Wood Magistrate

PARKERSBURG — Wood County Magistrate Court heard the following cases on Feb. 19:

* Herbert Myles, 30, 3771 Ashton Road, Columbus, was arraigned on a charge of possession with intent to deliver, heroin, and he was being held at the North Central Regional Jail on a $10,000 cash bond.

* Allen Deem, 46, 1613 Spring St., Parkersburg, was arraigned on a charge of shoplifting and was released on a $250 personal recognizance bond.

* Jessica McGee, 32, State Route 681, Reedsville, Ohio, pleaded guilty to a charge of obstruction and was assessed $220.25 in court costs and fines.

* Herbert Boyles, 41, 501 32nd St., Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to charges of obstruction and battery and as part of a plea agreement was dismissed on charges of possession and fleeing from an officer. He was sentenced to 30 days in jail and was assessed $340.50 in court costs and fines.

* Joshua Campbell, 36, 1725 Latrobe St., Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to charges of shoplifting and obstruction and as part of a plea agreement was dismissed on a charge of public intoxication. He was sentenced to eight days in jail, ordered to pay a $1,000 civil penalty to the victim and assessed $355.50 in court costs and fines.

* Daniel Flanagan, 28, 1016 18th St. Apartment 3, Vienna, was arraigned on a charge of shoplifting and was released on a $500 personal recognizance bond.

* Joseph Phrase, 53, 139 Ash Circle, Davisville, pleaded guilty to a charge of issuing a worthless check and was assessed $200.25 in court costs and fines and $28.80 in restitution.

* David Barnes, 46, 1600 Pike St., Apartment 19, Parkersburg, was dismissed on charges of strangulation of another without their consent and attempting to commit an offense; but probable cause was found on a charge of retaliation against a public official; the case has been bound over to Wood County Circuit Court for grand jury consideration.

* Matthew Deem, 37, 1410 Hocking Road, Belpre, waived his preliminary hearing on a charge of false pretenses and his case has been bound over to Wood County Circuit Court for grand jury consideration.

* Mark Edward Lee, 42, 694 Winding Road, Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to a charge of operation of a vehicle without registration and fraudulent motor vehicle inspection. As part of a plea agreement he was dismissed on a charge of no insurance. He was assessed $365.50 in court costs and fines.

* Amber James, 28, 2335 26th Place, Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to a charge of approaching an emergency vehicle. As part of a plea agreement she was dismissed on the charges of driving while revoked and no insurance. She was assessed $220.25 in court costs and fines.

* Ryan Sullivan, 26, of Deer Ridge Road, Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to a charge of assault. As part of a plea agreement he was dismissed on a charge of domestic battery. He was sentenced to 30 days of unsupervised probation and assessed $225 in court costs and fines.

* Christopher Sams Jr., 22, 2505 21st Ave., Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to a charge of public intoxication; as part of a plea agreement he was dismissed on a charge of disorderly conduct. He was assessed $175.45 in court costs and fines.

* Roderick Eugene Drain II, 37, 1805 Erie St., Parkersburg, was dismissed on charges of driving while suspended or revoked and expired registration because the arresting officer failed to appear.

* Todd Benson, 38, 1110 Washington St., Ravenswood, pleaded guilty to a charge of driving while suspended or revoked and was assessed $270.25 in court costs and fines.

* James Windland, 48, 1301 16th St., Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to charges of unplugged shotgun for waterfowl and no federal mandatory stamp. He was assessed $380.50 in court costs and fines.

* Amanda Phillips, 28, 1713 Staunton Ave., Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to a charge of unlawful injury to or destruction of property. As part of a plea agreement she was dismissed on a charge of trespassing. She was sentenced to 14 days in jail and assessed $190.25 in court costs and fines.

* James Little, 26, 39 Opal Lane, Davisville, was dismissed on a charge of driving too fast for roadway conditions and unsafe and improperly equipped vehicle, because the officer failed to appear.

* William Johnson, 47, 62 Jo Mar Drive, Parkersburg, was arraigned on a charge of aggravated driving while impaired and was being held at the North Central Regional Jail on a $2,500 surety bond.

* Alannah Kiser, 35, 290 Miquela Lane, Charleston, was dismissed on charges of driving while suspended or revoked and no certificates of insurance because the citation was over a year old.

* Adam Smith, 27, 1601 16th St., Parkersburg, pleaded no contest to a charge of operating without inspection and was dismissed on a charge of expired registration after providing proof of new registration. He was assessed $175.25 in court costs and fines.

* Derek Derick Lanning, 38, 608 Gladston St., Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to a charge of domestic battery. He was sentenced to unsupervised probation for one year and assessed $170.25 in court costs and fines.
