Wood Magistrate

PARKERSBURG — Wood County Magistrate Court heard the following cases on Dec. 18:

* Megan George, 28, 413 Eighth St., Parkersburg, was arraigned on a charge of receiving or transferring a stolen vehicle and destruction of property; she was being held at the North Central Regional Jail on a $6,500 surety bond.

* Ryan Walters, 35, 1805 20th St., Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to a charge of improper use of registration and was assessed $190.25 in court costs and fines.

* James Croston, 42, of Chesterville, Ohio, was arraigned on charges of domestic assault and receiving or transferring stolen property; he was being held at the North Central Regional Jail on a $2,000 surety bond.

* Brittieny Barcus, 32, 1030 24th St. Apartment two, Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to a charge of disorderly conduct and was sentenced to eight hours of jail and assessed $180.25 in court costs and fines. As part of a plea agreement she was dismissed on a charge of public intoxication.

* Bobbie Haynes, 36, 3019 Laurel Creek Road, Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to a charge of trespassing and was assessed $180.25 in court costs and fines.

* Kelly Mehurin, 43, 2305 16th Ave. Apartment 9, Vienna, pleaded guilty to a charge of no vehicle insurance; she was sentenced to six months probation and assessed $370.25 in court costs and fines.

* Jillian Zimmerman, 18, 708 Olive St., Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to a charge of accidents involving damage to vehicle and no insurance. She was sentenced to six months of probation and was assessed $690.75 and court costs and fines. As part of a plea agreement she was dismissed on the charge of unlawfully operating a vehicle without valid registration card.

* Jason Stollings, 45, 1721 Park St., Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to the charge of knowingly or intentionally possession of a controlled substance without a valid prescription; he was sentenced to one year of probation and assessed $170.25 in court costs and fines. As part of a plea agreement he was dismissed on charges of bicycle with no headlamp, bicycle with no tail reflector and bicycle with no brakes.

* Eric Nelson, 40, 461 Washington Drive, Mineral Wells, pleaded guilty to a charge of obstruction; he was sentenced to one year probation and assessed $170.25 in court costs and fines. As part of a plea agreement he was dismissed on a charge of possession of a controlled substance without a valid prescription, methamphetamine. In a separate case Nelson also pleaded guilty to a charge of driving while suspended or revoked, no insurance, receiving or transferring stolen goods. He was assessed $610.75 in court costs and fines and sentenced to one year probation. As part of a plea agreement he was dismissed on a charge of operating without inspection.

* Roderick Pettis, 31, 3911 Sayre Ave. apartment one, Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to a charge of driving while suspended a second offense and was assessed $670.25 in court costs and fines.

PARKERSBURG — The Wood County Magistrate Court heard the following cases on Dec. 19:

* Marlene Roberts, 40, 211 Central City Road, Parkersburg, was arraigned on a charge of driving while suspended and failure to obey stop signs; she was released on $1,500 personal recognizance bond.

* Amanda Smith, 36, 25 Starling Drive, St. Marys, was arraigned on a charge of failure to stop and no proof of insurance and was released on $1,000 personal recognizance bond.

* Eric Vest, 40, 1107 32nd St. Apartment 5, Parkersburg, was arraigned on a charge of possession of a controlled substance without prescription and bond was set at $1,000 surety.

* Roderick Drain II, 37, 1805 Erie St., Parkersburg, was arraigned on charges of driving while suspended and expired registration and was released on $1,000 personal recognizance bond.

PARKERSBURG — The following cases appeared in Wood County Magistrate Court on Dec. 20:

* Catherine Elizabeth Eddy, 63, 21 Dudley Drive, Middlebourne, was arraigned on charges of battery of a health care worker and trespassing and was released on $600 bond.

* Harvey Eugene Metz, 61, 1013 East 12th St., Parkersburg, was arraigned on charges of driving under the influencce and possession of a controlled substance and was released on $600 bond.

* David Glenn Hall, 59, 2708 Linden Ave., Parkersburg, was arraigned on charges of driving under suspension and no insurance and was released on $1,000 bond.
