Wood Magistrate

PARKERSBURG — Wood County Magistrate Court heard the following cases on March 11:

* Amy McCleary, 41, 19 Brentwood Drive, Parkersburg, pleaded no contest to a charge of DUI; she was assessed $345.25 in court costs and fines.

* Paul Wright II, 48, 924 Swann St., Parkersburg, was dismissed on the charges of interference with officers and driving while revoked because the arresting officer failed to appear.

* Christopher Rogers, 28, 425 Washington Ave., Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to a charge of shoplifting; he was assessed $195.25 in court costs and fines and ordered to pay a $50 civil penalty to the victim.

* Herbert Swiney, 43, 52 Ohio St., Ravenswood, pleaded guilty to a charge of burning during restricted hours and was assessed $470.25 in court costs and fines.

* James Chandler, 37, 8 Palm Castle Drive, Port Orange, Florida, was dismissed on a charge of no proof of insurance and no proof of insurance because the citation was over a year old with no warrant.

* Sabrina Shute, 27, 14 North Ridgeview, apartment 13B, Ravenswood, pleaded guilty to a charge of driving too fast for roadway conditions; he was assessed $200.25 in court costs and fines.

* Joshua Wolfe, 26, 617 6th Ave., Parkersburg, was arraigned on a charge of possession of fentanyl with intent to deliver and was being held at the North Central Regional Jail on a $150,000 surety bond.

* James Broyles, 34, 1435 30th St., Parkersburg, was arraigned on a charge of assault and was released on a $1,000 personal recognizance bond.

* Johnna McVey, 37, 2212 Tygart St., Parkersburg, was arraigned on two counts of possession of a controlled substance, fraudulent motor vehicle inspection and no seatbelt; he was released on a $1,125 personal recognizance bond.

PARKERSBURG — Wood County Magistrate Court heard the following cases on March 12:

* Troy Schaefer, 43, 1031 32nd St., Vienna, was found not guilty on three counts of violation of a protective order by reason of mental illness.

* Maverik South, 20, 705 Riverfront Road, Coolville, was sentenced for possession of a controlled substance to six months of probation.

* Brandon Kern, 18, 810 23rd St., Vienna, was arraigned on a charge of second degree robbery and was being held at the North Central Regional Jail on a $50,000 surety bond. According to the criminal complaint, the defendant along with two juveniles entered 1100 12th St. Apartment 9, Vienna, and took personal items, including a wallet belonging to the victim, by force while presenting what the victim believed to be a firearm.
