Circuit Court

PARKERSBURG — The following cases were handled recently in Wood County Circuit Court:

* Katie D. Cline, 27400 State Route 7, Southgate Trailer Park, Marietta, pleaded guilty before Judge Jason Wharton to grand larceny by embezzlement and second-offense shoplifting. A motion was made for alternative sentencing, and a pre-sentencing investigation has been ordered for the Adult Probation Office. Sentencing is set for June 28 at 11:30 a.m.

* Mark D. Blouir, 43, 506 Lubeck Ave., Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to fraudulent schemes before Judge Jason Wharton. A motion was made for alternative sentencing and a pre-sentencing investigation has been ordered for the Adult Probation Office. Sentencing is set for August 2 at 11:30 a.m.

* Allen M. Mace, 33, 4200 Centralia Rd., Sutton, W.Va., pleaded guilty to fleeing from an officer in a vehicle with reckless disregard. Mace is already involved in substance abuse treatment and sentencing before Judge Jason Wharton is being deferred to allow him the time to finish. Sentencing is set for Aug. 2 at 11 a.m.

* The trial of Burl D. Waggoner, 28, 1 Worthington Lane, Apt. 2, Parkersburg, on a charge of possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver was continued to the next term of court. Trial is now set before Judge Jason Wharton on June 29 at 9 a.m.

* James F. Will III, 39, 107 Pickering St., Lot 1, Parkersburg, pleaded guilty before Judge Robert Waters to unlawful possession of a deadly weapon by a felon, and was sentenced to three years in state prison with a credit of 173 days credited for time served. Motions for alternative sentencing were denied. Court recommends the maximum sentence be served. Court costs will be paid within a year of his release.

* Jessica J. Fritts, 31, 1202 16th St., Parkersburg, pleaded guilty before Judge Robert Waters to possession of a controlled substance-meth, sentenced to one to five years in state prison with a credit of 74 days for time already served. Motions for alternative sentencing were denied.

* Brian K. Sidwell, 40, no address given, pleaded guilty before Judge Robert Waters to drug delivery resulting in a death. A pre-sentencing investigation was ordered. Sentencing is set for June 25 at 11 a.m.

* Russell Traugh, 38, currently being held at the North Central Regional Jail, is scheduled to got to trial before Judge Robert Waters on May 18. He is charged with three counts of possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver, possession of a controlled substance, two counts of a prohibited person in possession of firearms, four counts of fraudulent use of an access device and conspiracy to commit a felony. Pre-trial motions need to be made by May 4.

* Michael R. Forman, 40, 815 14th St., Parkersburg, was charged with two counts of possession with intent to deliver heroin. The trial, before Judge Robert Waters, was continued to the next term of court. Trial is set for May 18. Pre-trial motions are due by May 4. Home confinement was revoked, and he was put in the custody of the North Central Regional Jail.

* Ronnie Rush, 34, 107 Post Mill Way, Apt. 308, Mineral Wells, is charged with fleeing in a vehicle causing bodily injury and receiving/transferring a stolen vehicle. He had to have a change of counsel due to a conflict of interest. The trial, before Judge Robert Waters, is set for June 2. Pre-trial motions need to be made by May 17.

* Mylisha Sue Stephens, 30, 1341 Spring St., Parkersburg, was charged with concealment or removal of a small child. A plea agreement has been offered. Trial is set before Judge Robert Waters for June 2. Pre-trial motions need to be made by May 17.

* Larry E. Swiger Sr., 39, 45 East Cabana Way, Elizabeth, was charged with failure to provide notice of registration changes. A plea agreement was offered, but it was declined. Swiger was scheduled to go to trial before Judge Robert Waters on Tuesday, April 27. No other information was available.

* Arianna Star Clark, 27, 1000 Maple Hills Park, Cross Lanes, W.Va., pleaded guilty before Judge Robert Waters to grand larceny. She has agreed to enter into a long-term substance abuse treatment center. If successful, she can serve her sentence on probation as long as she meets all court conditions.

Wood Magistrate

PARKERSBURG — Wood County Magistrate Court released the following reports April 26:

* Rhonda S. Freeland, 48, 51 Marks Manor, Palestine, pleaded guilty to an expired driver’s license and was assessed $180.25 in court costs and fines.

* Samantha Renae Miller, 26, 1411 Andrew St., Apt. A, Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to speeding and was assessed $175.25 in court costs and fines.

* Ashley McCumber, 27, 4486 Pilcher Road, Marianna, Fla., pleaded no contest to no insurance and pleaded and paid court costs and fines over the phone.

* Kristyn K. Smith, 22, 2604 26th Ave., Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to reckless driving and no inspection and was assessed $195.25 in court costs and fines.

* A charge of entry of building other than dwelling was dismissed for Thomas Joseph Lauric, 28, 1000 Kemper St. Apt. 5, Parkersburg.

* Preston Scott Harris, 27, 705 Virgil St., Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to fleeing from an officer and was sentenced to jail for 30 days with credit for 10 days served. He was assessed $170.25 in court costs and fines.

* Jennie Iona Tranter, 42, 1402 Andrew St., Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to shoplifting and was sentenced to jail for 16 days, served. She was ordered to pay a $50 civil penalty to Dollar General and was assessed $170.25 in court costs and fines.

* Mika Shane Morris, 29, P.O. Box 44, Middlebourne, had a preliminary hearing waived for a grand larceny charge.

* Samantha Jo Hornbeck, 28, 1617 Pike St., Parkersburg, was arraigned on two counts of shoplifting, trespassing and obstructing and was released on a $2,000 personal recognizance bond.

* Nathan C. Shelton, 48, 504 25th St., Vienna, was arraigned on a driving under the influence charge and is being held on a $500 surety bond.

* Jacob Lee Baldwin, 32, 354 Cross Creek Lane, Mineral Wells, was arraigned on a harassment charge and was released on a $500 surety bond.

* Keisha Marie Salyers, 34, 49 Brown Ave., Apt. A, Parkersburg, was arraigned on charges of shoplifting and trespassing and was released on a $2,000 personal recognizance bond.

* Chelsea Marie Knapp, 28, 549 Carpenter Run Road, Waverly, was arraigned on a charge of possession of a controlled substance and was released on a $500 personal recognizance bond.

* Thomas Harold Odie, 62, 200 Griffith Hill Way, Greer, S.C., was arraigned on charges of killing turkey over bait and illegal possession of wildlife and was released on a $500 personal recognizance bond.

* Zachary Kevin Miller, 19, 1408 20th St., Parkersburg, was arraigned on charges of improper registration and no inspection and was released on a $1,000 personal recognizance bond.

* Kimberly Nicole Dudley, 30, 1012 19th St., Parkersburg was arraigned on a charge of escape from custody and is being held on a $10,000 surety bond.

* Levi William Barker, 22, 1202 15th St., Parkersburg, was arraigned on charges of trespassing and petit larceny and was released on a $1,000 bond.

* Jeffrey Jason Miller, 44, 41 Helen Ave., Parkersburg, was arraigned on a charge of possession of a controlled substance and was released on a $500 surety bond.

* Alisa Ann Greiner, 59, 514 Gale Ave., Parkersburg, was arraigned on charges of domestic battery, failure to process and obstruction and was released on a $1,500 surety bond.

* Joseph Paul Stukey, 35, 2307 Covert St., Parkersburg, was arraigned on charges of strangulation and possession of a controlled substance and is being held on a $5,500 surety bond.

* Timothy Allen Alkire, 44, 4013 Powell St., Parkersburg, was arraigned on an obstruction charge and is being held on a $500 surety bond.

* Anthony Charles Smith, 35, 413 13th St., Parkersburg, was arraigned on charges of two counts of shoplifting and trespassing and was released on a $3,000 personal recognizance bond.

* Kimberly Ann Burgess, 46, 111 Emperor Lane, Charleston, was arraigned on charges of three counts of a worthless check and petit larceny and was released on a $200 personal recognizance bond.

* Allen Lee Deem, 48, 1215 Lynn St., Parkersburg, was arraigned on a shoplifting charge and was released on a $500 personal recognizance bond.

* Travis Chichester, 29, 1229 22nd St., Parkersburg, was arraigned on a charge of failure to appear and is being held on a $5,000 surety bond.

* Jason Michael Bernard, 47, 41 Helen Ave., Parkersburg, was arraigned on a charge of possession of a controlled substance and was released on a $500 surety bond.

Wood Sheriff

PARKERSBURG — The Wood County Sheriff’s Department released the following reports on April 26:

April 22

* Deputies responded to Davisville Road for an unwanted person. Nicholas Tyler Norman, 35, of Cypress Street was arrested on charges of violation of a domestic violence protective order.

* Justin Lee Dillon, 32, of State Route 681, Third Street, Reedsville, was arrested on charges of fugitive from justice as he was a wanted person out of Belpre with extradition.

April 23

* A deputy responded to the Wood County Fairgrounds on Butcher Bend Road for a destruction of property. The gates had been damaged by a vehicle running into the gate corner post, as well as parts of the chain link fence. It appears that the center of the vehicle front hit the large corner post knocking it over and pulling the concrete base from the ground. The estimated cost to repair is about $6,000. The vehicle is being sought, and the incident is under investigation.

* A citation was issued to Markita C. Garnes, 34, of Parkersburg Road for driving on suspended or revoked.

* Nathan Christopher Shelton, 39, of Williams Highway, was arrested on charges of DUI.

* Jacob Lee Baldwin, 32, of Cross Creek Lane, Mineral Wells, was arrested on a warrant for harassment. He was processed and placed pending his arraignment.

April 24

* Allen Lee Deem, 49, Jackson Avenue, was arrested on a warrant for shoplifting second Offense. He was placed in the Holding Center pending arraignment.

* Codey Dallas Maze, 28, of Maze Road, Belpre, was arrested on a warrant for attempted grand larceny.

April 25

* Lee Anna Charlton, 39, Federal Ridge, Little Hocking, was issued a citation for driving on suspended/revoked and no proof of insurance.

* Jeremy Wendell Ables, 36, Happy Valley Lane, was served with a warrant from Jackson County for failure to appear. He was in custody on other charges.

* Jeffrey Jason Miller, 44, of Helen Avenue, and Jason Michael Bernard, 48, of Helen Avenue were arrested on charges of possession of a controlled substance.

* The office answered 206 calls April 22-25: 22 traffic stops; 22 complaints by phone and in person; 10 domestic calls and domestic protective orders served; seven suspicious persons or vehicles; six larceny; nine accidents; five mental hygiene order/pick up /transport; 12 intrusion alarms; four warrant service; 12 disorderly subject/ vehicle; three residence/business/area check.

Parkersburg Police

PARKERSBURG — The Parkersburg Police Department released the following reports on April 27:

April 23

* Kimberly Dudley, 30, of Parkersburg was arrested for a parole violation.

* Gary Losey, 39, Vienna, was arrested for fugitive from justice.

* Rex Nolan, 30 of Parkersburg was arrested on a warrant for possession with intent.

* Timothy Alkire, 44, of Parkersburg, was arrested for obstructing.

* Officers responded to Swann Street for a stolen registration plate.

* Officers responded to the area of Roseland Avenue and cited Zakkary Beckett for larceny and loitering.

* Officers responded to Seventh Street for a possible burglary.

* Officers responded to Brookview Street for a burglary.

April 24

* Alisa Greiner, 59, of Davisville was arrested for obstructing, failure to process/fingerprint and domestic battery.

* Levi Barker, 22, of Parkersburg was arrested on a warrant for petit larceny.

* Samantha Hornbeck, 28, of Parkersburg was arrested on a warrant for shoplifting.

* Travis Chichester, 29, of Parkersburg was arrested on a capias.

* Daniel Facemyre, 21, of Parkersburg was arrested on for domestic violence bond violation.

* Officers responded to Jameson Street for a larceny.

* Officers responded to Dollar General on Seventh Street for a larceny.

* Officers responded to Plato’s Closet for a shoplifting.

* Officers responded to Walmart and cited Victoria Sampson and Marshal Nelson for shoplifting.

April 25

* Anthony Smith, 35, of Parkersburg was arrested on warrants for second-offense shoplifting and trespassing.

* Keisha Salyers, 34 of Parkersburg was arrested on warrants for shoplifting and trespassing.

* Officers responded to Michael’s and cited Desirae Dawson and Michael Runyon for shoplifting.

* From April 23-25, officers responded to 13 motor vehicle accidents.

Williamstown Police

WILLIAMSTOWN — The Williamstown Police Department released the following reports on April 26:

April 19

* Victoria Henthorn, 36, Marietta, was cited for speed 41/25 on Highland Avenue.

April 22

* Sara Smith, 25, Parkersburg, was cited for speed 45/25 on Highland Avenue.

* Shelley Petty, 65, Belpre, was cited for failure to yield following a two-vehicle accident on Columbia Avenue.

April 23

* Tonya Malone, 31, Waverly, was cited for speed 41/25 on Highland Avenue.

* Robert Vanni, 27, Vienna, was cited for speed 41/25 on Highland Avenue.

* Officers responded to a domestic dispute in the 200 block of West Second Street. Female party left scene at her request after obtaining personal property. domestic violence assistance information provided.

April 24

* Officers responded to a reported overdose in the 100 block of 4 1/2 Street. A 36-year-old Williamstown male was transported by ambulance to Marietta Memorial Hospital.

* Immanuel Shivers, 20, Coushatta, La., was cited for speed 57/35 on West Third Street.

* Maguire Morris, 22, Dover, was cited for speed 44/25 on Highland Avenue.
