Wood Magistrate

PARKERSBURG — Wood County Magistrate Court released the following reports May 21:

* Michael J. Weber, 36, 224 Oxford Place No. 2, Louisville, Ky., entered a deferred plea to a charge of first-offense possession of less than 15 grams of marijuana. He was placed on six months’ probation and assessed $170.25 in court costs. If the terms of probation are followed, the charge can be dismissed at the end of the period.

* Dezaray Lynn Roberts, 20, 500 13th St., Apt. 300, Parkersburg, entered a deferred plea to a charge of first-offense possession of less than 15 grams of marijuana. She was placed on six months’ probation and assessed $170.25 in court costs. If the terms of probation are followed, the charge can be dismissed at the end of the period. In a separate case, Roberts pleaded no contest to a charge of contributing to the delinquency of a child and assessed $220.25 in fines and court costs.

* Amanda Renee Vannest, 36, 366 New England River Road, Washington, W.Va., pleaded guilty to one count of telephone harassment and was assessed $170.25 in court costs. A charge of failure to appear was dismissed as part of a plea agreement.

* Joseph Byron Cain, 33, P.O. Box 77, Williamstown, pleaded guilty to one count of possession of a controlled substance and was assessed $195.25 in fines and court costs.

* Steven Mark Boise II, 34, 2552 Elizabeth Pike, Mineral Wells, pleaded guilty to second-offense driving on a license suspended for miscellaneous, a lesser included offense to the original charge of third-offense driving on a license suspended for miscellaneous. He was assessed $270.25 in fines and court costs. A charge of no insurance was dismissed as part of the plea agreement.

* Bryan Michael Vandergrift, 47, 1628 Ridgeway Ave., Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to possession of alcohol in an open container and was assessed $190.25 in fines and court costs.

* Charles Edward Persinger II, 31, 811¢ Belrock Ave., Apt. 9, Belpre, pleaded guilty to possession of a controlled substance and was sentenced to 90 days in jail, suspended for one year of unsupervised probation. He was assessed $170.25 in court costs.

* Miguel Angel Vazquez, 40, care of 2509 26th St., Parkersburg, waived a preliminary hearing on a charge of fleeing in a vehicle with reckless indifference. The case was bound over to Wood County Circuit Court.

* Emily Nicole Allman, 35, 23 Summit Road, Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor count of fraudulent use of an access device and was sentenced to six months in jail, suspended for one year of probation. She was assessed $170.25 in court costs and ordered to pay $150.80 in restitution. A felony count of fraudulent use of an access device was dismissed as part of a plea agreement.

* Thomas Bryan Moore Jr., 30, Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to domestic battery and was sentenced to 90 days in jail, with credit for time served. He was also assessed $170.25 in fines and court costs. A charge of child abuse was dismissed as part of a plea agreement.

* Dane Anthony Mason, 41, 708 Front St., Marietta, pleaded guilty to one count of obstructing and was sentenced to 12 months in jail, suspended for one year unsupervised probation. He was also assessed $170.25 in fines and court costs. A charge of disorderly conduct was dismissed as part of a plea agreement. In a separate case, Mason also pleaded guilty to one count of shoplifting, was assessed $180.25 in fines and court costs and was ordered to pay a civil penalty of $296 to Walmart.

* In five separate cases, Ryan Brett Francisco, 35, Washington, pleaded guilty to charges of domestic battery, failure to appear, no insurance, possession of a controlled substance, two counts of obstructing an officer and one count of battery of a government employee or medical personnel. He was sentenced to six months home confinement, six months reporting to the Day Report Center and 90 days home confinement, to be served consecutively. He also received two 30-day home confinement sentences to be served concurrently with the others. Two sentences of 90 days in jail were suspended for one year of unsupervised probation. He was assessed a combined $1,051.25 in fines and court costs. Charges of third-offense domestic battery, felony failure to appear, third-offense driving on a suspended license, no inspection, no proof of insurance and two counts of improper registration as part of plea agreements.

* David Michael Mullins, 22, 1515 Rayon Drive, Apt. B, Parkersburg, was arraigned on charges of driving on a license revoked for driving under the influence and no insurance and was released on a $1,000 personal recognizance bond.

* Michael Nickelson Deem, 44, 205 Hickory St., Parkersburg, was arraigned on a charge of violating a protection order and was released on a $1,000 personal recognizance bond.

* Norman Steven Looney Jr., 34, 918 Fourth Ave., Parkersburg, was arraigned on a charge of failure to return rental property and was released on a $1,500 personal recognizance bond.
