Wood Magistrate

PARKERSBURG — Wood County Magistrate Court heard the following cases on Jan. 30:

* Larry Freed, 43, P.O. Box 3744, Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to a charge of violation of a protective order; he was sentenced to one year probation and assessed $390.25 in court costs and fines.

* Katie Gibson, 29, 823 25th St., Vienna, pleaded guilty to a charge a battery on a government employee and as part of a plea agreement was dismissed on a charge of obstruction. She was sentenced to 60 days of home confinement and assessed $170.25 in court costs and fines.

* Timothy Caplinger, 34, 112 Whispering Pines Court, Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to charges of public intoxication and obstruction; as part of a plea agreement he was dismissed on a charge of disorderly conduct. He was assessed $390.50 in court costs and fines and was sentenced to one year of probation.

* Ivan Patterson Jr., 29, 104 Riley Drive Apartment 1, Marietta, pleaded guilty to a charge of domestic battery and was sentenced to six months probation, six months Day Reporting Center and six months of attending once a week AA meetings. He was assessed $170.25 in court costs and fines.

* Mark Brown, 31, Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to a charge of fleeing and domestic battery; he was sentenced to 90 days in jail and assessed $390.50 in court costs and fines.

* Autumn Baker, 30, 150 Camelot Road Lot 27, Belpre, pleaded guilty to the charges of speeding and driving while suspended or revoked; she was assessed $465.50 in court costs and fines.

* Emily Prosca, 22, 1211 Williams St., Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to a charge of unlawful injury to or destruction of property; she was sentenced to six months of probation, assessed $190.25 in court costs and fines and ordered to pay $384.79 in restitution to the victim.

* Emily Spangler, 25, 3168 Cow Creek Road, St. Marys, pleaded guilty to a charge of shoplifting; she was ordered to pay a civil penalty of $395.92 to the victim and was assessed $195.25 in court costs and fines.

* Bernard Lemley Jr., 36, 2519 Jericho Road, Walker, pleaded guilty to the charges of unlawful injury to or destruction of property and petit larceny. He was sentenced to two years probation, assessed $170.25 in court costs and fine and ordered to pay $1,500 in restitution to the victim. Lemley also pleaded guilty in another case to the charge of unlawful injury to or destruction of property, and as part of a plea agreement was dismissed on another charge of petit larceny. He was sentenced to two years probation, to run consecutively with the previous case, assessed $170.25 in court costs and fines and must pay $1,600 in restitution to the victim. He also pleaded guilty in a third case to another charge of unlawful injury to or destruction of property; as part of a plea agreement he was dismissed on another charge of petit larceny. He was sentenced to two years probation to run consecutively with the above cases, was assessed $170.25 in court costs and fines and ordered to pay $1,900 in restitution to the victim. Lemley had been observed by a surveillance video of the Speedy Wash Laundromat on Seventh Street using an object to pry money boxes of the washers and dryers, doing extensive damage to the machines and removing at least one of the money boxes and emptying an unknown amount of change into his pocket.

* Katy Cline, 31, 27 400 State Route 7 lot 3, Marietta, pleaded guilty to a charge of leaving the scene and was assessed $195.25 in court costs and fines.

* Eric Greynolds, 36, 1508 19th St., Parkersburg, was arraigned on a charge of possession of a controlled substance without a prescription and shoplifting; he was released on a $1,000 personal recognizance bond.

PARKERSBURG — Wood County Magistrate Court heard the following cases Jan. 31:

* Glenn Rodger Johnson Jr., 33, 116 Harmar St., Marietta, was arraigned on charges of failure to appear, obstruction and possession of a controlled substance; he was being held at the North Central Regional Jail on a $1,500 surety bond.

* Brian Minks, 38, 750 Rubel Ave., Belpre, was arraigned on a charge of manufacturing, delivery or possession with the intent to manufacture or deliver a controlled substance, methamphetamine, and was being held at the North Central Regional Jail on a $10,000 surety bond.

* Ashley Moore, 27, 209 Masonic Park Road, Marietta, was arraigned on a charge of possession of a stolen vehicle and was being held at the North Central Regional Jail on a $5,000 surety bond.

* Kenneth Allen Bay, 31, 907 Neale St. Apartment 1, Parkersburg, was arraigned on a charge of manufacture, delivery or possession with the intent to manufacture or deliver a controlled substance, methamphetamine, and was being held at the North Central Regional Jail on a $15,000 surety bond.

* Nora Kline, 45, of Parkersburg, was arraigned on a charge of domestic battery and was released on a $2,000 surety bond.
