Wood Sheriff

PARKERSBURG — The Wood County Sheriff’s Office released the following reports April 12:

• From April 9-11, the Wood County Sheriff’s Office answered 160 calls: 18 traffic stops; 24 complaints by phone and in person; four domestic calls and domestic protective orders served; nine suspicious persons and vehicle; seven accidents; three larcenies; three mental hygiene order/pick up /transport; nine intrusion alarms; and three warrant service.

• On April 9, deputies responded to Second Avenue in reference to a domestic that had already occurred. The complainant stated that the male had already left, however he had been yelling at her and that she was fine and he had not came inside the residence. The complainant was advised on a DVPO.

• On April 9, a citation was issued to Trevor Williams, 24, of Nash Street, for driving on suspended.

• On April 9, a deputy spoke with the complainant who reported that several items had been stolen after a family party had taken place on April 8. A trail bike and a utility fan had been taken from the garage at the residence. At this time the investigation is pending.

• On April 9, a citation was issued to Mikka Taylor Amore, 30, of Main Street, New Matamoras, for driving on suspended/revoked.

• On April 9, Donald Edward Williams, 42, of Broad Street, was arrested on a charge of third-offense public intoxication. He was processed and placed in the Holding Center pending his arraignment.

• On April 9, Charles Wayne Davis, 58, of Gardenia Drive, was arrested on a charge of violation of a domestic violence protective order. He was processed and confined at the Holding Center pending his arraignment.

• On April 9, deputies responded to Green Meadow Drive in reference to a domestic in progress. The female stated that the male had come into her apartment yelling at her however nothing physical occurred. Jeremy Robert Miller, 41, of State Route 60, Lowell, was arrested on a charge of domestic assault.

• On April 10, a deputy responded to the Wood County Airport in reference to a vehicle accident. The driver stated that she had struck an old ticket stand, the deputy observed front passenger side damage to the vehicle. As this occurred on private property the driver exchanged her insurance information with the airport staff and no crash report was taken.

• On April 10, a deputy responded to Dean Street in reference to a vehicle parked in the complainant’s field. The complainant stated that a vehicle was parked in their field, no damage was done to the gate or the field and no one was around the vehicle. The vehicle was towed.

• On April 10, Haley Aston Jett, 30, of Mill Run Road, Belpre, was arrested on a traffic stop for third-offense driving on suspended and two counts of possession of a controlled substance. She was processed and placed pending her arraignment.

• On April 10, Joshua J. Stackhouse, 40, of Greene Street, Newport, was cited for passing in a no passing zone and no operators.

• On April 10, Codey Lee Buzzard, 26, of Whispering Court, was arrested on a charge of assault on a police officer. He was processed, and confined.

• On April 10, a deputy responded to the Dollar General in Leachtown in reference to a shoplifting in progress. Upon arrival the suspect had left in a vehicle. The assistant manager stated she knew the female who had entered the store and concealed several items on her person, she was confronted by the assistant manager and returned several of the items however had removed some from the packaging and left with those items. Case is pending a warrant service.

• On April 11, Mellany Lucille Morgan, 37, of Lee Creek Road, was arrested on a warrant for shoplifting and current charges of reckless driving and driving on suspended.

• On April 11, a citation was issued to Shawn Wayne Bailey, 30, of Reed Street, for third-offense driving on suspended and no insurance.

• On April 11, a citation was issued to Jason Evan Matheny, 42, of Gladstone Street, for driving on suspended/revoked.

• On April 11, Shaylene Devion Fordyce, 28, of Camden Avenue, was arrested on a charge of possession of a controlled substance.
