Wood Magistrate

PARKERSBURG — Wood County Magistrate Court heard the following cases on Jan. 22:

* Justin Haynes, 30, 206 Mongolia Ave., Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to a charge of DUI and was sentenced to four hours of jail and assessed $345.25 in court costs and fines.

* Rodney Wiseman, 45, 3870 West Fourth St., Cleveland, was dismissed on a charge of receiving or transferring a stolen vehicle because the victim no longer wishes to prosecute.

* Benjamin Kuhn, 30, 1001 Olive St., Parkersburg, was dismissed on a charge of driving while revoked for DUI because the arresting officer failed to appear.

* Lisa Taylor, 33, 1308 Myrtle St., Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to a charge of obstruction; she was sentenced to 90 days of unsupervised probation and assessed $270.25 in court costs and fines.

* Melvin Jessop, 54, 1009 Lynn St., Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to a charge of violation of a protective order; he was sentenced to 30 days in jail and assessed $420.25 in court costs and fines.

* Oliver Smith, 50, 714 Sixth St., St. Marys, pleaded guilty to a charge of obstruction; he was sentenced to time served and assessed $170.25 in court costs and fines. As part of a plea agreement he was dismissed on a charge of trespassing.

* Ares Harlan, 32, 2212 36th St. Apartment J, Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to a charge of shoplifting; he was assessed $205.25 in court costs and fines and ordered to pay an $83.38 civil penalty to the victim.

* Brandon Harvey, 34, 6326 Lees Creek Road, Belleville, pleaded guilty to a charge of driving while suspended or revoked and was assessed $270.25 in court costs and fines.

* David Thomas, 22, 601 Nicely Ave., Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to a charge of driving while suspended or revoked, a second offense. As part of a plea agreement he was dismissed on a charge of no insurance. He was assessed $270.25 in court costs and fines. In a separate case Thomas was dismissed on a charge of driving while license revoked for DUI and driving while suspended or revoked because the arresting officer failed to appear.

* Gary Grimm, 45, P.O. Box 85, Ripley, pleaded guilty to a charge of shoplifting; he was assessed $205.25 in court costs and fines and ordered to pay a $116.24 civil penalty to the victim.

* Holli Parsons, 35, 1105 13th St., Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to a charge of possession of a controlled substance without a prescription; she was sentenced to 90 days of unsupervised probation and was assessed $170.25 in court costs and fines.

PARKERSBURG — Wood County Magistrate Court heard the following cases on Jan. 24:

* Nathan Stollings, 56, 2795 Meadowview Drive, Parkersburg, was arraigned on a charge of driving while revoked for DUI and possession of a controlled substance; he was released on a $1,000 personal recognizance bond.

* Anthony Marks, 34, 219 Wagner St., Grantsville, was arraigned on a charge of driving while impaired and was released on a $2,500 personal recognizance bond.

* Eric Perkins, 38, 608 Pike St., Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to a charge of failure to appear; he was sentenced to one year probation and assessed $170.25 in court costs and fines.

* Daryl Mowery, 38, P.O. Box 544, Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to a charge of possession of a controlled substance without prescription. He was sentenced to one year probation and assessed $195.25 in court costs and fines.

* Alan Kiefer, 44, 209 Locust Drive, Mineral Wells, pleaded guilty to a charge of operating without inspection and was assessed $175.25 in court costs and fines.

* Andrew Beckett, 41, 305 Washington Drive, Mineral Wells, pleaded guilty to a charge of expired registration and was assessed $280.25 in court costs and fines.

* Bernard Waller, 30, 21609 Bennett St., Detroit, Mich., pleaded guilty to a charge of providing a structure or place for the use of a controlled substance by another. He was sentenced to six months in jail and assessed $170.25 in court costs and fines.

* Robert Patterson, 38, 420 12th St., Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to a charge of destruction of property and as part of a plea agreement was dismissed on a charge of destruction of property. He was sentenced to unsupervised probation for one year, assessed $170.25 in court costs and fines and ordered to pay $710.40 in restitution to the victim.

* Blain Enoch, 56, 308 29th St., Vienna, pleaded guilty to a charge of driving while revoked for DUI; he was sentenced to 90 days of home confinement and assessed $270.25 in court costs and fines. As part of a plea agreement he was dismissed on a charge of no seatbelt.

* Crystal Larrison, 36, 2109 Benedict Road, Fleming, pleaded guilty to a charge of obstruction and possession of a controlled substance without a prescription; she was sentenced to time served, 13 days, and assessed $440.50 in court costs and fines.

* Zohn Kelly, 29, 1332 Latrobe St., Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to a charge of obstruction and was sentenced to time served, 14 days, and assessed $170.25 in court costs and fines.

* Edward Davis, 35, 2511 Division St., Parkersburg, was arraigned on a charge of possession with intent to deliver, heroin, and prohibited persons in possession of a firearm. He was being held at the North Central Regional Jail on a $150,000 surety bond.

* Meighan Davis, 27, 2511 Division St., Parkersburg, was arraigned on charge of keeping or maintaining a dwelling for the use of another of a controlled substance and was being held at the North Central Regional Jail on a $5,000 surety bond.
