Wood Magistrate

PARKERSBURG — Wood County Magistrate Court released the following reports July 7:

* Chance Harold Everett Knoles, 25, Parkersburg, was arraigned on charges of child neglect and domestic battery and was released on a $2,000 bond. Knoles allegedly bit an 8-month-old child who was crying, saying he had not had much sleep.

* Katherine Butler, 53, 413 Eighth St., Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to trespassing and was assessed $270.25 in fines and court costs.

* John Coy King, 33, 801 Dickle Ave., Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to charges of obstructing an officer and first-offense shoplifting, was assessed $415.50 in fines and court costs and was ordered to pay a civil penalty of $62.56 to Walmart.

* Alan Keith Philpott Jr., 29, 113 Wildwood Drive, Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to charges of no operator’s license, no registration and operation without a certificate of inspection or failure to produce a certificate and was assessed $555.75 in fines and court costs. Charges of no insurance, speeding in a school zone and improper use of registration were dismissed as part of a plea agreement.

* Robert Kenneth Wilson, 68, 513 44th St., Vienna, pleaded guilty to driving under the influence with a blood-alcohol concentration greater than 0.15 and was sentenced to 29 days in jail with credit for 29 days served. He was assessed $345.25 in fines and court costs. A charge of driving a vehicle while in an impaired state was dismissed as part of a plea agreement. In a separate case, Wilson pleaded guilty to driving a vehicle while in an impaired state, was sentenced to 12 hours in jail with credit for 12 hours served and was assessed $345.25 in fines and court costs. The charge was reduced from the original count of DUI with a BAC greater than 0.15 as part of a plea agreement.

* Joshua Alan Bills, 44, Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to obstructing an officer and was sentenced to 30 days in jail, suspended for one year of unsupervised probation. He was also assessed $170.25 in court costs. A charge of domestic battery was dismissed against Bills after the alleged victim did not appear.

* Bryan Michael Hardman, 44, 1511 Ridgeway Ave., Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to disorderly conduct and was assessed $175.25 in fines and court costs.

* Tyler Wesley Carr, 29, Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to domestic battery and was sentenced to 60 days in jail, suspended for one year of unsupervised probation. He was assessed $170.25 in fines and court costs.

* Heather Marie Koffel, 43, 665 Calder Ridge Road, Belpre, pleaded guilty to disorderly conduct and was assessed $175.25 in fines and court costs. Charges of obstructing an officer and violation of a protective order condition of bail, probation or parole were dismissed as part of a plea agreement.

* Charges of fleeing from an officer, transporting stolen property into the state and receiving/transferring a stolen vehicle against Justin Lee Brown, 32, P.O. Box 132, Indore, W.Va., were bound over to Wood County Circuit Court after probable cause was found in a preliminary hearing.

* Keyshawn Darnelle Myles Gates, 19, 1233 Laffer Ave., Akron, was arraigned on a charge of possession of a controlled substance, methamphetamine, and released on a $2,000 surety bond.

* Trenton Allen Hutson, 18, 2708 ¢ Lenore St., Parkersburg, was arraigned on a charge of fleeing from an officer and released on a $1,500 surety bond.

* Brandi Nicole Mackey, 34, 706 Neal St., Parkersburg, was arraigned on a charge of possession of prescription medication and released on a $500 surety bond.

* Jessica Fay Parsons, 38, 136 Birnham Wood, Lot 5, Parkersburg, was arraigned on a charge of malicious wounding and released on a $5,000 bond.

* Mark Anthony Mills, 64, 4810 Ninth Ave., Parkersburg, was arraigned on a charge of violation of a protective order and released on a $500 personal recognizance bond.

PARKERSBURG — The Wood County Magistrate Court released the following reports July 23:

* Lindsay Rachelle Russell, 35, 270 Veto Circle, Belpre, pleaded guilty to driving impaired and was dismissed on a charge of possession of a controlled substance. She was sentenced to six months of jail, deferred and was credited to four days served.

* Nathan Charles Davis, 34, 2511 Division Street Ext., Parkersburg, was arraigned on a maintaining a dwelling charge and was released on $1,500 personal recognizance bond.

* William Conley Eads II, 40, 413 Eighth St., Parkersburg, was arraigned on a charge of violation of a protective order and was released on a $1,500 personal recognizance bond.

* Tor Lamant Hill, 26, 3711 12th Ave., Vienna, was arraigned on a charge of possession of marijuana and was released on a $1,500 surety charge.

* Randall Lewis Simmons, 35, 802 Seventh St. Apt. 4A, Parkersburg, was arraigned on a shoplifting charge and was assessed $195.25 in court fines.

* Edward H. Staats, 49, 1 Meadowcrest Drive, Parkersburg pleaded no contest to no inspection and no insurance.

PARKERSBURG — The following cases were heard in Wood County Magistrate Court on July 24:

* Probable cause was found against Mark Jason Brown, 1203 Mary St., Parkersburg, cited with wanton endangerment involving a firearm. The case was bound over to the Wood County Circuit Court.

* A citation of driving while revoked for DUI third-offense was dismissed against Chance Tyler Russell, 1402 Ridgeway Ave., Parkersburg. In a plea agreement, he pleaded guilty to driving while revoked for DUI second-offense, sentenced to home confinement for 12 months, fined $1,000 and assessed court costs. He was cited on May 18.

* Logan Skylar Haill, 115 South Hazel St., Washington, W.Va., waived a preliminary hearing on a charge of manufacturing, delivering and possessing a controlled drug. The case was bound over to circuit court.

* A warrant for the arrest of James A. Artis, 38, Point Pleasant, indicted in January in Gallia County, Ohio, on charges of possession of heroin and fentanyl, was transferred to circuit court. He was remanded to the regional jail.

* Eric Lamond Lane, 51,1202 19th St., Vienna, pleaded guilty to a citation of an expired license and was fined $10 and assessed court costs.

* Gina Nicole Hand, 50, 413 Eighth St. and 100 Dickel Ave., Parkersburg, was remanded to the regional jail in lieu of $5,000 bond on charges of receiving and transferring stolen property, a vehicle. She also was accused of disorderly conduct and obstructing an officer.

* Jackson L. Hennes, 51, 2280 Veto Road, Vincent, was released on $2,500 bond on citations of driving while impaired and failure to render information.

* Denver Ray Hoover, 57, 10251/2 Lakeview Drive, Parkersburg, pleaded no contest to possession of counterfeit with intent to utter and was sentenced to a year in jail, which was suspended, and fined $5 and assessed court costs and ordered to pay $100 restitution.

* Anthony Scott Powell, 35, 502 Thomas St., Parkersburg, was sentenced to 90 days in jail, suspended, on a charge of possessing a controlled substance without a valid prescription and was assessed court fees. A second charge of knowingly or intentionally possessing a controlled substance without a prescription was dismissed.

* Brian Allen Allman, 34, 34 Gardenia Drive, Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to violating a protective order and was sentenced to 90 days in jail, suspended, and fined $250 and assessed court costs. He was ordered to have no contact with the victim.

* Kadie Lynn Harding, 27, 501 32nd St., Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to obstructing an officer and was assessed court costs. A citation for fleeing from a police officer was dismissed.

* Nicholas Michael Bacorn, 20, 731 sycamore St., Belpre, pleaded guilty to possession of marijuana and was sentenced to 90 days in jail, suspended, and was assessed court costs.
