Wood Magistrate

PARKERSBURG — Wood County Magistrate Court heard the following cases on Jan. 15:

* Stephen Gray, 38, 413 Eighth St., Parkersburg, waived his preliminary hearing on a charge of destruction of property and his case has been bound over to Wood County Circuit Court for grand jury consideration.

* Daniel Dunn, 25, 240 Viscoe Road, Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to a charge of unlawful acts of licensees and was assessed $245.25 in court costs and fines.

* Derick Whiting, 38, 45696 Summit Ave., Caldwell, pleaded no contest to the charges of no W.Va. apportionment and no fuel decal. He was assessed $395.50 in court costs and fines.

* William Owens, 24, 1002 23rd St., number 13, Parkersburg, was arraigned on the charges of driving while suspended, a second offense, and no proof of insurance. He was released on a $500 personal recognizance bond.

* Michael Allman, 36, Parkersburg, was arraigned on the charges of domestic assault and domestic battery after allegedly chasing a family member with a knife who intervened on an assault of another family member. He was released on a $2,000 surety bond.

* Ronald Franklin, 25, 87 Power Ave., Parkersburg, was arraigned on a charge of driving while impaired and was released on a $2,500 personal recognizance bond.

* Ann Stephanie, 27, 6858 Pike St., Apartment 22, Mineral Wells, was arraigned on a charge of obstruction and was released on a $1,000 personal recognizance bond.

* Andrew DryBurgh, 37, 151 Pine St., Mineral Wells, was arraigned on three charges of violation of a protection order and was released on a $1,500 personal recognizance bond.

* Robert Stemple, 45, homeless, of Parkersburg, was arraigned on a charge of breaking and entering of AVI Foods at 1009 Division St.; he was being held at the North Central Regional Jail on a $10,000 surety bond.

* Crystal Jones, 39, homeless, of Parkersburg, was arraigned on a charge of breaking and entering of AVI Foods at 1009 Division St.; he was being held at the North Central Regional Jail on a $10,000 surety bond.

PARKERSBURG — Wood County Magistrate Court heard the following cases on Jan. 16:

* Martin Gibson, 55, 1409 Andrew St., Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to a charge of driving while suspended or revoked and was assessed $270.25 in court costs and fines.

* Jennifer Metz, 32, 1108 Camden Ave., Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to a charge of speeding and was assessed $175.25 in court costs and fines.

* Jamie Pierce, 43, 4310 11th Ave. Apartment 2, Parkersburg, was dismissed on a charge of possession of methamphetamine because the state does not wish to prosecute at this time.

* Christopher Grinter, 33, 122 Victory St., Parkersburg, was dismissed on a charge of strangulation without prejudice because the alleged victim failed to appear.

* Jacob Marshall, 25, 3187 Anderson Road, Fleming, pleaded no contest to driving while license suspended or revoked and was assessed $270.25 in court costs and fines.

* Ricky Salyers II, 28, 489 Carpenter Lane, Waverly, pleaded guilty to a charge of petit larceny and was assessed $170.25 in court costs and fines.

* Michael Donahue, 42, 61 Kings Row, Parkersburg, waived his preliminary hearing on two charges of manufacturing, delivery or possession with the intent to manufacture and deliver a controlled substance and his case has been bound over to the Wood County Circuit Court for grand jury consideration.

* Matthew Parsons, 35, 30 Maple Drive, Williamstown, pleading guilty to a charge of obstruction and was assessed $270.25 in court costs and fines. As part of a plea agreement he was dismissed on a charge of assault of a government employee.

* Morgan Monroe, 20, Worthington Lane, Parkersburg, was dismissed without prejudice on a charge of domestic battery because the alleged victim did not wish to prosecute.

* Guy Boggs Jr., 64, 15th Street, Vienna, was dismissed without prejudice on charge of domestic battery because the alleged victim failed to appear.

* Chadrick Parsons, 45, 16 Meadowbrook Acres, Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to the charges of fleeing from an officer, no insurance and driving while revoked, a third offense. As part of a plea agreement he was dismissed on a charge of possession of a controlled substance and defective equipment. He was sentenced to 15 days in jail and assessed $910.75 in court costs and fines.

* Bret Reeder, 42, 1003 13th Ave., Vienna, pleaded guilty to the charges of DUI and obstruction. As part of a plea agreement he was dismissed on the charges of driving while revoked and failure to render information; he was assessed $565.50 in court costs and fines and was sentenced to time served, 49 days.
