Wood Magistrate

PARKERSBURG — Wood County Magistrate Court heard the following cases on Feb. 27:

* Joey Barnett, 36, 738 Washington Ave., Huntington, was arraigned on a charge of obstruction and released on a $500 personal recognizance bond.

* Jessica Drake, 32, 1808 Worthington St., Parkersburg, was arraigned on a charge of driving while suspended, a third offense and was released on a $1,000 personal recognizance bond.

* Alante Robinson, 30, 808 Virginia Ave., Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to a charge of domestic battery. Robinson was sentenced to one year of unsupervised probation and assessed $170.25 in court costs and fines.

* Austin Lamparter, 24, 107 Frederick Road, Auburn, was arraigned on a charge of grand larceny and was being held at the North Central Regional Jail on a $10,000 cash bond.

* Renate Triplett, 30, 820 Lenore St., Parkersburg, waived her preliminary hearing on a charge of manufacturing, delivery or possession with the intent to manufacture and deliver a controlled substance, heroin. This case has been bound over to Wood County Circuit Court for grand jury consideration.

* Robert Parker, 37, 517 Ellis Ave., Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to the charges of driving while licensed was revoked for DUI and no insurance; as part of a plea agreement he was dismissed on the charges of failure to obey traffic control device and improper registration. He was sentenced to six months of home confinement and assessed $640.50 in court costs and fines.

* Hunter Wiesenbaler, 19, 15 Steeler Lane, Montana Mines, West Virginia, pleaded guilty to a charge of possession of a controlled substance without a valid prescription and was assessed $195.25 in court costs and fines.

* Chad Fox, 32, 94 Willow Drive, Elizabeth, pleaded guilty to a charge of following too closely, two counts of driving too fast for roadway conditions, leaving the scene and failure to maintain control. He was dismissed on a charge of fleeing. He was assessed $881 and court costs and fines.

* Timothy Gregory, 33, 608 West Virginia Ave., Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to a charge of public intoxication and was assessed $220.25 in court costs and fines.

* Jacob Cox, 18, 1311 Board Run Road, Leroy, West Virginia, pleaded no contest to the charges of driving under the influence and unlawful acts of persons and was assessed $440.50 in court costs and fines.

* Joseph Jackson, 57, P.O. Box 3, Walker, pleaded guilty to a charge a violation of a protective order. He was sentenced to one year probation and assessed $430.25 in court costs and fines.

* Caleb Ware, 22, First Avenue, Apartment A, Nitro, pleaded guilty to a charge of violation of a protective order. He was sentenced to 90 days of home confinement and assessed $420.25 in court costs and fines.

* Seth Elam, 38, 1801 28th St., Vienna, pleaded guilty to two charges of possession of a controlled substance without a prescription, Adderall and methamphetamine. He was assessed $220.25 in court costs and fines.

* Julisa Brown, 22, 1205 Wilbur St., Apartment 10, Parkersburg, pleaded no contest to the charges of obstruction and destruction of property. She was assessed $170.25 in court costs and fines.

* Elizabeth Proffitt, 41, 1307 Broadway Ave., Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to a charge of issuing a worthless check. She was assessed $190.25 in court costs and fines and ordered to pay $99.70 in restitution to a victim.

* Lisa Whitehair, 50, P.O. Box 675, Mineral Wells, was given a not guilty verdict on two counts of battery.
