Wood Magistrate

PARKERSBURG — Wood County Magistrate Court heard the following cases Oct. 17:

* Keshawn Gates, 18, 1233 Lafayette Ave., Akron, was arraigned on a charge of possession with intent to deliver, heroin, and was being held at the North Central Regional Jail on a $200,000 surety bond.

* Brittany Bell, 29, 502 Elm St., Belpre, was arraigned on a charge of possession with intent to deliver, methamphetamine, and was being held at the North Central Regional Jail on a $200,000 surety bond.

* Jud Burke, 28, 35 Aqua Circle, Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to destruction of property; he was sentenced to nine months in jail, assessed $170.25 in court costs and fines and ordered to pay $350 in restitution to the victim.

* Jason Pearson, 22, 1724 Seventh St., Parkersburg, waived his preliminary hearing on a third offense shoplifting charge and his case has been bound over to Wood County Circuit Court for grand jury consideration.

* Natasha Lemley, 26, 91 Old Cedar Grove Road, Parkersburg, waived her preliminary hearing on a charge of grand larceny and her case has been bound over to Wood County Circuit Court for grand jury consideration.

* Calyn Greathouse, 21, 238 Jo Mar Drive, Parkersburg, was arraigned on a third offense of driving while suspended charge and was released on a $500 personal recognizance bond.

* Amber Gates, 29, 49 Brown Ave. Apartment D, Parkersburg, was arraigned on charges of no registration, no insurance and no operator’s; she was released on a $500 personal recognizance bond.

PARKERSBURG — The following cases appeared in Wood County Magistrate Court on Oct. 18:

* Benjamin Scott Carpenter, 34, 811 Dickel Ave., Parkersburg, was arraigned on a second-offense charge of shoplifting less than $500 and a second-offense charge of shoplifting greater than $500 and bond was set at $2,500.

* Timothy Jon Knotts, 52, 2807 17th Ave., Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to battery of a government employee or medical personnel and was sentenced to six months jail. He pleaded guilty to obstructing and was sentenced to six months jail suspended for one year of probation. He also pleaded guilty to fleeing from an officer and was sentenced to six months jail suspended for one year of probation. The sentences run consecutively and he was assessed $510.75 in court costs.

* Tristen Ray Sutton, 22, 914 Fourth Ave., Parkersburg, waived preliminary hearing on two counts of possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver and the case was bound over to Wood County Circuit Court.

* Carrie Deann Queen, 21, Parkersburg, was arraigned on a petit larceny charge and was released on $1,000 bond.

* Jessamine Lou Wass, 38, Washington, W.Va., had charges of domestic battery and child abuse creating risk of bodily injury dismissed due to the state not being able to contact the alleged victim.

* Lindsay Rachelle Russell, 34, 270 Veto Road, Belpre, was arraigned on charges of driving under the influence and possession of controlled substance and bond was set at $2,500 bond.

* Joey Allen Barnett, 37, 523 West Main St., Spencer, was arraigned on two counts of fraudulent use of an access device and one count of conspiracy to use an access device and was released on $2,500 bond.

* Bryan Matthew Nedeff, 41, Davisville, was arraigned on a burglary charge.

* Charles Ryan Cottle, 28, 1324 Broadway Ave., Parkersburg, was arraigned on charges of destruction of property, brandishing and public intoxication and was released on $3,000 bond.

* Matthew Lee Wilson, 31, 1114 Madison Ave., Charleston, was arraigned on two counts of grand larceny and one count of receiving/transferring stolen property and bond was set at $35,000.

* Chaz Steven Howard, 25, P.O. Box, 423, Waverly, was arraigned on charges of burglary, driving under suspension and possession of a controlled substance and was released on $6,000 bond.
