Wood Magistrate
PARKERSBURG — Wood County Magistrate Court heard the following cases on Jan. 10:
* Norman Holcomb Jr., 57, 2800 Beech Drive, Belpre, was arraigned on two counts of sexual assault by a parent or guardian after allegedly using a massager and his hands to touch two female juvenile’s genitals. He was released on a $30,000 surety bond.
* Stephen Cunningham, 46, 4506 Butler St. Apartment 3, Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to the charge of indecent exposure; he was sentenced to time served and assessed $170.25 in court costs and fines.
* Tristan Persinger, 23, 1304 Ramsey St., Parkersburg, was arraigned on a charge of receiving or transferring a stolen vehicle and altering the serial number; he was being held at the North Central Regional Jail on a $50,000 surety bond.
* Eric Dylan, 29, 1516 Lynn St., Parkersburg, was arraigned on charges of burglary and receiving or transferring stolen property. According to the criminal complaint, he broke into a home at 1231 20th St. and took some items. He was seen on Facebook allegedly selling the victim’s property a day after the crime occurred, which was Sept. 12, 2019. He was released on a $12,000 surety bond.
* Matthew Cornell, 35, 1417 Lynn St., Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to three counts of driving while suspended or revoked and one count of driving under the influence. As part of a plea agreement he was dismissed on charges of no registration, no seatbelt, failure to maintain control, no insurance and improper use of registration. He was assessed $1,055.75 in court costs and fines.
* Probable cause was found in a case against Jennifer Edwards, 37, 1333 Lynn St., Parkersburg, on a charge of attempt to commit arson and was dismissed on a charge of cruelty to animals. Her case has been bound over to the Wood County Circuit Court for grand jury consideration.
* Dasia Cunningham, 23, 3932 Eighth Ave., Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to a charge of child passenger safety devices required and as part of a plea agreement was dismissed on a charge of operation of vehicles without registration; she was assessed $180.25 in court costs and fines.
* James Hovis, 31, 1149 Millstone Road, Jane Lew, W.Va., pleaded no contest to a charge of no seat belt to use and failure to obey traffic control devices and was assessed $200.25 in court costs and fines.
* Anthony Whitson, 31, 67 Buckeye Ridge Road, Rochester Hills, Ohio, pleaded guilty to a charge of trespassing and was assessed $175.25 in court costs and fines.
* Gina Hand, 51, homeless, was arraigned on the charges of disorderly conduct and trespassing; she was being held at the North Central Regional Jail on a $1,000 personal recognizance bond.
* Michelle Wine, 36, 368 Valley Manor Lane, Williamstown, pleaded guilty to a charge of speeding and was assessed $180.25 in court costs and fines; as part of a plea agreement she was dismissed on a charge of no proof of insurance.
* Ty Willis, 19, 166 Rising Sun Road, Walker, pleaded guilty to a charge of speeding and was assessed $180.25 in court costs and fines.
* Nicholas Bacorn, 20, 731 Sycamore St. Apartment 1000c, Belpre, was arraigned on a charge of possession of marijuana and was released on a $500 personal recognizance bond.
* Jeremy Allen, 29, 814 Race St., Parkersburg, waived his preliminary hearing on charges of fleeing from an officer and receiving or transferring a stolen vehicle; his case has been bound over to the Wood County Circuit Court for grand jury consideration.
