Wood Magistrate

PARKERSBURG — Wood County Magistrate Court released the following reports July 17:

* Brittany Marie Karcher, 33, 401 1/2 Marion St., Marietta, pleaded guilty to a charge of second-offense driving on a license suspended for miscellaneous, reduced from the original charge of third-offense driving on a license suspended from miscellaneous. She was assessed $270.25 in fines and court costs.

* Trent Douglas Heflin, 23, 163 Hammond Road, Fairmont, pleaded guilty to a charge of driving without a license and was assessed $220.50 in fines and court costs. A charge of driving on a suspended or revoked license was dismissed as part of a plea agreement.

* Harry Alexander Ellison, 28, 14 Penn Road, Mineral Wells, pleaded guilty to a charge of leaving the scene of an accident involving damage to a vehicle and was sentenced to 10 days in jail, suspended for six months of probation. He was also assessed $519.65 in court costs and restitution. Charges of improper registration and no insurance were dismissed as part of a plea agreement.

* Tabitha Jean Davis, 26, 804 Rayon Drive, Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to a charge of no child restraint and was assessed $180.25 in fines and court costs. A charge of speeding was dismissed as part of a plea agreement.

* Jeremy Dean Johnson, 28, care of Mt. Olive Correctional Center, waived a preliminary hearing on a charge of escape. The case was bound over to Wood County Circuit Court.

* Joseph Jack Burdette II, 41, Davisville, pleaded guilty to a charge of domestic assault and was sentenced to 12 months unsupervised probation, suspended for a 60-day substance abuse evaluation. He was also assessed $370.25 in court costs and restitution.

* Carissa Leann Lane-Farmer, 25, 2353 Meadowview Drive, Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to battery on a government employee and/or medical personnel, was sentenced to 30 days in jail and was assessed $170.25 in court costs. A charge of fleeing was dismissed as part of a plea agreement. In a separate case, Lane-Farmer pleaded guilty to shoplifting, was assessed $180.25 in fines and court costs and was ordered to pay a $50 civil penalty to Kroger.

* Brittany Marie Karcher, 33, 401 1/2 Marion St., Marietta, pleaded guilty to a charge of first-offense shoplifting, was assessed $195.25 in fines and court costs and was ordered to pay a $335.82 civil penalty to Walmart. Three worthless check counts were dismissed as part of a plea agreement.

* Brant Ryan Clendenin, 21, 3003 City View Drive, Apt. B, Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to a charge of underage consumption and was assessed $190.25 in fines and court costs. A charge of disorderly conduct was dismissed as part of a plea agreement.

* Jazmine Leigh Ferri, 19, 1134 Lynn St., Apt. B, Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to a charge of shoplifting, was assessed $220.25 in fines and court costs and was ordered to pay a $1,549.84 civil penalty to Walmart. A charge of obstructing an officer was dismissed as part of a plea agreement.

* Gina Nicole Hand, 50, 413 Eighth St., Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to assault and was sentenced to five months and 26 days in jail, already served. She was assessed $170.25 in court costs. The count was reduced from the original charge of assault on a government employee or medical personnel as part of a plea agreement. A charge of trespassing was dismissed as part of the agreement.

* Anthony Bryan Jackson, 32, 1006 Broadway Ave., Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to violation of a protective order, was sentenced to 27 days in jail already served and assessed $420.25 in fines and court costs.

* Michael Thomas Runyon, 30, 1609 Hill St., Belpre, pleaded guilty to shoplifting and possession of a controlled substance and was a deferred sentence and six months of probation. He was assessed $365.50 in fines and court costs and ordered to pay a $218 civil penalty to Kohl’s.

* Myra Michelle Bell, 43, Vienna, pleaded no contest to a charge of obstructing and was assessed $220.25 in fines and court costs. A charge of domestic battery was dismissed as part of a plea agreement.

* Noah Abraham Shockey, 22, 1204 16th St., Vienna, pleaded no contest to a charge of speeding and was assessed $210.25 in fines and court costs.

The Wood County Magistrate Court released the following reports July 20:

* Austin Lee Hayes, 19, 601 Stephenson Ave., Parkersburg, was arraigned on charges of failure to appear and grand larceny and is being held on a $5,000 surety bond.

* Joshua Alan Wendelken, 33, 278 Dickens Drive, Mineral Wells, was arraigned on possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver charge and was released on a $15,000 surety bond.

* Michelle D. Cyrus, 34, 2713 Norwood Ave., Parkersburg, was arraigned on charges of possession with intent to deliver, heroin and meth. She is being held on a $100,000 bond.

* Shawn M. Starcher, 32, 4407 Butler St., Parkersburg, was arraigned on charges of possession with intent to deliver narcotics and use of a firearm in commission of a felony. He is being held on a $100,000 bond.

* Shane Buchanan, 33, 407 Neal St., Parkersburg, was arraigned on charges of driving with a revoked license and a DUI and was released on a $10,000 surety bond.

* Shawn Demetrus Jones, 48, 413 Eighth St., Parkersburg, was arraigned on charges of obstructing an officer and disorderly conduct and was released on a $1,000 personal recognizance bond.

* Toni M. Packer, 28, 1003 13th Ave. Apt. 13, Vienna, was arraigned on a domestic battery charge and was released on a $2,000 surety bond.

* Christopher Michael Lauer, 31, 210 Cedar St., Marietta, was arraigned on a charge of no insurance and was released on a $500 personal recognizance bond.

* Paul Matthew Bailey, 21, 84 Rock Run Road, Walker, was arraigned on a charge of domestic battery and was released on a $500 personal recognizance bond.

* Shane Douglas Boyce, 21, 1204 Munday Road, Elizabeth, pleaded to no contest on an additional powers charge and was assessed $190.25 in court fines.

* Brandon L. Weimer, 31, 516 Bukey Ave., Williamstown, had a case transferred to Circuit Court on a fugitive from another state charge.

* Probable cause was found against Brian Christopher Hillabold, 36, 1322 Avery St., Parkersburg, on charges of manufacturing, delivering or possessing a controlled substance and unlawful manufacture, delivery or transfer or fentanyl.

* Joshua Eric Burkhart, 32, 655 Goose Run Rd., Marietta, pleaded guilty to obstructing an officer and was dismissed on a trespassing charge. He was assessed $220.25 in court fines.

* Emalee Victoria Keane, 19, 117 Centennial St., Geneva, pleaded guilty to speeding and a no insurance charge was dismissed. She was assessed $200.25 in court fines.

The Wood County Magistrate Court released the following reports July 21:

* Jubal Wesley Goff, 41, 3895 New England Ridge Road, Washington, pleaded no contest to speeding and was assessed $200.25 in court fines.

* Charges were bound to the Wood County Circuit Court after a preliminary hearing against Michael Joseph Doyle, 28, 2650 12th Ave., Parkersburg, on charges of child abuse resulting in injury and possession of fentanyl.

* Randall Lewis Simmons, 35, 802 7th St. Apt. 4A, Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to one count of shoplifting and another charge of shoplifting was dismissed. He was sentenced to six months of home confinement and was assessed $540.50 in court fines.

* A charge of strangulation without consent against Travis Shane McCune, 29, 807 38th St., Vienna, was dismissed on a charge of strangulation. The victim did not appear.

* Worthy Owens Davis IV, 41, 614 30th St., Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to domestic battery and disorderly conduct. Davis was sentenced to 60 days in jail, suspended for one year of probation and one year of counseling. They were dismissed on charges of obstructing, on charge of disorderly conduct and public intoxication. They were assessed $170.25 in court fines.

* Michael Douglas Johnson, 45, 615 Sherwood Forest Drive, Belleville, was arraigned on a charge of obstructing an officer and was released on a $500 personal recognizance bond.

* Keri Ann LaFatch, 42, 9516 Veto Road, Belpre, was arraigned on a worthless check charge and was released on a $200 personal recognizance bond.

* Joseph Tanner, 35, 2604 Pike St., Parkersburg, was arraigned on a violation of a protective order charge and was released on a $100 cash bond.

* Justin Ray Cline, 34, 1329 Chesterville Road, Mineral Wells, was arraigned on an aggravated DUI charge and was released on a $2,000 personal recognizance bond.

* James Michael Hendershot, 35, 4217 Camden Ave., Parkersburg, was arraigned on charges of open dumping and possession of a controlled substance, heroin, and was released on a $5,000 personal recognizance bond.
