

* Justin Louis Haddad, 28, 644 Madison Ave., Parkersburg, was arraigned on a charge of felon in possession of a firearm and released on a $2,000 personal recognizance bond.

* Phillip Wayne Duley Sr., 45, 1301 Ridgeway Ave., Parkersburg, was arraigned on a charge of possession of a controlled substance, methamphetamine, with intent to deliver and held on a $25,000 surety bond.

* Amy Carol Bogard, 49, 1415 23rd St., Apt. 4, Parkersburg, was arraigned on a charge of speeding, 67 mph in a 55 mph zone, and released on a $500 personal recognizance bond.

* Samantha R. Miller, 25, 1411 Andrew St., Apt. A, Parkersburg, was arraigned on a charge of first-offense shoplifting and released on a $500 personal recognizance bond.

* Zachary K. Miller, 18, 1408 20th St., Parkersburg, was arraigned on a charge of creating/contributing to an open dump and released on a $1,000 personal recognizance bond.

* Lacey Renea Milstead, 27, 7323 Staunton Turnpike, Davisville, pleaded guilty to speeding and was assessed $190.25 in fines and court costs.

* Mary Jane Ball, 69, 2906 29th St., Apt. 2, Parkersburg, pleaded no contest to charges of driving on a suspended/revoked license, general, and no proof of insurance and was assessed $640.50 in fines and court costs.

* Nikki Rae Boso, 35, 4 Brown Ave., Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to passing in the center turn lane and was assessed $175.25 in fines and court costs.

* Delbert Ray Hall, 37, 1419 20th St., Parkersburg, pleaded no contest to driving on a suspended/revoked license, general, and was assessed $270.25 in fines and court costs.

PARKERSBURG — Wood County Magistrate Court released the following reports Aug. 11:

* John Brady Studenic, 33, 3534 Monongahela Ave., Parkersburg, was arraigned on charges of fleeing with reckless indifference, prohibited person in possession of a firearm, prohibited person in possession of a concealed firearm, use or presentation of a firearm during the commission of a felony and possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver. He was held on a $35,000 cash bond. According to a criminal complaint, Studenic was arrested Aug. 9 after wrecking his motorcycle during a police pursuit that began when he ran a red light at Seventh Street and Park Avenue in Parkersburg. During the chase, he was traveling at 90 mph in a 35 mph zone. After the wreck on Core Road, Studenic was taken into custody and found to be in possession of a loaded Taurus 9-millimeter handgun. Approximately 20.25 grams of suspected methamphetamine and 12.52 grams of marijuana were found inside one of the motorcycle’s saddlebags.

* Thomas Anthony Knights, 28, 810 Ashton St., Ravenswood, was arraigned on charges of driving on a license suspended for miscellaneous and no insurance and released on a $1,000 personal recognizance bond.

* Daniel Brozek Jr., 35, Pittsburgh, was arraigned on two counts each of domestic battery and child abuse and was released on a $4,000 surety bond.

* Adam Scott Jackson, 33, 4420 17th Ave., Parkersburg, was arraigned on two counts of possession of a controlled substance, fentanyl and methamphetamine, with intent to deliver and held on a $400,000 surety bond.

* Edgar Dale Kimes, 51, 38 Turnaround Road, Belleville, was arraigned on a charge of strangulation and released on a $25,000 surety bond.

* Byron Brent Meeks, 43, 1507 Lynn St., Parkersburg, was arraigned on a charge of receiving/transferring a stolen vehicle and was released on a $5,000 surety bond.

* Jessica Marie Devan, 33, 1909 36th St., Parkersburg, was arraigned on two counts of driving on a license suspended for miscellaneous and one count of defective equipment and released on a $1,000 personal recognizance bond.

* James Anthony Parker, 35, 115 Ferguson Drive, #A, Kings Mountain, N.C., pleaded guilty to a charge of speeding and was assessed $180.25 in fines and court costs.
