Wood Magistrate

PARKERSBURG — Wood County Magistrate Court heard the following cases on May 15:

* James Hanus, 32, 975 Ripple Ridge CV, Darien, Illinois, pleaded guilty to speeding 79 mph in a 65 mph zone.

* Quincy Alex Lewis, 34, 1711 Oak St., Parkersburg, had his preliminary hearing waived on a charge of manufacturing, delivering or possession with the intent to manufacture or deliver heroin; his case has been bound over to Wood County Circuit Court for grand jury consideration.

* Tammy Patterson, 44, 777 DeVaughn Road, Walker, was arraigned for using a cell phone while driving and expired operator’s license. She was released on a $500 personal recognizance bond.

* Eric Whitlatch, 49, 4416 17th Ave., Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to petit larceny and as part of a plea agreement was dismissed on a charge of entry of a building other than a dwelling. He was assessed $160.25 in court costs and fines and was sentenced to six months at the North Central Regional Jail.
