Wood Magistrate

PARKERSBURG — Wood County Magistrate Court heard the following cases on Jan. 9.

* Brian Keith Parker, 41, 8689 Grove Hill Road, Rockford, Ill., was arraigned for driving while impaired and released on a $2,500 surety bond.

* Charles Brian Davis, 43, 2905 Beeman Road, Washington, was arraigned on charges of worthless check and false pretense and released on a $10,000 surety bond.

* Anthony A. Leak, 32, 1505 Washington Ave., Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to fleeing from an officer and as part of a plea agreement was dismissed on a charge of petit larceny. He was assessed $210.25 in court costs and fines.

* Brandi Leann Shirley, 32, 8385 Charleston Road, Ripley, pleaded guilty to driving while suspended and as part of a plea agreement was dismissed on a charge of improper registration. She was assessed $360.25 in court costs and fines.

* Jeffrey W. Davis, 44, 447 South Chestnut St., Clarksburg, pleaded guilty to violation of a protective order and was assessed $360.25 in court costs and fines.

* James Edward Arnold, 44, 66 Hill Ave., Parkersburg, was dismissed for driving while revoked for a DUI after the officer failed to appear.

* Jennifer Ann Metz, 29, 1108 Camden Ave., Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to driving while suspended or revoked and as part of a plea agreement was dismissed on a charge of no insurance. She was assessed $260.25 in court costs and fines.

* Michael Thomas Runyan, 29, 1609 Hill St., Apartment 10, Belpre, was arraigned on the charge of shoplifting and released on a $500 personal recognizance bond.

* Timothy Wayne Workman, 33, homeless, of Parkersburg, was arraigned on charges of obstruction and trespassing and released on a $2,000 personal recognizance bond.

* Joshua Lee Bays, 39, 611 Ward Place, Apartment 3, Parkersburg, was dismissed on two charges of petit larceny because the state no longer wished to pursue.

* James Francis Beck Jr., 34, 1016 18th St., Vienna, pleaded guilty to charges of shoplifting and possession of a controlled substance without a prescription, methamphetamine; as part of a plea agreement he was dismissed on another charge of possession of a controlled substance, methamphetamine. He was assessed $185.25 in court costs and fines plus a $41.38 civil penalty to Walmart.

* Joseph Scott Vincent, 43, P.O. Box 67, Elizabeth, was arraigned on charges of no insurance, expired motor vehicle inspection and driving while suspended or revoked and released on a $1,000 personal recognizance bond.

* Zachary Paul Parsons, 25, 1348 Slate Run Road, Belleville, was arraigned on the charge of transferring or receiving stolen property and released on a $5,000 surety bond.

PARKERSBURG — The following cases were heard in Wood County Magistrate Court on Jan. 10.

* Misty Lynn Bostic, 48, 1021 24th St., Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to driving while suspended, a second offense, and using a cell phone without a hands-free device. She was assessed $360.25 in court costs and fines.

* Ashley L. Haynes, 21, 1408 1/2 Spring St., Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to charges of trespassing and shoplifting and was assessed $440.50 in court costs and fines plus a $125.52 civil penalty to the victim.

* Emily Suzanne Alkire, 43, Ellenboro, was dismissed on the charges of domestic battery, accidents involving damage to a vehicle, violation of a protective order and false reporting of an emergency, because the alleged victim was not present.

* Adam Scott Townsend, 39, 2001 22nd Ave., Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to providing a place for the use of a controlled substance and was sentenced to unsupervised probation for one year and assessed $160.25 in court costs and fines.

* Jessica Nicole Hopkins, 25, 1132 Swann St., Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to driving while under the influence and driving too fast for conditions. She was sentenced to time served and assessed $520.50 in court costs and fines.

* Jamie Lynn Liston, 35, 122 Onward Branch Road, Williamstown, pleaded guilty to driving while impaired and was assessed $335.25 in court costs and fines.

* Cynthia L. Castro, 52, 4012 4th Ave., Parkersburg, was dismissed on the charges of fraudulent motor vehicle inspection and no insurance because the officer was not present.

* Jason Gordon Wiseman, 38, 155 Leachtown Lane, Walker, pleaded guilty to no insurance and as part of a plea agreement was dismissed on a charge of no operator’s. He was assessed $410.25 in court costs and fines.

* Joshua Caine Varney, 35, 406 Harpold St., Ravenswood, pleaded guilty to a charge of speeding going 58 in a 45 mph zone, and was assessed $170.25 in court costs and fines.

* Amy Sue Shuster, 39, Caldwell, pleaded guilty to the charge of domestic battery and as part of a plea agreement was dismissed on a charge of possession of a controlled substance without a prescription. She was sentenced to one year of unsupervised probation and assessed $185.25 in court costs and fines.

* Megan Elysa Dorset, 30, 295 South Ridge Road, Davisville, was dismissed on charge of possession of a controlled substance due to no drug results.

* Amy Jo Romesburg, 31, 630 Rippentuck Road, Friendly, pleaded guilty to driving while suspended or revoked and defective equipment and as part of a plea agreement was dismissed on the charges of driving revoked for DUI. She was assessed $425.50 in court costs and fines.

* Dalton S. Self, 31, 300 Hudson Road, Mineral Wells, pleaded guilty to illegal possession of wildlife and was assessed $180.25 in court costs and fines.

* Henry William Lewis, 34, 905 Seventh St., Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to destruction of property, petit larceny, two counts of obstruction. He was sentenced to one year of probation and assessed $870.75 in court costs and fines.

* Mark Anthony Miracle, 41, 120 Pine Drive, Pennsboro, was dismissed on two counts of possession of a controlled substance due to no lab results.

* Gary Allen Coleman Jr., 32, 1200 Knox Lane, Malta, was dismissed for possession of heroin after no lab results were returned.
